Here's another great looking steelbook from BestBuy. It's glossy and it just looks amazing. Though being glossy means it's a fingerprint magnet (which doesn't bother me at all). The front artwork is essentially the same as the movie poster, but the ship is also visible, along with the planet. The backside has artwork from inside of the ship, and inside the steelbook contains a shot of the hibernation pods (you can see Jim and Aurora in them). Moreover, Sony is smart in making a 3-disc 4k + 3D + standard 2D + digital hd combo. I wish all movie companies/distributors provided combos like this because it makes it near future proof. The movie itself somewhat depends on your views. It had some controversy regarding the two main characters. Basically, it looks like Aurora developed Stockholm Syndrome with her captor Jim. I thought it was a bit absurd to even say she developed that condition. It's not nearly psychological what Jim did, and Aurora is a strong character who seems more than capable of fending herself (<<<<SPOILER: she beat up Jim and maybe thought about killing him when she found out why she woke out of hibernation early>>>>). Nevertheless, I thought it was a good sci-fi flick with some romance, drama, and wonder. Any action sequences are hardly prevalent in this film so don't expect it. Overall, it's a great steelbook to add to your collection. If you don't mind the controversial part of the movie, if you think it's there, and you like sci-fi romance, then watch it. Rent before buying, and if you plan to own this movie, get the steelbook!

This might be the best science fiction romance film I’ve ever seen. The acting was outstanding thanks to an amazing script brought to life by Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. I didn't think I was going to like this film as much as I did considering I’m not really a fan of Jennifer Lawrence, but nevertheless Lawrence won me over with an outstanding performance guiding both Pratt’s journey as well the audiences hence preventing everyone from being lost in space.

I have been following Jennifer Lawrence since her Hunger Games trilogy and she doesn't disappoint. Me and my daughter saw this in the movies and liked it so much that we wanted to get the DVD. Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence had great chemistry on this film. I really like these type of sci-fi movies that make you think if that could be the future!

I always love space movies , this one is a love story of being alone trying to survive on an interstellar trip that is light years away from their destination . With great actors chris prat and Jennifer Lawrence this movie has action , drama and thriller . Recommended !

Very creative story and hard to look away from! Very suspenseful and beautifully done.

I bought it mainly for the digital copy but it didn't come with it so that's disappointing , it's not the same as in the way its advertised

Picked this up yesterday, and really enjoyed it. Looks gorgeous in 4K! Beautiful story, fun, romantic, and thrilling. Looking forward to watching it again!

You gotta love hot and talented Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in this nicely filmed "spaceship story!" There are some great special effects. Especially, for example, involving gravity and a swimming pool on the spaceship going through a long-distance voyage in outer space. AND more special effects involving Visually Stunning "cosmos-effects." The acting by both male and female leads is excellent. AND a bartender Android character, played by the brilliant Michael Sheen (actor in the TWILIGHT movies) is UNexpected, perfect, sublime, nuanced, and so enjoyable to watch! I watched this film twice in the big-screen theaters. And now, after two more DVD viewings, the movie still is awesome to watch from the above three perspectives,... And the cinematography, color balances, lighting, mood, atmosphere, and movie's plot(s) are still equally attention-grabbing! I'm so glad I got this DVD to watch again and again, for whenever the mood for this visually stunning film with intense dramatic enjoyable acting calls to me again and again!

I love this movie. I could watch it over and over again. I have finally been able to watch this movie as I have been wanting to watch it but I had so many movies to watch this was bogged down on the list for 3 years (haha). I finally watched it as it was prerecorded from live tv and it turned out to be an excellent movie. I bought it in blu-ray so we will see how it up-convert and how it will look on my awesome 4k tv. They do make the movie in 4k but they didn’t have any at my local best-buy. So I might end up with another copy or five (you know how they give you 3 different copies now with every purchase). Watch it. I recommend it.

Passengers stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in a space love story. I thought their would be more sci-fi in this film but there is just enough to peak my interest. (Spoiler) Chris Pratt's hibernation pod wakes up 90 years early and he is so lonely he wakes up Jennifer Lawrence hibernation pod to have some company. At first they things are going well until the bartender reveals to Jennifer Lawrence character that Chris Pratt's character woke her up early. On top of this there is a problem with the ship that nearly destroys every one. This movie is an entertaining film for a Saturday afternoon flick.

Talk about how to start a rocky relationship ! Though there's those of you who might beg to differ. At best a rather refreshing take on a romance gone all wrong. It was a odd pairing to see but yet this one hit the mark at bridging the two together. Who would've thought that Romance would meet Sci-Fi this way. To think this love story took place in outer space is what makes it even more appealing. I enjoyed the story line and it was a visual delight. This was by far a perfect example of how to tell a good story and make it believable. There's not much I can say other than It's Simplistically Devine & Optically Refine !

Although I wasn’t completely satisfied with the ending, I rather enjoyed the movie overall. The art direction, atmosphere and sets were really top notch. I’m a sucker for thoughtful, hard sci-fi movies, And this one posed an interesting moral and ethical dilemma at the core of the story. I would recommend this film to any sci-fi fans out there- if they’re willing to overlook a few lapses in logic here and there!

Going into this film, I did not know what to expect. In the end, I really enjoyed the wild ride it took me on even if it was somewhat predictable. The two leads have great chemistry, and the premise is very intriguing. I liked that the film begs the question of what it means to have a life well-lived even when the reality around you is out of your control. I believe this space drama is certainly worth the watch.

Well written Sci-fi Rom-Com which I don't usually like, but luved the story! And the Spaceship was awesome. That's what I want to travel in.

This is a movie you can watch over and over and it will still keep you glued to the screen. Excellent acting offers the suspense to keep you rooting for the characters while special effects make it believable. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are well known now, but not so much when this picture was made. They made a great pair of believable characters for the story.

Great little film that combines sy-fy and romance. The story is intelligent and moves quickly. This is not "Pretty Woman" in outer space. The idea of what if your future was taken away so that you would have a future is an interesting premise that is played out nicely by the two leads. Good film for a Saturday night viewing with your significant other.

The visuals in this movie pop like none I've seen before. Tight focus, sharp as a tack details, and set decoration that is almost beyond description. Just simply stunning. And the actual plot of the movie is quite different from what the trailers and advertisements suggest. Much more to it than just two people waking up at the wrong time. A very compelling story.

One of the Managers helped me get a wiring conversion harness so I could more easily do a radio install. He had the exact item in the back, sold it to me and made the whole thing easy.
