This movie got me more in the know of what happened during this sad day in Boston. Seeing this put together after reading about it and watching the news really seems on point. The acting is believable and since I purchased the 4K version I'm happy with the picture. I did not give this 5 stars only because I did not get any wow factor watching it in 4K. I think it would of been just as good if I purchased it in regular Blu Ray. I just expected more because 4K Ultra HD Blu Rays cost about 2X the amount and for that I wanted it to be a better experience. I do have all the 4K equipment so I know it's not my fault. Do not decide against buying this movie because it is a good movie but maybe you can get it on sale.

I'm a generally a Mark Wahlberg fan, in this movie he does an outstanding job portraying a LE officer in Boston. The movie really brings out the impact of the Boston Marathon attack in the city and how the people rose up to overcome their tragedy. Very intense movie at times, beware lots of language.

This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

This movie is a wonderful way of honoring the lives lost in the Boston Marathon. It is really well directed and the cast really helps with giving you the true story of that horrible day. This movie is is a must see, very respectfully told on film it is also a wonderful way to see how committed the first responders helped to keep Boston United even under the worst possible conditions

This movie was amazing. One of the most action packed saddest movies ive ever seen. I will watch it again and I reccomend to all the people that have heard of the Boston marathon bombing which is basically everyone. This movie will blow you away with the acting and the vast events and characters and the acting is phenomenal. The only reason I gave it 9/10 instead of a 10/10 was because it just needed a little bit more juicyness to it but other than that please watch i

Peter Berg + Mark Wahlberg! What more could you ask for? This is a great movie about a tragic event in American history. I also have to mention that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross once again make an amazing film score!

I needed to spend a few more dollars to get to the free shipping threshold, so I picked this up for the wife as she is a Wahlberg fan. It is a good movie though and I don't regret spending the $5 for it.

Based on a true story of the Boston marathon bombing. Great cast, including Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman and Kevin Bacon. Police action and suspense throughout keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Being from Boston, this movie hit an extra cord. It's a good movie on how they eventually caught the coward responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings. Well rounded movie.

Based on true event when the Boston marathon suffered a terrorist attack. Film shows how the sinister plan was executed and how the authorities worked together to get the attackers.

Since I ran the Boston Marathon in 2008, it was more than special. I had no idea of how intense the search was for the bombers. A great movie , especially in Dolby Atmos sound

This is a quality DVD. The sound and color are great. This is definitely a movie that keeps you entertained, and being it's based on a true story, you get a personal connection.

This movie does a respectful and accurate job of depicting the terrible events that unfolded on Patriots Day, and how Bostonians bravely handled the pursuit of justice.

Really intense film. I was in Cambridge during the events and saw hundreds of police cars converging at fast speed on Watertown, a really sleepy little bedroom town next to Boston, across the Charles River. I remember that being in a lockdown was eerie. Boston and neighboring four towns were affected. All of us stayed inside and police helicopters flew overhead, looking for movement. It was really scary -- like being in a war zone. After the shelter in place order was lifted around 6 pm on the second day, the man with the boat went out to smoke and peeked inside his boat and saw the second bomber semi conscious inside. I was surprised and glad that the police took him alive. They were pretty pumped up as there had been a vicious shooting of an MIT campus police officer the day before. He was killed execution style in his car, with his gun still in its holster. The cold vicious nature of the killing affected the police. Police are a very tight knit group in Boston. Transit cop, University cop -- it didn't matter. The whole experience was as terrible and chilling as depicted. And the spirit of Boston Strong that was born that day was real. The courage of everyone was incredible. And people cheered police after the arrest was made, as shown. Yes, that was very real. Five stars for bringing the whole experience back so realistically. Made me cry. Second bomber: A federal jury gave him death. In a liberal place like Massachusetts. It was the death of the young boy that sealed it. And defendants flipping the bird to a security camera. He was unrepentant and passive during the trial. In the sentencing portion, he read a statement of apology but it did not appear to be his own. Four years later, he sits on death row in a supermax prison in Colorado. Appeals could take years.

This movie made it onto my all time favorite movie list. It is very well written, the story develops very well. There is no point in this movie that I got bored in.

i love real life movies and this one does not disappoint, even though it was a tough time for Boston folks. mark w. does a great job recreating the real life hero.

Although this is a tragic event it is good to watch to get a better idea of how it all happened. Good movie if you like movies based on true stories.
