The sound on this headset is excellent for gaming, the microphone quality is good, they are comfortable enough for hours of wearing, and the color changing can be fun. The wireless range is also excellent and easily reaches through walls when you get up for snacks and such, much better than its Turtle Beach equivalent. However, once I got my low battery signal and plugged them in to charge, absolutely nothing happened. No indication of charging, no lights, and after hours of leaving them plugged in just in case, no charge. I saw a couple of reviews that mentioned this before but figured it to be bad luck. I'm sure this is a great headset if you get a working pair, but be wary~

Love this headset. I spend hours on skype most days of the week. Being able to charge the headset while using it is one of the best features. The quality is generally very good and I love the ability to put a second sound feed through (and control the balance) when needed. I rarely bother to worry about what color is shown, but it's a neat feature to have available when I'm in the mood for a change. The biggest downside is that the unit is heavier than most I've used before. As I have a bad back/neck, it can become fairly uncomfortable after longer use. The lights on it flash while charging which is also agitating when charging at night if you are at all light sensitive as they are quite bright.

I needed a headset for PC gaming to replace my Logitech wireless set with a broken headband. Went with these based on the cost and the "glowing" reviews. I charged them for about 3 hours according to the instructions. Seem to hold a charge for a couple days of on again - off again gaming. They are a bit snug on my big melon but they are comfortable. Sound is much better than my Logitech's and there are 3 settings to choose from. Normal, Bass Boost, and a vibrant surround sound setting. Mic sound is ok, about what I expect from a wireless set. Everyone I game with hears me ok with no complaints. If there are 2 things I have to knock this pair on are 1) it is a bit of a pain to turn the glow down or off, and 2) compared to my previous headset which had a small nano receiver that tucked into the headset when not in use along with a 6 foot charging cable, this has a USB dongle with a connected mini plug hanging out of it, plus a 12 foot charging cable. With space at a premium on my desktop, I have cluttered it up. The charge cable is very sturdy, so I can't complain about that and the dongle glows blue, same as the headset and everything else on my PC. Not a bad trade-off. PROs: Price, durability, sound, signal and battery life. CONs: A bit of a pain to turn down the glow.

These headphones are have, so far, done fairly well in performing to expectations. There are three sound quality settings, which allow you to somewhat tailor the quality to your own preference. Being able to change the LED color on the headphones itself is a novelty, but shouldn't be a selling point as you can't really enjoy the view. I have read about a possible flaw with the microphone ceasing to work, possibly because it pulls out of the headphone body; I personally have avoided this so far by simply leaving the microphone extended and being careful not to move it overly much. I do like the capability these headphones have allowing the user to shift the volume more towards chat or towards game, to allow you to hear others better.

Great gaming and chat headset. Got it for my girlfriend because of all blue lights around the ear piece and she loves it. She uses it all the time to play games, voice chat, watch movies, ect. She is also not very careful with her stuff and so far this has survived a lot of beatings in a short time with out issue.

The sound quality is great, and the mic quality is good as well. They begin to hurt if you wear them too long, around four hours or so for me. They work well with PC, Mac, iPhone. I haven't tried the other features.

This is a great wireless headset for the price. I actively use this set with my Xbox 360, PS3, and Xbox One. This set is much more durable than any previous set of Turtle Beaches I have owned. The sound quality, although stereo only, is very good. The battery life is great; I have been able to get through those long 12+ hour grinds on a single charge. Chat quality is very good, and this set works great on the Xbox One with the Microsoft Chat Adapter. There is a small cable from the controller to the headset on the Xbox One, but you do get full volume controls and muting abilities with a simple thumb press. I have only one very minor gripe with the product. The headset is very tight when it is new. It can be tight to the point of being uncomfortable, but it does break in with time. Overall, I don't think another headset with this amount of versatility and this build quality can found for this price. If you are looking for a multi-console wireless headset, look no further than the Afterglow Prismatic.

I bought the headphones for my son. He uses them for the computer and as a headset for his phone while he watches videos, plays games and takes calls. Sound is great while using them (even when on the other end of a phone call). They are comfortable on his head. At first he thought the lights were a "cool" feature, but doesn't think twice about them now. He feels he has made a good choice.

I use them to listen to music and for gaming on PS3 and PS Vita. The sound quality is incredible. Being able to change the mode for games is really nice to emphasize either chat or the game. I like the cability to change the color too. They are comfortable to wear as well.

I purchased this headset to play Star Wars the Old Republic. I needed it to be wireless so I could sit in my recliner and play (i just had major back surgery). This headset performs well and the sound quality is good enough for me. The battery lasts surprisingly long. Recharging is easy, I just hook it up to the computer via usb and walk away. It was slightly difficult to get the computer to recognize the headset at first, but just remember to hook it up via usb to install the drivers and you will see it in your sound device list. The only real complaint I have is that after a coupe hours I have to take them off. They get a bit uncomfortable. I would recommend you buy them.

I think the AfterGlow Prismatic Wireless Headset is a great product!!! I have been a gamer for most of my life and have dealt with various headsets that all had wires. I've found that wired headsets typically last only a few months at a time because typically there ends up being a connection issue which causes either the mic or the sound to cut out. After looking at various reviews I decided to give the Afterglow wireless headset a try. I've had it for about a month now and I absolutely love it!! It was so easy to set up and had excellent sound. It has adjustable sound control on the side that can switch between more game sound or more chat sound (If you are skyping, listening to music, or using another online chat system such as Ventrilo or TeamSpeak). Another feature that grabbed my attention was that you can change the glowing color on the side. The only problem with that is whatever color you change it to doesn't stay once you turn off the headset. This headset also has really long battery life when fully charged. It usually lasts around 10-12 hours for me which can go a long way if you are only using it for a few hours a day. One of the only complaints I have about this headset is the bulkiness of it. The headset practically swallows my head. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm a girl or what. Because of this though, the headset blocks out outside sounds really well which allows for a better gaming experience. Another con is that it has some wires for being wireless. The headset itself has a USB connection to the computer which is the wireless receiver. This wouldn't be a problem but it's a really big USB receiver (about 3") Also if you want to play XBOX with the headset, it has to be plugged in constantly for it to work. The charger also features a USB connection. Depending on whether you are on a laptop or computer and the amount of USB ports you have this can be a real pain. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product for anyone considering a wireless headset!

Instead of buying my 4th turtle beach headset I decided to try something else. I had purchased a nearly $400 wireless turtle beach headset and had numerous issues getting it to sync. One day it just stopped syncing. So frustrating to spend 30 minutes trying to get a headset to turn on. The wired versions suffered similar problems an still cost $60ish dollars each. One suffered a cord bite by a child, the other simply had a cord pull loose inside the easier and the mic would not work. I refused to buy another turtle beach. I wanted something cheap and wired having spent so much already. Best buy didn't have much that wasn't turtle beach. Bought this fearing it would be similar to my expensive turtle beach. Completely different experience. Syncs right up each time without complicated sync instructions. Battery lasts 8 hours or so. I couldn't get the color to change at first but was willing to live with it. Now I understand the issue: you have to hold the button down "when it is already on and synced". So it won't change colors unless you are synced. No complaints. Sound is great. Everything works. Solid build. 5 stars.

Fantastic sound on all three modes. The gaming enhancement mode brings you deeper into the games. We listen to music walking around the house too. Having multiple sets of headphones running at the same time does not cause any conflicts.

My daughter really likes these. She says they are comfortable and the light colors are changeable or can be turned off completely. Unlike other lighted headphones she has used these lights are not a distraction in the peripheral vision. These were not the ones we were trying to get her to agree to but she is happy with them and they serve their purpose so that is all that matters.
