Customers are saying

Customers value the Victrix Pro BFG controller's customizable button layout and high-quality build, citing the excellent feel and responsiveness as key strengths. Many appreciate the extensive customization options and generally positive battery life, although some find the controller lightweight and smaller than expected. A significant portion of feedback centers on the high price point and the lack of vibration features. While some experienced stick drift, others reported no such issues.

Best controller since elite series 2!

I love this controller so much I purchased two of them. The only complaint I have about this controller is coming in a future update and that is complete button mapping. The biggest complaint other people have with this controller is the lack of vibration functionality. I personally don’t care for vibration because I turn it off in most games anyway. I’ve seen reviews saying that the controller is cheaply made yet. There is zero proof of this. I have been using this controller like a beat stick for the last 2 to 3 weeks that I’ve had it. I love the six button layout, the tactile buttons are perfect for fighting games. The D pad options are great. My friend loves that there is an octagonal gate for the analog sticks. I love that. I finally have a controller. I enjoy using with my PlayStation 5. I hate the dualsense controller. I will not be buying the dual sense edge controller due to the fact that not only does it cost more than this controller, but it only has two back paddles, when realistically four is needed. the hair trigger Mona on the triggers is phenomenal, especially when paired with the taller right stick. I love that the software is going to be updated to add new features over time. I love that this controller has a wired option, because when playing fighting games and FPS games, some people, worry about input lag and having a wired option can decrease the input lag substantially in most controllers. However, I have not experienced a single bit of input lag when using the wireless mode, it is probably due to the fact that it uses its own wireless dongle instead of a Bluetooth protocol. This controller is a bit on the lighter weight side. However, that does not mean it is cheaply made. If you squeeze the controller tightly and try to rotate your hands, it does not make any creaking. Sounds like you hear on many other controllers. The rubber grips are perfect. This will be my only PS5 controller for the life of this generation because it is honestly the best controller I have used since the Xbox elite series 2 controller. It has replaced what I use on the PC as well, which was my series 2 controller

I own a DSE its amazing but I LOVE my elite 2 and decided to give this one a try. Already had to return the brand new one because the dongle was not connecting wireless but when wired worked perfect so I knew it was not the controller that really let me down but I had to give it another shot because I like the way the controller felt when I played it wired. After exchanging it for another new one dongle worked flawless this time and wireless was good to go. This was made for Street Fighter imo and I love it for I still play 30th anniversary, sf6 and some COD games. Switching from fight pad to regular works great and you can recalibrate the sticks which pdp recommends every time you swap. The 4 back buttons work great and you can remap them on pdp’s website. The trigger stops works good but can be made/build better but I’ll just have to get used to them. I can see Victrix releasing a better version of this controller in the future. BFG definitely on the right direction with some improvements this controller would be it. Cons would be price, dongle, and some replacements parts they could have charged us extra for if things go bad. Bottom line if you don’t mind not having the exclusive features of a DSE and are a fan of the Xbox layout like me go for it especially if it ever goes on sale. If you don’t care for the Xbox layout go for the DSE for ALL the cool exclusive features the dual sense brings and for the price of these pro controllers that start around $200 its hard for me to recommend this unless you like the offset layout

I bought "Open Box: Excellent", and understand why they'd be returned despite being really good controllers. If I were younger, I'd probably adapt very fast. So 4 stars because I can totally see these being awesome for others. For me, however, I was hitting the clutch triggers all the time thanks to damaged nerves in my left hand. For design, the right and left triggers curve out making it too likely for me to accidentally press them. But the disappointment is with no vibration. Maybe I missed something? I didn't find any way to turn it on if these do have that function, so pretty sure they don't. Still... if it wasn't for my "me" problem with nerve damage and I was able to spend the time adapting, I'd love to keep these. I really wanted to love these & give 5 stars, but that lack of vibration diminishes games for me. The storage case is pure bonus and a HUGE bonus at that! Being able to spin the controls around to PS style vs. XBox style is also a winning idea! It's SOOO easy to change where you have the thumb sticks / L3 / R3 buttons! Need a screwdriver for the adjustment? Yup, but that's INCLUDED and has a place to store it in the case!

Likes: Chose left stick postion from PS5 style or Xbox style. Chose between right thumbstick to fighting stick style. Buttons on back make it easier to use traingle, circle, cross and square without the need to take right thumb off the Right stick. The grip and size are good for people with different sized hands. Could change thumbsticks to different heights Dislikes: No haptic feedback. No microphone or speaker. Wont turn the PS5 on from the controller. Controller would lose signal periodically. The dongle takes up a USB slot. Some dislikes could be outweighed by using a headset. Since this is aimed more for pro gamers I’d assume these gamers will have pro headsets. I wantrd to like this more. I enjoy the Xbox style Left Analog stick placement over the Ps5 placement. I got use to the buttons on the back and used them more odten. With the periodic signal loss I couldnt warrant spending $180.

Fits perfectly in my small hands. The paddles in the back are ergonomically awesome for my hands. Quality is ok. Long-lasting battery. The only downside? It's unnecessarily expensive.

Not even sure what to start with. Let's go software, even after multiple delays the software only has update and recelebrate that is it no other support. it feels pretty cheap for the price point.. not terrible but cheap... the provided sticks are not great.. would have liked a middle length instead of way to long and a short one since after using the longer stick for awhile caused pain in my thumb(maybe i'm old idk) The Triggers will activate in game when i rest my fingers on them like i do for EVERY OTHER CONTROLLER which is extremely annoying and was the only reason i even downloaded the software hoping they had some sort of deadzone i could mess with .. The controllers back buttons are great. and being able to swap things around is good since i have always liked the xbox layout, but not worth the cons or price... COME BACK ASTRO CONTROLLERS!! Another positive is the battery seems better than the DuelSense... but that is not saying much.

As someone who also plays on Xbox and uses an Elite Series 2, I got this controller because it felt wrong to play without four back buttons - especially for FPS games like Destiny 2. Before I got this controller, I used my Dualsense Edge. I hated it. Now that I have this, I haven’t touched my Dualsense Edge at all. First, I have small hands so this controller is perfect for me. I don’t feel at risk of straining my hands like I do with Sony’s PS5 controllers. This controller also feels a little lighter than the Dualsense Edge, so there’s less chance of hand fatigue from holding it. There’s no vibration, haptics, or inbuilt mic on this controller - which is perfect for me because I always turn those features off. This controller also can’t turn on the Ps5 by itself, but again, not a big deal. If you like those features, I can understand why those may be cons to you. But, keep in mind that this controller has a MUCH better battery life compared to the Dualsense Edge. I also prefer the Victrix’s thumbsticks as it has less tension and there’s no in built dead zone into them. Another possible con is that there’s no replaceable thumb stick module, but if you get BestBuy’s two year warranty it’s a non-issue in my opinion. I’ve been using this controller for Destiny 2, Apex Legends, COD, and Xdefiant, and have no complaints at all.

For the price youre better off getting the edge because of build quality and features but if youre a fan of the xbox controller over the PlayStation controller this is worth taking the hit on premium feel and features, on this controller you dont miss out on much especially if you dont mind not having vibration, if youre a fighting game fan doubt theres a “controller” out there that fits your needs more than this due to the swappable module for it, would recommend getting the warranty in case any issues such as stick drift happen as i havw not had the controller for much time, only cons in my personal opinion is a cheaper but not necessarily cheap feel to it i like a lighter controller rather than the heavy edge controller and it being priced around 50 dollars more than it should.

Great option for those that like options in a controller. Coming from playing mainly PC and Xbox being able to have the offset sticks is a must. Feel is nice, though i wish the buttons on back werent permanently placed as i hit them while gripping some times. Another down side is where the trigger locks are, you can sometimes hit them with your finger if you over extend. Another minor nuisance is you cant turn the Ps5 on with the controller and manually have to turn the controller off after powering the console down. Also of you play with "auto muting" featurn when you turn the console on you'll have to use a standard Ps5 controller to unmute then reselect the controler as main as there is no way to unmute the system with the Victrix Other then what I posted the controller feels really good in the hand, the gips on the top handles aren't overpowering or to dull. The tigger dont have a lot of wobble like some people have said, maybe they had a defect one as the one i have is acceptable amount of play like on any other controller.

There’s no such thing as a perfect controller, what works for some won’t work for others. This one works for me. Be aware, there’s no haptic feedback, there’s no rumble vibration. Wireless requires a dongle. Can’t turn PS5 on with it. That doesn’t work for some, and that’s fine. It’s not a dealbreaker for me. I like the variety of options for customization and the overall shape feels good in my hands. And I really like the circular d-pad and the ability to flip it (so the sticks are symmetrical with the dpad toward the top). I wouldn’t say it’s money well spent, at least not logically. But it’s not money spent with regret.

Bought this as an open box item and never regretted it. The controller feels so brand new with all the buttons working as expected and the accessories are complete and in excellent condition. Can’t believe I got this for only around 100 bucks. For the controller, it is very awesome. I can’t believe some people saying the quality of this controller doesn’t meet the price. It is totally worth it. The buttons and stick are super responsive, the controllers feels so good to hold as it feels so premium. And changing the configurations like switching the position of the stick and the arrow buttons and switching to a fighting game pad works like magic! Definitely would buy again even at full price!

After using this for about a week I will be returning it, and recommending nobody runs this a their main controller. Pros - It is very customizable - Super easy to set up and swap between profiles. - Very responsive. - Pretty much plug and play but there is software for extra customization. Cons - This controller feels cheap. Like super cheap. Kinda like an off brand controller. It's light and everything is cheap plastic. For the price this is borderline unacceptable. I guess the buttons feel alright. - The triggers are way too sensitive. If your fingers brushes pass them they will go off. You can adjust this in the settings but then the triggers won't register when they are in mouse click. - I had in issue where my triggers would randomly go from where I set them back to mouse click and because of my dead zones they would stop responding mid game. -Absolutely no extra features such as rumble, adaptive triggers or gyro if you're playing more single player titles. This may work for you(if you can set it up correctly) if you are buying it for certain competitive games but probably look elsewhere if you plan on using it for anything else.

    TEKKEN Life Saver

In all honesty I bought this as a cheaper alternative to any actual arcade fight stick and I’m not mad at all with it. My only true gripe with it is as with most third party controllers, the weight is never there this controller is just really light. That’s one hundred percent a personal preference thing but for me I enjoy heavier controllers. But now the positives. It feels great in hand. The ability to configure the button layout is great and it’s an extremely streamlined process, I’ve been able to rotate the left side of the controller to my preferred set up for FPS’s in under 30 sec and that’s with the driver tool being in the case the controller came with. Having the option to set trigger stop depth for each trigger individually is great and they feel good too. As for the main reason I bought this controller the D-Pad feels the greatest one I’ve used personally in years ( including ps3, 360, ps4, Xbox one, and ps5) for TEKKEN and honestly the default face buttons have an excellent feel and responsiveness to them however the fight pad attachment feels the best for fighting games.

The controller feels good and the back buttons are just perfectly placed. The module swap is neat but 2 major things that this controller is missing. 1- Hall Effect sensors. You can now buy them separately. 2- There are no adaptive triggers. If you own a PS5 and play PS5 exclusives, then not having adaptive triggers is like ordering a PB&J and they only give you Jelly lol. Overall, its good because if you are into fighting games then this is great. The build quality is so-so, but I do like you can also swap out the D-Pad

I love this controller, I bought it to replace my PS5 controller and oh man does it replace well, you can change and customize your control to however you want, like the buttons to a fighting pad, switching tbe D-pad and Joystick in any side, as well as changing the sensitivity to your R2 and L2 buttons, you can even also change your joy rings to the octagonal ones for precision, as well as setting up the back buttons to however you want.
