Customers find value in the Wired Fight Pad for Nintendo Wii U due to its budget-friendly price point and its resemblance to the beloved GameCube controller. The compatibility with older Wii consoles is also appreciated. While some users lament the wired connection, most agree that it works well and looks great with its Link-inspired design.

Decent Controller Not The Same as Original

This controller is pretty close to the original for game cube, however is much lighter and connects to the wiimote instead of the console. This does not attach in any way to the wii u game pad, which is disappointing.

I really enjoyed the old Game Cube and it's controller. I was happy to find these for use on the new Wii systems. Still think Nintendo needs to advance their technology a bit but these are pretty cool.

The controller works almost like a Wii Virtual Controller; it plugs into the Wii Remote expansion port, which means you will need to have that controller in close proximity when playing. Also, the controls map a little bit differently when using this controller versus using a Gamecube controller. Overall, it was pretty tight and responsive, but since it mapped differently (and threw off my Smash game), I'm only giving it 4/5 stars.

I have to admit that I am a fan of the Metallic controllers. I also have 3 for my XBOX 360. I don't even worry about finger prints with these. Enjoy them for what they are. Good controller.

This controller lives up to it's five star average. I have had no problems with this controller at all. Works just as well as a wired one!

There isn't much to say other than, it works. My kids wanted to play Splatoons together and this was the cheapest way to get there. Works as advertised.

...But you can use it on a wider variety of games, so I guess this is what we're going to use until Nintendo supports its Super Smash Bros controllers.

This is a great controller for any Zelda fan. Keep in mind that this does need to connect to the wii mote in order to be used. I would recommend it to anyone.

It was a lot lighter than expected. which makes sense because it is just a case of buttons. It is very nice for Smash Bros, and it matches the mario wii mote.

This controller is perfect for playing Super Smash Bros. For anyone who remembers playing until your fingers bled on a Gamecube, this is the same controller. I liked the character colors and designs. I picked this up, though not my first choice, thanks to a sale on them and getting it for around $10. I can't imagine a better deal for having fun playing Super Smash on Wii U.

My kids really like this controller. It does not require any hard to find adapters. It plugs into a wii remote instead of the console which is great.

Through I had already purchased one of these controllers before this, I decided to buy another one due to the fact that they were on clearance at my local Best Buy. While I don't like them quite as much as the Game Cube controllers, they work really well and the character-themed motifs are a huge plus. I would definitely recommend picking one of these up.

Picked up at an amazing price and is great for ZERO button lag. Only downside is it's wired and it could be a bit longer.

The Wii U Fight pads are a solid alternative to the classic controllers and to game cube controllers as they are essentially wireless(they plug into the nun-chuck slot on the wii mote). They feel like a game cube controller and I have had no issues with any of the buttons or analog sticks. The biggest gripe I have is that they are a bit pricey considering they require a wii mote with motion plus to work with the wii-u making it a $20-$30 accessory to an already $40 controller

I bought this as an extra controller for WII U but it turns out I couldn't use it unless I had a nunchuk controller from the regular WII, so i return it and bought a nintendo pro controller, which worked for what I needed.
It looks really nice though, wish this could have been wireless by itself.
