A bit expensive but works as expected - casts a nice colored light of your choosing. Would be nice if it could be brighter (more lumens) and have a physical on/off switch. Especially if I am near it, it feels odd to have to whip out my phone and launch the app just to turn it on or off.

I bought this item first without knowing that it needs a Hub to work so I was kind of disappointed but went and ordered the missing part. It will be good idea to mention the required piece in the item description. I guess it's lovely! Kids love it and the colors and beautiful!

This newest member of the Hue family of lights works well, matching the light tint of the others in the collection. It is bigger than it looks in pictures -- about the size of a soccer ball -- so it takes up a lot of space. It's more of a conversation piece than a practical addition because not only does it cast light on the wall, but the unit itself also subtly glows like a jellyfish. You've got to have the table or floor space for it. (unlike the Bloom light, which is a tad less expensive, casts the same amount of light and has a much smaller footprint). I'm a huge fan of the whole Hue system but i don't think I would buy a 2nd Iris.

I LOVE ALL HUE BULBS AND LAMPS. I JUST DON'T LIKE THE PRICE. I THINK THEY KNOW THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND THAT'S WHY THEY CAN PRICE HIGH. I HOPE MORE COMPETITION SHOWS THAT IT CAN BE ALSO AFFORDABLE. I'M PLEASED AS ALWAYS WITH THE PRODUCT, NOT THE PRICE.

Philips Friends of hue LivingColors Iris Light is definitely a stylish and unique piece of lighting. It's translucent design is something I'm able to move around to any area in my apartment with it blending well. It's my favorite light in the hue series.

I love my Phillips Hue system. I am able to transform my room from normal lighting to movie lighting. The DMX controlling features allows me to set the mood for the occasion. Used for a wedding and made quite the impression!

This Philips Hue light is a great and fun product. We use the light as an accent light and it also adds to our movies and playlist through a couple of apps on our Apple products.

Light is as easy to use as the original Phillips Hue light. It has a great variety of deep colors. Not as full of a color spectrum as the Hue bulbs but very nice addition to own.

I had been hesitant on buying this product because of the price, but i luckily got it on deal of the day. very satisfied, although im not too sure id buy at full price.

Purchased this light when it was on sale for $60. For that money, it is well worth it. The app is a little clunky, however there are apps out there that make this light shine!

I've enjoyed having the Hue system in house for about a month now. This light had complimented the overall system, adding light to the wall behind my television. Pros: portable light fixture, greater range of colors than hue light bulbs Cons: The hue is intended to display on a wall, this naturally dulls some of the colors. Finding the right angle to get maximum coverage and keeping the light balanced on the tiny flat surface can be challenging. Overall I would recommend the product. I hope that in future iterations the base of this light increases in size, the color saturation is deeper, and the angle is tilted slightly more upward.

Have one already, and BB had on sale for 60% off. Couldn't afford NOT to buy it. Use as lighting for when gaming. Love the flexibility of them. Great product.

Is this a must have? Hardly, but it's cool all the same. I have it in my bedroom and helps with relaxing at night before bed.

I love these bulbs! Best thing since sliced bread! I've got 14 in the house and use them everyday. This lamp is a little tippy but its still wonderful.

We wanted to add a base light to our bulbs as we love the colors we can put in our living room. It has been easy to use and it looks very elegant.

I bought this to go with the Hue starter kit and this bulb blows away the 3 bulbs that come in the kit especially in the blue to green range!

Absolutely perfect. Since it lacks a traditional on off switch it never gets accidentally turned off like a traditional bulb does.

The Iris is a great Hue light. It allows you to hide it behind anything or have it out exposed due to the good looking design.

Thus really lites up a sidewall or beam. The App helps you create your design for your living area. Great stuff.

Bought this item on special sale, after seeing it in stores for a long time. Thought I'd try it, and now I'm a believer. The lighting colors are programmable and really brighten my mood! I have a timer that wakes me gently in the morning with a soft sunrise color, and usually cycle through all the colors in the evening just to keep my brain happy ...
