I purchased 2 kits plus a bloom and a nest to start my conversion to home automation. These lights are fantastic as they allow us to set location settings to have the lights come on when we come in at night. As we have a fairly large house this is very helpful as we don't have to walk from room to room in the dark or return truly learned entered to turn the lights off.

This light is a lot smaller than it looks. I use for ambiance and it does a pretty good job. Easy to connect to my smart home system and control with Amazon Alexa. Plugs in to the wall. It's a good accessory.

I bought this light for the inside of my fireplace which used to work. With the HUE technology, I’m able to have this light look like a flame inside my fireplace which is the best part. Also I’ve had this light in the corner used as an up light to light artwork and other furniture pieces during a party. Perfect piece!

I have almost every kind of hue light at this point. They're all pretty amazing and I would suggest anyone interested in home automation to purchase them. We have this light aimed from a table onto a family painting. It makes the painting look great! NOW, we are getting all kinds of comments from visitors and that painting has been there for YEARS. Goes to show what the right lighting can do. This light is best for casting a large beam onto the wall. My major issue is that it can be a bit more challenging to get a pure white light than on the standard bulbs. You will see colors come through on the edge of the light beam. I would still recommend this mainly because you can move it to any room with ease.

For creating a mood with some indirect lighting, the Philips hue Bloom does the job. You have the full range of colors so you can create a complex scene. The downside to this device is that the power supply attaches to the bottom of the bloom body rather than the base making directing the power cord a bit of an annoyance.

The Hue system is not inexpensive, but if you want mood lighting for your room, it does work well. I have the Hue Bloom along with 4 BR30 down lights in my living room and love the control they give me over the lighting and mood of the room.

I love this light. I wish the couple I have were the first purchase. The Blooms splash the colored light up the walls and transform a room. Worth every penny, and very easy to set up.

Very beautiful, no complaints except this is a stand-alone light, I guess there can begin to be a fine line between home-automation and hoarding of home-automation items...Give it ten years and we will start seeing something on A&E.

I bought a bloom as the fifth Hue light in my ever growing collection. I wasn't sure how I was going to use it at first, but settle on having it (and a second one) behind my TV. They sit on the console at screen's edge and broadcast out. It's nice being able to change the color, not just based on mood, but on what I'm watching or game I'm playing. The Bloom definitely needs to be elevated because of the angle of it. It would not properly light up or act as an accent on a wall if it was on the floor. On a coffee table of console, it's perfect. I would say that the only real drawback is that I would not get a Bloom by itself. It needs to be paired up with other Hues.

I have multiple Phillip hue lights. This a great addition to my setup. It's meant as an accent light not a primary light, keep that in mind. Bounce it off the wall to get the full effect. I have multiple ones placed behind my tv's and one behind my pc monitor. So pleasing to the eyes.

Wanted to try a new color bulb and decided to try this light and it is great. Easy set up and installation absolutely awesome. A lot of colors!

Perfect for uplighting corners....eliminates dark zones in a room and provides extra accent lighting that is soft on your eyes. Also, easy to set up and program.
