I've owned several Norelco razors over the last 30 years. The current razor which requires this replacement head has been my favorite by far. I had issues with the original head/blades that came with this razor. I had always intended on writing a letter to Norelco on ways they could improve the performance of it. They must have received letters from other users because this new model incorporates several of the ideas that I would have proposed. The razor gives a very clean shave. This is the second replacement head that I've purchased. The first one lasted a year. I did a test. I let my beard grow out for two days and then used the 1 yr old head on one side and the new one on the other side. Definitely sharper/cleaner shave with the new one. I didn't realize how dull the old one was until I did that comparison. These things are very expensive. I think one way they could reduce the cost is to only sell the three replacement blades like they do on their cheaper models. With this new model, there is no reason to have to buy a new head unit each time. Also, of the 30 years in owning Norelco razors, I have never had one where the plastic cover for the head doesn't break within 2-4 weeks of use. This one lasted 4 weeks. Oh well, I keep my razor in a zipped up razor pouch to keep the heads from getting damaged. I would love to test future Norelco razors for Phillips. I have a fast growing beard and am always looking for ways to reduce my shaving time and improve the quality of shave.

I own the Arcitec shaver which I have been using for several years. I bought these as a replacement of the previous blades. It takes a bit of getting used to because it is a different setup. One big difference is how to clean the blades. With the previous setup, the blades opened up on the head but stayed connected. Here, the blades come off. It requires a bit more time to clean, but I like it better because it cleans more thoroughly that way. Regarding its performance, the shave is closer than the previous version of blades I used. It is the closest shave I have ever had with any blades. I am very impressed. One issue I have is that the edges of the blade heads are thicker, so for difficult areas to reach, I have to really work to get there. It was much easier to reach those areas with the previous heads. The hardest part of this was paying for it. It is quite pricey. I believe I only need to replace the blades next time, not the entire head. I hope so, because I don't want to have to pay this much again.

Contrary to a number of other reviews, I think the replacement blades do the job just fine. I agree, the comfort level is not quite the same as the original blades, but after a few shaves, the comfort and quality of the shave improved.

The replacement head is easy to install and you get the same close, smooth, comfortable shave as the original shave head.

Ordered this before it replaced my shaver head and works perfectly. Shipping was excellent arrived before expected.

Overall the replacement head works well. However, the cost is a little high considering an equivalent NEW razor costs in the $100 range.

I needed to replace the head for my Norelco shaver. It was easy to take the old head off and put the new one on the shaver. It works great and shaves are quicker and smoother.

This is a different head set than what had been originally included. From what I recall it gives just as good a shave as the orignal set did when it was new. This set is easier to pull apart and clean out.

Shave feels good and of shoter duration at first, but blades seem to wear down in a few weeks.

It is the replacement head to the Senso 3D touch shaver. Does it work as expected. The one star off is for the price.

This was chosen as an update to an older Artec razor head as the old ones were not easy to find. The cut and cleaning are far superior andI would highly recommend the upgrade. Phillips now has this listed as the official replacement and in the future you can replace only the blades which is a significant saving.

I baught this shaver head replacement because my old shaver head went dull. Since it is new my shaver is cutting like it is suppose to.

This is my second purchase of these heads, so my review is of my experience with the previous heads I just replaced. I use these for an Arcitec shaver I purchased several years ago. The shaver itself is excellent and still works great even after 8 years of use. These heads are a replacement for the original heads, which Norelco stopped making a few years ago. There are some advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that the blades can be taken apart to clean. The previous heads were in one unit, so they could never be cleaned to the extent these can. The other thing is I believe I can buy just the blades to replace the existing ones instead of buying the whole head unit. That was not an option with the original. However, I could not do that this time as I explain later. There are some challenges. First, the head with this version is larger than the original Arcitec head. It makes putting the shaver unit it the plastic travel case very challenging and is a very snug fit. I also cannot put the plastic cover for the head on as it won't fit if I do that. Not ideal. I also find the construction is not as sturdy as the original head. It has not broken on me, but it is definitely more fragile. So it works, but one knows it is a replacement and not the original. The last thing is that these heads started to squeal loudly after about 8 or so months of use. It was really annoying and there is nothing like shaving in the morning and listening to this sqealing noise rattle my ears. So the option of getting just the replacement blades was out after that happened. It also makes me question the workmanship of these heads. I never had a problem like that with the older heads. Overall the shave for this head is very good and equal to the older heads. But given a choice, I prefer the older heads, even with the inability to remove the blades from the unit. I have seen that the older head is now being made by third party manufacturers, but the reviews I have read on those are mediocre at best, so I opted instead to buy another one of these. If Norelco had gone back to making the older heads, however, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the older version.

Luckily these don't need to be replaced often. This set is a little different from the heads that came with the shaver. It cuts well and is pretty comfortable.

I have had my Norelco shaver for four years and this is the third time that I have replaced the heads. The original heads were hinged so that it was easy to clean the unit. The last three replacement heads have not been hinged and the entire assembly snaps on/off. I much prefer the old design, but other than that I am satisfied with my electric razor and head assembly.

Sharpest shaver head yet. Closet shave I have had in a long time.

Big improvement over OME. Doesn't get as clogged as original.

the original blades fit differently, so I was wary. But using the replacements paid off: these are great blades.

Shaver head was very easy to install. Arrived very quickly.

I bought the Norelco replacement razor heads to make my 2 year old razor new again. I tried a cheaper version online (from China I think) and it would not cut. This one is sharp and cuts great.
