The first three times I used it I was not as impressed as the reviews indicated I'd be but after reading manual and adjusting light intisity down some I was much happier. Now I like it very much. One thing I would change is (and maybe I missed this in manual) , you can only listen to radio when you use sleep (sunset) mode. I would like to have one of the nature sounds. Luckily there is a 24/7 classical station here in Tucson so it's still soothing. I would recommend this item, I do feel better not waking to the jarring noise anymore but I still hit the snooze too much. Guess some things never change.

It really imitates the sunrise to wake you up graduallly and the sunset that helps you fall asleep.

I have only had the light a few weeks, but I already can notice a difference in how I feel when I wake up in the morning. I've always been a night owl and I may not be jumping out of bed like a grandfather in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but I do feel much more awake getting out of bed to start my day.

This will change how you wake up - instead of jolting up to the alarm noise (or even radio), the light starts to glow and increasingly gets brighter until max brightness at your set alarm time. There are a few different audio options as well, all pretty soothing, and the volume slowly fades in as well. Now, I'm not saying you still won't hit snooze 5 times.. but I found myself hitting snooze and peacefully relaxing in bed, instead of passing out again 3 or 4 times. The only disappointments: - limited number of audio alarm options - would be nice to connect to the HUE app (all settings are manual)

The light is very bright and exactly what I was looking for, I don't even bother turning on my bedroom light in the morning because this fills up the entire room. I thought the wake up sounds would be a little stronger so that's why I only gave it 4 stars (maybe my ears are just bad). With everything taken into account it would be hard for me to give this alarm clock up after using it for a few months, love it.

I bought this for my wife, who would exclaim how much she hated waking up every morning and act like a zombie. It wasn't really my cup of tea either, so I thought we could both use this light as an opportunity to start the day off on a better foot. She loves it! I however have developed the habit of hiding under the covers subconsciously, making the wake up light a moot point...

People with sleep problems get pretty desperate for quality rest. That describes me at the time I bought this wake-up light. The amazing thing is...it actually works! This model will display a sunset to gradually prepare you for sleep. Then in the morning it will wake you gently with a natural sunrise. It also has bird and nature songs, as well as a radio. However, the sounds are not quality and frankly annoying. So I use the light function only. I like the clock because it works for the intended purpose, but feel that it is hardly a value.

It was extremely easy to replace my existing therapy light with the Philips Wake-Up Light. Setup was a breeze, the controls are intuitive and it looks great on my bedside table. I was also surprised to find out the sunset simulation feature actually worked (for me). I would definitely recommend this product (or light therapy in general) to anyone that has trouble falling asleep or waking up in the morning.

Well I'm not much of a morning person that wakes easily during hours of darkness. When the sun rises I rise. For that reason, I thought this would be a great solution to help me get going in the morning. I'm still adjusting to it and getting the brightness where it needs to be, but between the soothing sounds and the light itself, I think it's a winner.

This works well as far as the light working as advertised to help wake you up gradually and the overall sound quality is decent for a clock-radio. But I find it very annoying that you must turn the alarm on every day. Controls are not too bad but I'm not too crazy about their menu implimentation

It's very simple powerful alarm clock with wake up lights allows us to wake up easily, we tried different ways but this seems like the best way to wake in the morning. Only thing we thought that light will be extremely bright but it's not that extreme but good enough though.

I was told about this product, and It sounded like a scam, "Lights will drift you off to sleep, and the gentle light will wake you gracefully" Sooooooo I bought it, and I am glad I got "Scammed" because this is the real deal. The sleep I get it second to none. Yes yes yes buy this.

I really like the clock, the light gets very bright and it does make a noticible difference in helping you wake up. Two minor complaints, 1) The button are hard to find on the top edges while in bed 2) there does not seem to be a way to turn off the beeps when setting the alarm (at least that I've found) Overall, I recommend it.

Helps me waking up in the morning. It's really neat how gradually gets brighter and gently wakes me up.

The light dimming feature is a great way to get to sleep and wake up naturally. It mimics the sunset and sun-up, which I find very soothing. Kinetic touch buttons and location of other buttons around the rim of the clock are slightly inconvenient (hence the loss of one star) but that doesn't detract from the great features of the clock.

I had the hardest time waking up in the mornings if the sun wasnt up! I bought this light & honestly it worked amazingly! The first morning I used it I was convinced i woke up late & the sun had risen but it was just the light working its magic! It has definitely made waking up when its still dark out a million times easier. Even on days I have to be up at 2 or 3am, using the light makes a world of a difference. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has issues waking up before the sun!

I almost never sleep until the radio goes off. The light is such a gentle way to warn me that morning is coming and as I roust I can prepare slowly for getting up. It's great. Some reviewers complained about the size, but it takes up no more table top space than our old medium-sized alarm clock. We don't use the artificial sounds, just the radio. The digital tuner works well picking up a station that the previous clock had trouble with. Some reviewers said they had trouble with the sleep mode. The instructions are confusing saying you touch it anywhere, but we found it works reliably if you touch it on the metal ring around the rim.

Controls are not easy to find in the dark. Set up is tedious. Unit is large. But overall works pretty well.

The unit works well overall. My only complaint is the interface to set the time and alarms--somewhat complicated at first.
