So far so good, this model replaced the stock radio in my silver 2014 Nissan Cube. It was just what I needed as far as Bluetooth, CD/DVD and USB capabilities. Being able to change the background and color schemes is a bonus. The EQ controls are good as well. The only con was it doesn’t have track info on CDs but it’s cool because I’m 99% Bluetooth anyways. If you want all that fancy stuff like Apple Car Play and screen mirroring you have to spend more money on higher price models. I’m happy with this model and have already suggested it to others. I also have a black 2014 Nissan Cube and I’m going to put just a Pioneer Bluetooth receiver in it soon. The MixxTraxx probably.

The Good: The interface is really easy to use and looks clean, not too busy and very simplistic. Face panel button color can be changed to match your existing vehicle colors, nice touch, The bluetooth connects immediately and streams perfectly, no hiccups or complaints there. The DVD quality is superb, great vibrant and sharp display. The added remote is great for the kids to use in the back if they want to pause or rewind the movie. The music quality from the unit is SUPERB. I changed my speakers at the same time to Kicker 6.5s and it feels and sounds like my Suv has a subwoofer, I actually dialed it back a little. There is also no white noise or hiss at any volume, I returned a cheaper Jenson head unit before this because of this issue. A conveniently placed "screen off" button on the panel has also been a great feature I didn't know I wanted. I don't always want the person next to me at the stoplight knowing I'm rocking out to Britney Spears. The not so Good: First, my biggest hesitation when purchasing this unit, the glossy finish. To my recollection, no vehicle made has a glossy trim finish on their console. A flat black finish would have blended better, not only with my vehicle, but 99.99% of vehicles on the market. Glossy plastic surfaces are also notorious smudge monsters. Another reason I didn't first try this product was the lack of a volume knob. This turned out to be less of an issue than I thought. The volume buttons are very responsive to what you're trying to do. There is also a thoughtfully placed mute button directly under the volume buttons, this is nice. The home screen is pleasant to look at but I would have liked the ability to add a custom picture, not a deal breaker but really? Overall: I really, really enjoy this headunit. It has made my commutes so much nicer. I was blown away by the sound difference between this Pioneer and my factory JBL bi-amped system, its not even in the same ballpark. I really got a lot of features for 200 bucks.

I’ve always been a fan of Pioneer stereos. This one does everything I need and makes my factory speakers sound better than they are. I was able to do the install myself, and with a little ingenuity and extra adapter, have my steering wheel controls work with it, as well keeping an AUX and USB port on my center console working. The controls are simple, and the options are many. I thought about the better, glass screen, but didn’t think that was worth $150 more. Very happy with this purchase.

Unit has great sound and quality. Clear display just wish it had a CD player.

Had this new radio installed by geek squad on my ‘08 Jeep Patriot. They did an amazing job. This radio is very nice. If you have a rear camera on your car, this radio shows it. It has the radio, of course. It has the Bluetooth option, audio & usb. When a song is playing it displays the name and artist on screen. Also when your phone is connected by Bluetooth, your calls are inserted on the radio. You can make calls, as well as the option to hang up without the need of grabbing your phone. In love!

This unit is awesome,I've tried other units like android and cheap Amazon 50 dollars units....this thing destroys those..it connects fast to my phone,the sound is awesome. I compared it to the jvc in its price range and the jvc got so many negative reviews...but the pioneer got great reviews as expected If you are looking for a head unit......this is the one....go get it don't hesitate

Easy install. This was a replacement for a cheap head unit. Always choose top brands. Easy use interface. Price was good and so was the shipping. Can’t go wrong with Pioneer!

I ordered the Pioneer AVH-221EX online for my daughter. When it arrived and I opened the box there was lint and fingerprints all over the screen. Thai was supposed to be a brand new radio. I did not ask for an open box model. I am really disappointed with the fact that I received an open box unit. I also purchased the 4 year warranty. I am going to return it to Best Buy. I would like a brand new unit.

Purchased this receiver as a replacement for the stock receiver in my 2012 Chevy Impala. Right away I noticed a major improvement in the sound quality and the power it produces in the stock speakers. I really like the 13-band graphic equalizer that lets me tailor the sound spectrum to my personal tastes. I plan to add some new Kenwood speakers to the doors and rear deck in the near future, so I can't wait to hear how much better it will sound with those! The Bluetooth function allowed me to quickly and easily pair it with my Android phone to make and receive phone calls and also listen to my phone's music library. I was not able to play music from my phone on the stock receiver, so I'm very pleased that I now can do that. As far as learning about all the functions and options on the stereo, I have had no problems in navigating and understanding the various menus and options. Just takes a little time setting up things. Not sure how much I will use the DVD function, but it's nice to know I can use it if I ever need to pass some time sitting in the car. Overall, I am very pleased with my new speaker and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve from their stock equipment without having to spend a ton of money.

I trust Pioneer quality and I was not disappointed. For the price you get so much features and future upgrades if needed and very easy to make adjustments. This unit was installed in a 2004 Tahoe and talk about bringing this vehicles audio into the 21st century.

It is exactly what I wanted. The ease and simplicity of operation is amazing. You don't have to stair at it while making adjustments. The audio itself meets my highest expectations. I think it is money well spent

Great double din touch screen! Put in my 2008 WK End it puts out great. Works like it should and has a lot of audio eq customization! It’s a win win with this head unit

The Pioneer-6.2 Android/Phone Bluetooth, Multimedia DVD Receiver Black works really great. Still learning more every day. How to work more features on this program. I have showed my friends and they want to buy it to put it in they cars. I really like the back up camera.

For the money, this is a great radio. It's fast and the Bluetooth works well. Depending on your car( I have an older Sienna) you may lose some steering wheel function. The install staff at Roseville CA Best Buy are top notch. The newer decks have car play allowing you to use the screen for some apps like GPS so there is better out there.
