The connection between its wireless Apple CarPlay and my iPhone 11 is seamless. Songs pick up right where they left off and all CarPlay apps work flawlessly including navigation apps like Waze. Hands free calling and texting work perfect. When wired, YouTube through WebLink works great. The digital radio is superb -you will never go back from digital. The sound for all sources is exceptional. However be careful during set-up. When I first got this unit, it was not as clear as the AVH-3500BHS it replaced. I found it was set to optimize the sound for all 4 occupants and that was muddying up the sound. So I switched that off and it sounds crystal clear. I only have one issue -some faint fan noise (my old unit did not have a fan so I do notice a faint hum when the engine is not running). This does not impact my overall enjoyment with this unit. It is so much better/safer than my old unit because of Apple CarPlay ease of use and the hands free operations and sounds just as good but louder due to the 4V vs 2V RCA preouts. It was a great buy.

This radio is super awesome, it plays apple car and android auto, you have to make sure you have a good android phone ,so its compatible with the unit. Android can be a bit tricky but not much. Josue was an expert and very helpful. This radio has everything you need. It's just beautiful, HD radio, detachable face for security, sirious with art work (you need the tuner separately) bluetooth, I can keep on and on, it was worth it. The installation came free with my geek squad membership . It was worth it every penny, thumbs up for Anthony and the super cool amazing guy with the glasses at the installation site, Best buy workers stands by theirs customers, there was a minor issue with the radio i brought it up to them, they understood and they fixed the problem and I am super thankful for that.

I bought this because I needed a nice screen radio for my Trans Am. I was not aware it had the capability of wireless Carplay and it was a very nice surprise. I've been using Pioneer radios for years and this is probably one of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a radio with tons of options.

It’s a great system that allows for wireless CarPlay, which is exactly what I was going for. Looks great, and didn’t really present with any delays like I’d feared. The sound and call quality in my car was great and the Geek Squad installer did an amazing job.

This receiver is great. The wireless Apple car play works well however it does not connect flawlessly every time. This was definitely worth the money. Couldn’t be happier with the product.

This unit is exactly what I was looking for. I have a Pixel 4XL and just bought a wireless car charger and now with this receiver I am completely wireless in my vehicle. Google assistant works great and is very responsive!

This is by far the best car sound system I’ve ever had. The controls on the steering wheel also work with the new system. The build and sound quality is top shelf. Perfect size for my 2008 Chevy HHR SS

Had everything i was looking for and extras. Wireless Android auto was a biggie for me and my wife. And the the car features was the bonus. Looks awesome in my 2011 4runner limited.

This is an amazing car stereo at a competitive price of $700. Pioneer really does a great job packing this thing with all the good tech features. With the wireless Apple CarPlay. In the wireless mirroring button won’t work with a apple iPhone. And has a removal face plate for security. I would recommend this car stereo. Only downside is would be nice if they integrated the satellite radio unit into the stereo instead of have to buy it separately. And would be nice if they could make the steel frame a little thicker like the factory stereo with better threads and screws that come with the unit.

This radio has turned into a brick just 2 years after purchase. The software is no longer loading. And the radio is out of warranty. There is no explanation, error code, or way of replacing the firmware in the manual.

Pros: big difference in sound compared to the stock radio, using the same speakers. you can connect 2 cameras ( front, back, sides or anywhere you want ). the options to connect a cellphone via bluetooth, wifi or USB for android auto or just to place calls is easy and straightforward and the sdcard and DVD are a plus if ever needed. I didn't get the navigation because I rely on android all the time so I can use the Google maps or waze. cons: the wireless android auto only works with the Google brand phones so if you have another brand your only option is via USB, I don't blame Google but they need to let every single android phone to be wireless compatible, that was the point of the original android phone. 100% free source. not anymore.

I've been using the AVH-W4500NEX for several weeks now and love it. I use Android Auto with my Moto G Stylus phone and the wireless capabilities are great! I like how customizable it is, the sound is great, touch screen responsiveness is good, and it is easy enough to operate with minimal distraction. I also like that the faceplate is removable to prevent theft and comes with a padded case for the faceplate to protect it from damage while disconnected. Also, the Best Buy tech did a great job on the installation. I definitely recommend getting the Geek Squad Protection Plan, the cost is minimal and well worth it since the manufacturer warranty is only one year.

This Pioneer unit is truly amazing. It supports applications from your phone, and you can literally say good buy to those costly navigation head units. This head unit allows you to mirror your Google and/or Waze maps (from your phone) to the head unit. You can play all your music from various applications such as Pandora, etc.. I upgraded from an outdated Pioneer navigation unit because it had no blue tooth technology. this beauty of a radio offers a his brite xisplay and easy to use and don't forget to hook_up that back-up camera . Thank you Pioneer for providing an affordable radio that can accommodate everyones needs at a low cost.

Have always been a fan of Pioneer head units, so when I had to purchase a replacement for my truck I went with this unit. Nice sized screen, easy to use. All the things I needed and wanted (like Bluetooth).

I have to admit, I'm still getting used to Android Auto. It's a great feature, especially wirelessly, and I just need to set it up to my liking. I didn't hook up any external video sources aside from my back up camera, but it's very easy to install. Phone connections via Bluetooth or WiFi are simple and almost immediate. Crossover points on speaker channels are fantastic, and the EQ system is very powerful. Video playback is smooth too. The only complaint has been true of every Pioneer stereo I've used: Radio reception is poor. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I've had Pioneer stereos in my last 4 cars, and each one has worse reception than the stock stereo. I don't really care though... I use my phone and CD's for music.

Easy to use. Great quality. Bluetooth links up with iPhone in seconds. Great sound quality. Unit has more flexibility to add more features. Such as rear camera, xm Sirius radio, amps and more.

As a whole this unit is wonderful! The detachable faceplate is a big bonus when that additional security is wanted for whatever reason! Another big plus is the clarity and vibrancy of the screen both day and night without a bunch of washout. Since having it for a little while now I would say it's fairly user friendly with several great features and customizable options. The only reason I say 4 out of 5 is because of it's lack of color options for the background unless you import your own images. That's next up in my list of tinkering so I will see what I think about that feature then. For now though this is absolutely worth the purchase!
