So far this aftermarket h/u is excellent. Even though it's expensive, the unit performs well. I have yet to use full potential for all my speakers and subs. The multitude of features and overall user interface is very very close to flawless. I've had no problems with the touchscreen. -touchscreen does tilt on several settings (hence the "motorized display" description), when truck turns off, display retracts to original position. -installed in 2005 GMC Canyon, needed harness to utilize factory plugs without cutting or splicing into factory wiring. -buttons on bottom of unit have multitude of color settings and allow to skip songs, tune radio, mute and volume control. -works awesome with your Bluetooth (currently using with iPhone 6s Plus and works flawless) -apple car play works very well too! Overall, great unit with so many functions that all seem to work seamless. I've owned this h/u for two-three months and it is like night and day compared to my factory headunit. If you have the extra cash to purchase, please do, just make sure you do your research for installation and accessories you'll need to get this 100% active within your vehicle. Great unit!

Funny I got it for Android Auto but while I find that a good App it falls short in some areas when compared to HTC Car which I was using on a Pioneer AppRadio3 (another story that). The screen and sound are good and HD radio reception is clear. Now and then it takes a while to make a connection and that is the reason it is not 5 stars. Geek Squad did the install and did it well. I really want to run it with my Sony Xperia Z3v but Verizon (thanks a lot) has yet to release Lollipop which is required for Android Auto. Bottom line - it works fine most of the time and when it doesn't, I do not know wherein is the cause, phone or receiver.

So far it's been great! I hated the factory nav, now just use apple car play for nav. Upgrading the sound has been way easier, after taking out factory radio!

The NEX4100 is a great deck, if you are not a tech savvy you should not get this radio unless you want something that looks good. The reason why I chose this model is because it was affordable and it has plenty of inputs I can use. The app radio is a bit buggy but that has nothing to do with Pioneer, I hope Apple fixes this application so it works without freezing at times.

Pioneer is the best! This is my 3rd pioneer that I've installed. They keep getting better. It does everything you need it to do and more!

Bought this HU to replace the stock HU in an older Buick I bought from a family member. I've owned several aftermarket HUs from Sony, Kenwood, Alpine and JVC but this one tops them all. The screen is very responsive and is easily seen with my polarized sunglasses and in direct sunlight. The sound quality is incredible. I love Carplay and the ability to view the maps while any other function runs in the background. I paired the HU with new Pioneer Components in the front, Pioneer 6x9s in the rear without an amp and Kicker sub in the trunk. I highly recommend this product. Self install was easy. Bought open box from Best Buy. Item in perfect condition.

I was purchasing this as a gift for my wife for her car. After looking at several models and speaking with the associate, we decided on this one. It can connect to either Apple or Android, which is handy since we have different types of phones. The unit fit very nicely into the dash of her vehicle and the installer was very helpful in explaining features. The Apple CarPlay feature is handy and works well for navigation. We also found out that we can add a DVD player screen to the back of the car, which is great when you have a child!!! The sound is clear and, even though it is a sophisticated system, it is not hard to learn. The fact that it has a detachable face is a plus too.

Was exactly what I was looking for. My Jeep Grand Cherokee head unit was getting super dated, and I realized I never really used the built-in NAV/GPS, so I decided to opt for a newer head unit that utilizes Car Play or Android Auto. I've switched between Apple and Android devices, so I like the flexibility of having both available. I currently use an iPhone, and using Apple Car Play was simply plug-and-play. BTW the HD radio is a huge bonus that I wasn't expecting.

I bought this for the Apple CarPlay feature and have been very happy with it. Disappointed that Apple does not have more apps available at the moment. Overall, the sound is excellent and the unit was very easy to install.

Replaced the stock radio is our minivan. It made the stock speakers sound like they had been upgraded. Android Auto is pretty good, but the rest of its features are...awesome. Highly recommend.

Coming straight from a 2014 Pioneer DVD head unit, I am absolutely blown away by this guy. The EQ alone has made the purchase well worth it, having that high of band EQ in this price range is terrific and thats before we get the slope and sweep options within the crossover tuning. If you have a full system or plan to, this head unit will make an outstanding difference. The processor is quick, the customization is awesome, sound potential is fantastic, and being able to have 2 usb ports in my center console so I can run android auto, and have others be able to plug in their iphone and run apple carplay is sweet. I like being able to run android auto, but simply switch to my second usb either ipod or usb and listen or watch whats on there, but when I get a text it automatically pulls android auto back up and pauses whats on my other usb input. Yes there are better, Yes there will be better. Today for this price, I seriously couldn't be happier.

When looking for a new car stereo I wanted to get one that was satellite radio ready, connects to an iPod and I can connect it to my phone (which runs Android OS) when I need to use google maps and have it display on the stereo screen. This stereo met my expectations and beyond. It has great sound quality and the screen is absolutely great. There are several EQ settings as well as 2 customizable settings to get your preferred sound. The screen is very easy to read day or night and the background can be changed as well as the button colors. When using Android Auto (download to phone from google play, OS must be 5.1 and phone needs to be plugged in via USB when using Android Auto), I am able to use Google Maps and have it displayed on the screen with the directions being voiced over the speakers. Bluetooth paired with a cell and installed microphone allows for calls to be made through the stereo. The screen can be adjusted to tilt up or leave it as normal. Unlike other stereos that I have looked at, this one has a removable face plate so I don't have to worry about it no longer working because I couldn't take it out of the car when it gets to hot or cold inside. Can also set up a PIN/Password that needs to be entered as a security feature. The only downside is that so far I have not been able to use my iPod while Android Auto is in use, not even sure if it is possible but even if it isn't I can always play the music on my phone or grab a CD to play. Do not know what the DVD play and video quality is like as I have not tried to play any DVD's on it.

installation was super easy. this sounds so much better than stock radio i had. booting is a bit slow (you get used to it ... noting to complain.. just be aware). with my purchase experiience at best but. i picked up open box first and unfortunalty the returned item has password lock on the unit. best buy worked with me and provided replacement (lost 50$ but very happy with the way best buy handled) thanks.

I am very happy with the increased power and sound quality. I did upgrade the speakers and I am using an interface for the steering wheel control. Sound is great, I like the removable front plate. I have it connected to a Sirus Tuner and I use it with my Android Cell Phone.

The hands free calling is fantastic with clear audio on both ends. Just starting to play with the Android auto, so far it seems pretty straight forward. This unit allows me to have current tech in an older vehicle. I would definitely recomed it. The Best Buy install went very smooth and looks like it was original equipment.

This head unit is great. It does what it should and looks and sounds good while doing it. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is some of the menu options like setting the Auto EQ are a bit cumbersome and difficult to access. It is leaps and bounds better with CarPlay than what I had to deal with on my App Radio 3. Every time you plug your phone into this unit it works whereas with the App Radio 3 it was 50/50.

Very easy to install and setup. Works great with android play and navigation works great better then paying for next step for the integrated navigation and maps.

I was a Kenwood fan my entire life and after buying this receiver I'll never go back. This does everything I was looking for an more. It was a good fit in my 4runner and my wife likes it so much she wanted one for her sequoia. Can't go wrong with this one way better than stock.

I installed this about a month ago and I must say that the expandability of this unit is nice. It has dual USB ports, an SD slot, 4V preouts and CarPlay. Originally I was going to go with the DEH-80PRS audiophile single din, and ended up going this route. Eventually I plan on trying the Pioneer EQ mic to see if it makes a bigger difference over my personal settings. I highly recommend this unit, especially if you can pick it up with a steep discount on an open box buy as I did.

I was looking for a touchscreen care stereo with Apple CarPlay support. This was just what I was looking for. Feature packed and sounds great. The GUI still needs work and do all car interfaces that I have seen.
