I was reluctant to get the PS VR but after many reviews and a little bit of gaming boredom, I decided to make the plunge. This bundle is a fantastic bundle! This is an actual controller. I would highly recommend you get the Geek Protection for 2 years. There are some moving parts and electronics that could potentially go bad. The game is actually a fun shooter. The multiplayer is really fun too. I have met a few good people. Don't have to deal with a giant group of people. It is you and one other person playing against AI. I have almost fallen over a couple times while playing. I was really getting into it. I would recommend getting in the habit of not moving your feet to look or move around the room. It's worth standing up to play it in my opinion but be careful! It is more immersive standing up. More games will accept this controller in the near future. Most notable, Doom VFR is compatible!

Basing my rating on pure fun and experience, it is definitely an excellent thing! So the AIM controller whilst playing feels really good, looking at it and hearing about how it works is a lot more strange than when it's in your grip. Moving is easy, turning is easy, you can even reverse the analogs. The buttons are placed well too and all accessible. In-game (Farpoint) it's very trippy! Even though you hold this pretty ugly and basic looking aim controller, inside the game you're holding different weapons, which actually feels very believable and also mind-blowing. The way the aiming mechanic works feels very good too. At first I was wondering how sights would work and such, with big goggles on your face, but when you actually play it, you'll understand! I think the thing about this and VR in general is that to truly get an idea or understanding, you've gotta experience for yourself. It's really hard to explain I find. Like when I was outside of the VR and also the AIM controller and looking at it, I couldn't fully understand how it worked or what the experience was like. But I'm glad I decided to take the jump! Onto the game itself, it has a space story that reminds me of Interstellar in a way. I think the neatest thing is the whole being there experience the story as if yourself is there, either through the character or just watching it. It's kind of like those movies/shows where someone goes back in time but cannot be seen but they're actually there, that's what it is like. Other times you are the head of the person in the cutscene, which helps make you experience it more personally, than just watching. It's a really neat thing and I can imagine movies and games cutscenes really being neat to live inside like this. The shooting is great and I think they did a good job! Especially since the tech is so young, I cannot wait to enjoy the future! I'll try to hold my tongue now and let you experience it for yourself. Final conclusion: Like shooting? Like FPS but always wanted to be the one shooting with the weapon rather than using a regular controller or keyboard and mouse? Then this is a great thing to try! It's sort of like those arcade guns, except now instead of a flat screen, you're in the screen, able to turn, look around, point and shoot!

Farpoint has to be one of the best PSVR games out there. The story was great and the gameplay was more challenging than I expected after playing other vr games. the future for vr is very bright if games are going to be more like this one. The Aim controller was a great peripheral. It works very well with the game. The only hang up is that the tracking gets to be slightly off after a few minutes. I kept switching weapons and that seemed to fix it. Probably nothing future updates won't fix. I look forward to more games that will use the aim controller.

I purchased this as part of the PS VR experience to try and find out whether it's worth it. It includes the aim controller which feels nice and sturdy (not flimsy) and the game FarPoint. While playing it, I was first impressed with the graphics being in a virtual reality. However, after a while I noticed some issues with my controller drifting to either the left or right (having to constantly calibrate it). Also, there's no real way to "duck" for cover without pressing a button which I think is an oversight and takes away from the experience. Ultimately, the game play got repetitive (run, shoot, run) by the end of the game I just wanted to get it over with. I would recommend to try it but its not for everyone.

I'm a sucker for a good story, and Farpoint has combined a moving and immersive story with exciting gameplay for a short but sweet experience. This game is a demonstration of how your experience of a narrative can change when you're in VR and standing right next to the characters as the story plays out. I've seen more cutscenes than I can count in my gaming life so far, but watching holograms of characters standing, walking, and talking around me as I grew to care about them, their relationships, and their fates was something else. The gameplay itself is lean, but rewarding. The Aim controller is a fun and immersive way to engage with the world, though it can feel a bit limiting to have your virtual hands perpetually glued to a rifle. The shooting feels solid, if a little lacking in oomph, and the creatures are appropriately terrifying when they fly screeching at your face. My biggest complaint by far is that the Aim controller has a tendency to drift slowly to the left or right. Over time this doesn't necessarily impact your aim, as you can still look down the super-cool holographic sight on your virtual gun, but it does impact the immersion as your hands need to be rotated off-axis in order to properly line the shot up. I've heard that illuminating the room with green light helps fix the drift, and I intend to try that tonight. It's kind of a stupid fix though, and not everybody just has a green light bulb hanging around that they can flip on when playing PSVR. For 5-6 hours, Farpoint is like a one-man/woman Starship Troopers with a much better, fascinatingly immersive plot. It's well worth experiencing if you have the opportunity, and I haven't even tried the co-op challenges. The Aim controller's drift issue is the biggest caveat, and unfortunately I can't say how badly that will affect you.

I was a little skeptical at first with the whole VR game system but my son asked for it for Xmas so I got him this game and gun combo and he loves this game. So I had to try it out to get a better idea of what he was going crazy over. This game is tons of fun and anyone looking to start their vr experience needs to try this game. Lots of fun!

The fact that this is a controller on its own is nice I thought it was over priced add on to the move controller so it was a nice surprise. Kids really enjoy holding an actual gun for gaming it makes vr experience more real. Great deal for package a 50$ game and 70$ controller got 79.99 makes a great addition to my VR. setup.

I read some great reviews on this game and the PS4 aim controller so I had some pretty high expectations... but I was not disappointed at all. Game play is a little tricky to get the hang of with moving and turning around at first (especially if you're prone to motion sickness) but as far as VR games go... def top tier.

I was skeptical at first on this game. I finally ended up buying it recently and it's become one of my favorite VR games on the PS4 currently. If you're looking to get this game, the bundle is definitely the way to go as the aim controller is a must try. It's very accurate and adds a ton of fun to the experience.

Farpoint is probably the best vr title for psvr. It very much reminds me of starship troopers.a really good bug hunt. While you can play the game with the regular controller, the aim controller really makes the game shine! Honestly the aim controller feels like you are holding a real assault rifle and aiming is spot on accuracy. You can even sight down the scope for a pinpoint shot...in vr that's incredible. Player movement is smooth and fluid whichever direction you go except of course you can't turn around to see where you are going backwards...no tracking for the camera is on the back of the headset, but someday soon you will be able to do that I guess. This is a must buy for psvr owners!

THE AIM CONTROLLER I was very curious how the Aim controller worked, especially after seeing Far Point being a game where you actually move and not "warp" to get around. The way I see this peripheral is like merging the PS3 Move and Move Navigation Controller into one. The placement of the buttons (S, T, O, X)are located behind the controller, surrounding the rear joystick. They were easily accessible even while in the midst of an intense firefight. The front joystick is placed up front near the handles where your L1 and L2 buttons are lined up to act as secondary triggers. Overall, the button layout are placed nicely on the controller. The battery life on it is about as good as the PS4 controller and I think lasts longer than the PS3 Move(s), but don't quote me on that because I've had the Move set since it first came out. I was not so comfortable with the R1 and R2 buttons though, they may be rarely used depending on the game you are playing. Nonetheless, they can feel a bit awkward at first along with memorizing the digital pad location and then going back to your analog stick on the front handle. Overall, I like the controller and would rather play with this over the PS4 controller and Move controllers when it comes to VR FPS. The Aim really immerses you into holding your sniper rifle, cannon, railgun... whatever you are shooting! If there is a VR game is compatible with it, use it! FAR POINT Bundled together, I was excited to try this out (along with the Aim Controller) to see how the gameplay is. I was not disappointed really! Gameplay-wise, it was great. The button layout on moving around in the game really made me feel like I was walking. On my first try, I almost felt like I was going to fall over because it was my first VR game to actually WALK and not warp so that was a fun & funny experience. What I also liked about the controls was that I can motion the Aim upwards to switch weapons, which came in handy while in the midst of a intense swarm of bugs coming at me. To answer one of the important questions people may ask, no- the game does not give motion sickness, but I can only speak for myself on that part. My "bootcamp" VR adaptation came from playing EVE: Valkyrie, but I digress. The game has a good length of gameplay as well. I am not much of a "speed through" player, but one who likes to explore everything. To me, it is not a short nor lengthy game and the challenge mode gives it a nice replay value even if you're at the end game. Overall, this is a good FPS to pick up and try out your Aim controller on this game. Far Point has potential to provide more in game content if they were to ever make a sequel along with a deep storyline to boot.

I have owned the FarPoint bundle for a month. The gun is a full Sony controller. It is accurate and easy to use, definitely makes the game more enjoyable. The gun is supposed to be compatible with other future games. The gun is an awesome piece of equipment. I highly recommend it

Aim controller is a great, feels good and enables accurate shots, only tried it so far in Farpoint, but impressed with it and the game so far. Very atmospheric and the motion in VR does not affect me much with this game (unlike DriverVR, where I could not manage a lap)

I have had the PSVR for a while now. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Farpoint but mainly the Aim Controller. The game has been very good, graphics are superb(for VR) and the story is ok. I have a huge phobia of Spiders and I have fared well during the story. The big takeaway is that this is what VR needed. Holding a gun in your hands and seeing it in VR is amazing. It's definitely a true immersion feeling. It even has settings to control movement so you can avoid motion sickness effect. Great purchase and looking forward for more FPS adopting the Aim.

I bought two bundles. One for me and one for my little brother. The game is two player co-op (after you beat a certain part of the campaign), and is extremely fun. Using the unique controller that comes with the game is really the best way to play. You can play without it, but it's really not the same once you first get immersed into the game using the special controller. Super great. Super fun. ONLY DOWNSIDE: The game is kinda scary when the bad guys are up in your face.

This game would not hold up as a traditional game, it is built for vr so enemies are mostly infront of you and you progress by basicly moving forward. While that design would be unacceptable on a tv screen, it helps reduce the chance of motion sickness and the novelty of vr makes it fun. I also like the feel of the gun while in vr,
