I love this HeartRate Monitor because it is very easy to use and it gives accurate information about your workouts! It can tell you how long you burned fat from your workout in addition to how many calories you burned! It also syncs automatically with most cardio equipment to put your reading right on screen to give you accurate tracking of your cardio session.

    Perfect for Non Walking Workouts

This product is perfect to wear during my workouts the chest strap is comfortable and easy to adjust. Set up was super simple. You just enter your weight, height and age. Using your heart rate to calculate calories burned and letting you how many minutes you were in the fat burning zone. This is helpful when managing the intensity of your workouts. Love that it tracks workouts that are non walking related. The price is so reasonable compared to the products that take your HR through your wrist. And from the research I did the chest strap is much for accurate. Very happy with my purchase.

I wanted a Polar because I've heard they are one of the most accurate heart rate monitors. I wanted something simple just to use for working out since I already have a Fitbit Charge HR to count my steps, monitor sleep, etc. This model is easy to use. The watch and chest strap are comfortable. I like that it's waterproof. I also like that it keeps a log of your workouts. I would say the cons are: 1. You have to wear the chest strap to get your heart rate. The watch will not detect your heart rate without the chest strap on., 2. The chest strap monitor sometimes moves/stops while I'm running and needs to be readjusted so the watch will start again.

I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollar for a fitness heart rate monitor. I spent about 1/2 hour in the store reading the back of boxes. This had exactly with I needed & price was within my budget. Works like a charm.

Does what it says! Water resistant so it's good for swimming and daily use. Heart rate monitor started out working fine at the beginning but the last two times it's been off a bit. It's effective for what I use it for but next time I'm going for the Bluetooth H7 Smart Heart Rate Sensor so that it syncs with the Polar app on my smartphone.

I did a lot of research before making my purchase. A ton of people recommend the fit bit but that is nothing more than a very over priced pedometer. I wanted something that accurately kept up with calories burned during my workouts. This utilizes a heart rate monitor worn on your chest for the utmost accuracy (your wrist is NOT as accurate) and the monitor is very comfortable, waterproof, and doesn't move. I was a little concerned it would be visible under my clothing but it is not. This particular model stores up to 99 events logged.

I like it works really well helps to keep me on track and works as a reminder to be be more active by showing calories burned however i took off one star because it has a band that goes around your choice in addition to the watch which can be uncomfortable at times i wish it was just the watch but still a great fitness tool

This is my second Polar Watch. I still have my original Polar but it was starting to look a little worn as I would wear it when working outside sometimes. This watch is easy to set-up and use. After a work out, you can review your stats....average and high heart rate, calories burned, time in the Fitness Zone and time in the Fat Burn Zone. The one function shows your heart rate and below in a smaller number, the heart rate number you need to achieve to move from the Fat Burn zone to the Fitness zone. I have noticed that is a different number on some workouts. It has been dropping so I am assuming that my heart is getting stronger, which is what I want. Today the heart rate number was 105 beats. It is based on your age and weight. Being over 65.,,,my number would be a lot lower than a 30 year old male. When I start my work-out which now consists of walking and jogging, I push my self to get the heart rate up to the Fitness Zone number. I have the black and grey model which is very nice looking, too so if you wanted to wear out after the workout for a period of time, you won't have to worry about it not looking right in style.

Old Faithful Never Lets Me Down!!!

I bought this Polar (I am a woman) because I wanted it in black. This is my second Polar, and my first, the FT4 lasted for over 3 years. There is nothing on this earth more accurate than a Polar Heart Rate Monitor with a chest strap. I spent hours and days researching the newer technology and tried both the iPhone and a Garmin to be let down immensely with both and then returning them to go back to the Polar. I loved the idea of finally getting rid of the sweaty chest-strap, but NOTHING is more accurate than the Polar F7 or other models, NOTHING! I am a fitness enthusiast and accuracy and precision are VERY, VERY important to me. I love everything about the Polar F7, and honestly, after returning both of the other products mentioned above, it was back to good old faithful, the Polar F7, because I knew I 1,000% could rely on its accuracy and precision of tracking my workouts. Unfortunately, the technology is just not there yet for other wrist-based heart rate monitors. There is nothing more accurate than a Polar, distance wise, calories burned wise, or fitness test wise. It stores all of your data, and typically the only time it needs anything is a quick battery change. I know they recommend doing it an authorized retailer, but I usually google the battery type, buy it at Walmart and then change it myself. I have never had any problems. My dream of all dreams would be for Polar to come out with the technology to track one's heart rate as accurately as with a chest strap, but on the wrist, but we are just simply not there yet. However, in the interim, I am more than happy with the abundant accuracy of this product, it has never let me down! Thank you Polar!

I originally purchased a Fitbit but I found that it did not do track calories and heart rate the way I desired. A friend told me about Polar watches and I decided to purchase it. I love it! Its easy to use and extremely accurate. The heart rate monitor strap is easily adjustable and extremely comfortable to wear while working out!

I wanted a heart rate monitor that would last more than a few weeks. I have tried most wrist only touch with a finger type and have been disappointed with them all. This one with a chest strap works great. No discomfort when exercising. I only needed heart rate and time but this watch also gives calories burned and time in aerobic or fat burning mode. Easy to use and it has big numbers in heart rate display mode. I didn't need GPS since I run a target time regardless of the distance covered. Great product.

If you know anyone into fitness, this would be a great gift if they don't already own one. This is a great heart rate monitor. Light on your wrist, and accurate. Know that this comes with a chest strap and heart rate sensor (the watch does not have a sensor so know this before you buy). I see why everyone truly into fitness has a Polar monitor. These things are great.

My wife wanted a simple HR monitor and after trying a fitness tracker, found that she much prefers the simplicity and ease of use in this Polar Monitor. Additionally new HR Monitors can be purchased to work with the watch or Smart Phone. We may keep building on this system.

Good basic HR monitor, NOT water proof

I bought the pink version of this model earlier and found that it is absolutely not water proof as claimed. It stopped working immediately when I tried to use it for water aerobics. I turned that one in and got this. A little hard to get the settings going - the instructions leave out simple steps that a techie would know, but I did not. My husband set it for me. I have compared HR with that I set on an recumbent bike at the Y and I get the same results. You have to remember to wet the strap each time you want to use it. Strap is comfortable and not annoying. This is a basic model. Will not easily sync with computer ( I am not sure that it can) and certainly not with a smart phone. I record my results each time manually. Will not measure steps or sleep or anything fancier that higher end models will. For a basic HR monitor it is a good buy, but if you want more functions go up a notch or two.

It's accurate, responds quickly to heart rate change, displays are easy to read and operate. I have found it helpful in tailoring my exercise program. It also syncs with the fitness center treadmill for remote read out. The only thing I would have liked to see is having the heart rate and the time displayed together.

I wanted to get a HRM to see how many calories I was burning during my morning workouts (P90X3 and then Insanity Max 30). The watch always syncs with the chest strap with no issues, and seems to give accurate results based on the duration and intensity of each workout. The chest strap can be annoying and uncomfortable at times, but I knew that going in so I can't knock the product for that. The watch interface feels a little dated but all the information you could want is there. It gives you weekly averages, daily summaries, duration of activity in both fat burning and aerobic heart rate zones, etc. It would be cool if it could sync via bluetooth to a phone app, but downloading any data requires a separate cable and I didn't feel the added cost was worth it. Overall, it's a solid heart rate monitor and does everything it advertises well.

I bought this watch on my new found road to fitness and I have to say it's helped a lot. Now I want to go out and be a little bit more active just to see how much calories I will burn or if my fitness is improving. Found out that the machines at the gym are very incorrect (100-300 calories higher). Though I am female, I bought the men's watch because I do not like the colors offered for women.

This fitness watch is so easy to use, easy to set up, and tracks data for heart rate, calorie burn, cardio and fitness level time in zone, time of workout. It saves them and I can go back and reference previous workouts. I only wish the light stayed on longer and that it had the walking/stair and step mileage trackers like loop and fitbit. You do have to use the heartrate monitor with it, otherwise it is just a watch and stopwatch. In addition to cardio, I use it to track calories burned and heartrate during weightlifting. I've had only a little more than a month, but would not want to workout without it!

I am really enjoying my Polar F7 Activity Tracker. It tracks my calories burned, activity level, and heart rate. I had to get use to the menus and how to find the information. I thinks it is a good investment.
