I am a runner use this to monitor my heart rate for training purposes. The product is very accurate with no pairing problems. I use it with the Runkeeper app which is much better than the Polar app.

I have used polar heart rate monitors for 6 years and always been happy with them. My husband bought me this heart rate monitor and Bluetooth earbuds so I wouldn't have straps and wires all over me at the gym, which is very convenient. The only downfall to the heart rate monitor is the polar beat iPhone app (which is free). It is very bare bones, but still gives the essential Information: heart rate, duration of workout, calories burned, etc. the same sort of thing you would find on the wristband type of heart relate monitor like the F6 or FT7.

I love it so far! I think it's easy to use. It is lightweight and not noticeable when you are wearing it. It easily transmits to an app on your iphone which eliminates another watch to wear.

Great HRM to use with smartphone

I bought this HRM to use with my iphone since the polar beat app is free and it also works with numerous others plus it would work with gym equipment.
Overall it is a great HRM. The chest strap fits nicely and is comfortable, and its really easy to put on, no different than other HRMs.
It worked with both my nordictrack c900 and Schwinn excercise bike at home with no effort, it just worked. You can use it simultaneously with the iPhone and the excercise equipment.
The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it will not sync with the polar beat iphone app. I am guessing it is more of an issue with the app they need to fix. But as long as I take the monitor off while the app is still open, and open the app before I put te HRM on I haven't had a problem with it syncing.

I have been using this for jogging along with my iPhone and apps, also at the gym. I have had no problems to date. Connects well and stays connected. The Polar app is not suggested as there are better out there.

Very comfortable HRM. I really don't even feel it on. I wear it under my sports bra so maybe that helps. It's super easy to use with my Polar Loop and it of course gets picked up by cardio machines at my health club. Interestingly though, sometimes the treadmill will have a different heart rate than what my Loop reflects. That annoys me a little as I have OCD about things like that. Once I had to take the battery out and reset it because it was not being picked up by my Loop. Other than that, very happy with it!

With my Pebble "smart watch" in the mail, I wanted a nice heart rate monitor that I could use with it. Sadly, this one isn't that just yet (I'm confident it will be, though). Luckily, with the help of the official app as well as various 3rd party apps and my iPhone 5, this monitor is helping me keep a nice record of most of my workouts with graphs and all that fancy stuff to help analyze and learn from each workout. It's easy to tell which set you didn't push yourself hard enough on by the obvious dip in the timeline. If you don't want a HRM that's feathered to a watch, this is definitely the way to go. Happy with my purchase and I look forward to updates in the future that will connect it to my Pebble.

I have the Polar FT70 and still use the watch for at a glance HR (too hard to see on the app that's in an armband) and all works seamlessly. I'm 5-3 and 125 pounds, the band fit s me and my husband is 6' 230 pound and the same size band fits him as well. Syncs with my Polar Beat on my Iphone 5s and his is a little sketchy on a Samsung Note III. Had to work a couple days on getting to sync, moving and testing batteries but now mine works EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I've switched from a Polar RS800 (watch) basically because I always had my iPhone with me anyhow; so why not have the HR monitor integrated. Sure, there is some extra draw on the battery with the bluetooth, but at least for what I'm doing...an hour of running, and listening to tunes / tracking position with GPS (I use Runmeter - another great app); I only drop ~15% on a 4S.
I've had the H7 for two months, using it six days a week, and have not changed the battery yet...

I purchased this monitor to use with the Polar Loop activity tracker for a more accurate tracking of both my cardio (Eliptical ) as well as my weight lifting workouts. It works great and provides very accurate monitoring which provides a lot of info to evaluate the quality of my workouts. It not only works with my Loop but it will also pair with many hotel Eliptical/treadmill machines that I use when traveling.
