Would give it 5 stars, but it has some issue's keeping up. Any stationary equipment is some what useless with this, unless your on a treadmill jogging. If you are lifting weights forget about it, the ticker wont even budge. Works well with other exercises though, (softball, swimming, etc.). Overall I still think its the best bracelet on the market hands down. It's the only one that's waterproof, so you nevere have to take it off (except charging) and has a compatible heart rate monitor (sold separately). I'm happy with my purchase, hope it last for a long time.

Great device but having to cut it

The device has great potential it provides great information and can utilize a heart rate monitor. It would be great if it had a wrist based Heart Rate with the option for the around the chest device. Either way loved the device I am a little concerned about having to cut the device to fit my wrist.

Things I don't like: I have to charge it every 3-4 days. I have to connect it to a computer or laptop to sync. If i wear it in the shower I have to scrub my band unless I want soap scum building up on it. Things I like: Its purple. I can see the time. The activity tracker.

A Definite Improvement from Previous Version

The battery life is far better than my version 1 loop plus the read-out is very crisp and legible in bright light. Checking against the gym's pedometer, it appears to be spot-on in terms of accuracy. The only downside I've heard from friends is that the device wears like a bracelet (which I personally prefer).

    Great Activity Monitor

I have in the past used the Fitbit and the Jawbone activity monitors. After a year the Fitbit would no longer charge. After a year the band on the Jawbone got so soft that when I plugged it into my phone to sync my activity the plug went inside the band and was difficult to connect. I went without an activity monitor for a couple of months. My husband suggested we go buy me another. This time I chose the Polar. I love the Bluetooth connectivity and it automatically syncs to my iPhone every couple of hours. I purchased the Polar H7 Heart Monitor to use in conjunction to track training levels and percent of Fit to Fat Burn. I like the sleep tracker as well. My only complaint is short battery life, but then again that is to be expected since it is constantly running, especially with the heart rate monitor. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. Best monitor I have used.

I brought this watch because it was Waterproof and I love swimming and also it does not require you to wear a heart rate monitor to track your exercise like some other Polar Watches. However the only issue is the band is not very flexible...

The Polar Loop tracks the type, intensity & number of steps, tracks the length & quality of sleep or sleep patterns, estimates based on steps kilocalories burned & its a watch with a backlight. The watch type band is good for males but bulky for a female. Great app features. Compares daily & weekly activity. Trophies given for meeting goals. Goals set by app based on your profile input.

This is perfect for me, easy, no fuse, simple calculations and goals. I was looking for a simple device that is goal based, tells me what I have, what I need and what it takes to reach my goal. I was not looking for a heart monitor, sleep tracker, or a fashion statement. All I wanted was a practical device to remind me to keep moving and keep me aware of a daily target. I have recommended this to five other people and they are very pleased as well. They tried many if the other products out there and spoke highly of all the features. The bottom line is after two weeks they realized they are not pro athletes but just a desk jockey and no longer seemed interested in all the extra data and features. Also, my Polar Loop has out lived the other models. I'm on my third year with my Loop. I'm getting this one for my wife. She had one before, but like others wanted fancy and more features. Reality struck and now is wiser with the Loop.

The Polar Loop does exactly what it says it will do. I gave it 3 stars Bc the battery doesn't last as long as advertised and the "inactivity alerts" don't actually alert you. The only time you find out about them is when you sync the band with your phone or computer. Overall for the price this is probably one of the better trackers.

Good for walking and jogging, but has it's limits

I bought this for my wife for Mother's Day. She's been on a health kick, it was on sale, and I had rewards to use. The big advantage this item has over the similarly priced FitBit is that it has an LED screen built in. So, if you give up on the activity tracking at least you'll end up with a watch out of the deal. It seems to count steps on the high end and is best used for walking, running/jogging, and sleep monitoring. Unfortunately, it does not register activities such as bike riding or yoga as an activity and therefore does not count it towards your daily goal. She does not own the optional heart monitor, so I can't say whether or not this would improve with the added accessory. Overall it seems like a good purchase and suits the main goal which was to have a sync-able pedometer with a fair amount of reliability.

I love the device cause it doesn't have to be tight to the wrist. It has an optional heart monitor and battery life is great considering I wear it 24/7. Wish it had a normal Micro-USB charger for the device it requires a special charger.

It is a great activity tracker. I strongly recommend this product to anyone considering a FitBit or a similar product. The only cons I found is that the battery only lasts 3 days and in my case the bracelet hasn't tracked my activity when I ride my bike. Everything else is great!

Bought this for my husband when his Fitbit broke- again. He likes it because he can swim with it. Seems a bit bulky to me. You have to cut off part of the band to size it, and that was a little nerve-wracking. I was afraid we would cut off too much, so it took a while to get it to the correct fit. My husband's only complaint is it has to be recharged too often.

Very Accurate when coupled with the H7 heart Rate Monitor. I wouldn't purchase it otherwise as there is a huge difference in calories burned. The web based polar flow app provides a way to track and add specific goals to attain and share with others if desired.

I got this for my wife and she loves it. She an avid exerciser and wants to see her activity level when running, biking, etc. When running, the Polar Loop is great because it tracks her steps and heartrate. When bike riding, not so great because her iPhone 4 won't talk to the Loop so it thinks her heart rate is high for no reason. When she upgrades her phone it'll be great.

With a little homework on your part, plus the heart rate monitor - this product is all it's cracked up to be and more. My friends that have other products are already envious of me and what this thing does compared to others. The app for your phone (iPhone for me) is stunning and easy to use. Best money I've spent in awhile!
