The learning curve is going to be expensive, but I still love my first photo...

This camera is not a run and gun shooter. It shines in manual mode but for those times when you want to throw it in auto you need to learn the camera and how to use the exposure comp in different lighting. When in auto you’ll need the exposure anywhere from -1/3 to -2/3 the camera likes to over expose. After getting to know the camera I’m getting the best Polaroid photos I’ve taken. My biggest complaint is the flash is very weak, you have to get really close and you usually lose all detail in the shadow. If this camera is for you, you already know it is. This isn’t what you get your 13 year kid as a first camera.

It’s easy to use, the app works very well, and it’s just a quality build. The battery can be a bit weird sometimes. It will say it’s almost dead then suddenly it’s at a full charge. It’s only happened a few times so I’m not too worried about it. Overall a good product.

I held off on buying one of these for a long while because of all the reviews talking about inconsistent exposures.. But as soon as I heard there was a software update that addressed those issues, I gave it a shot – and I’m so glad I did! Could see just how sharp and accurate the lens on the I-2 was from just my first shot.. So excited every time I get this camera out to shoot!

I bought this camera on October 2023, took so many beautiful photos of my dog and family. Almost a week ago, it died. I know that it has a 1 year warranty on parts and service. The problem with this camera as I was told is internal. The battery lost its juice and does not even charge. Five months, more than $500 later gone to waste. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase BestBuy’s protection plan and was told to call the Manufacturer instead which I did. I was told by the manufacturer that Bestbuy have an agreement with them and will help me with the return and repair. I didn’t get the help I need and the lady supervisor was very rude. Now I am at a loss of what to do next. But I learned one thing, if you don’t buy the store’s protection plan, you won’t get any help from them. So guys, just buy their protection plan or purchase products somewhere else who have better customer service. I’m a BESTBUY customer for years.

For what this is, a full manual instant photography monster its perfect for pros and enthusiasts. I have had this for a few weeks and im in love with it. I would recommend an external light meter, external speed light, and keeping up maintenance with the rollers

Really good looking camera but as a photographer I thought I would be able to get a big difference between the cheaper Polaroid and this one. And that wasn’t the case. The problem is more of the film, that doesn’t use the chemistry as the ones on the 90’s and I think that’s the main issue. Is a really delicate camera but not big difference between the cheaper one and this one. Yeah you can use it on manual, but shutter speed doesn’t go over 250, and aperture is 8, equal to 2.8/3.0 to modern cameras but still not a huge difference on quality.

Excellent and worth it over the other Polaroid cameras because of the amazing autofocus, manual controls, and the filter thread for 3rd party filters if you wanted that option. Hopefully it is durable long term, it feels like it should.
