okay product but EXTREMELY difficult to setup

saying that it is easy to turn the polaroid pop into a printer for your phone is literally the most wrong description of this product. I have been trying to connect my phone to the camera through the polaroid pop app for almost 5 hours. Even loading the paper took me so long because I thought you had to push the paper in all the way and for the longest time the camera kept reading that it was out of paper. LUCKILY I stumbled upon a discussion that states you have to put the paper ALMOST all the way in for it to be sensed by the camera. There is not one thing in the "user manual" that even talks about that. who would've known that automatically? The camera comes with something they call a "user manual" in reality all it is, is a quick start up guide that is very, very vague. It gives you no information on connecting the camera to your phone through wifi and the app which is probably the most complicated aspect of this camera. I tried calling their 1800 technical support number and it is closed until January 2, what type of 1800 isn't 24/7/365? especially when Im sure they would be the busiest since so many people probably bought this product for Christmas. For the $200 it would probably be in your best interest to just buy a portable printer and a cheap grade instant camera. Also if you're someone who googles for answers, good luck trying to find any answer on how to set this thing up. They're non existant. I did get ahold of the geek squad but the had to apologize because there was not one suggestion they could give me to help except wait until the polaroid tech support opens on jan 2. I really hope this saves atleast one person from the utter frustration that this instant camera is.

    Flawed introduction

Really wanted this for Christmas...and received it...unfortunately I only enjoyed it for one day!. Printed one picture, the color was very poor but I thought it might have been a calibration print. It was almost out of power out of the box so I put it on to charge. I could not charge it past 50%, turned it on today it froze up after I took a picture, shut itself off and won't turn back on!!! Based on other reviews on this site, this seems to be a repeating flaw. SAVE YOUR MONEY! I plan to return mine tomorrow and try out a Fuji, it has better ratings

    What a waste!

So I did research and found mixed reviews for the Polaroid Pop camera. I liked the idea of the bigger size vs the Fuji Instax. I opened the box and set it up. First problem is the app. The camera just won’t connect so I can use it as a printer. I liked the idea that I can use it as a printer and print pics on my phone, but unless I can connect the camera to phone, that’s not happening. Now on to the prints. OMG they are horrible! I took a couple of shots and like that it won’t print every picture I take, but I do want it to print the ones I want. I tried 3 times to print one picture. The camera starts making noise as if it’s printing and nothing comes out. I try again and like an idiot, I’m looking at the slot to see if something comes out. Again, nothing! Third time was the charm and it was horrible. It was a simple picture of my Christmas tree. If this is truly a 20mp camera, I just don’t see it. My phone takes better pictures. I was really excited about this camera until I used it. One star is generous, in my opinion. I really wanted to like this camera and have fun with it.

    Fun Camera

Good camera if you are looking for a point and shoot option that instantly prints. I would purchase additional packets of printing paper, as you get used to it you can really burn through the initial pack. It is not hard to begin using once the paper pack is inserted, there are really useful quick hints that support every feature. The camera allows for traditional photographs, GiFs and Video which I was surprised as the quality is pretty good and the audio as well, considering there is no visible microphone on the camera body. I plan on using this camera for the family photo album, as the iconic Polaroid pictures work well pined up on the wall and posted in a booklet. All in all I rate this camera pretty highly as it does everything an instant print camera should very well. I have seen the smaller printers and really like the size of these prints. Others are fun but it is nice having a pocket size print.

Polaroid's POP is an Instant Classic

I took this out at a friend's birthday party and it was a big hit. So far I'm really liking my purchase. I love being able to print classic Polaroid style images. There is also a cool edit feature that lets you choose different filters, frames, stickers and even draw if you want. I definitely suggest getting more paper, since once you start printing you're gonna want to print more, especially because you can connect your smart phone and print photos directly from you phone as well. I'm an adult and loving the camera's features but I can only imagine how fun this camera is for kids. There is something cool about the simplicity of a point and shoot and the vintage quality of being able to print that image instantly to give to friends or put on display. In a world where everything has gone digital I really like the classic feel the Pop Camera gives me.

I cannot believe the positive reviews

I was so excited to get this camera. I loved the fact that it was digital so you got to review the film before you printed it and the quality stated it was 20 megapixels! What else could you want out of an instant film camera right? Wrong! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The quality of the prints were so bad compared to my $99 Fujifilm Camera. It was so bad I thought I bought a defective one. I actually went back to BestBuy exchanged it for another brand new one and the quality was still complete ****. It shocks me that this product has ONLY positive reviews. It makes me think there false. I hope this review helps someone not endure what I just went through.

Just the perfect camera! It is definitely worth having as an adventurer who loves documenting vacations and road trips for Instagram. I would have to say a good Polaroid picture definitely brings in the “likes”. It even allows you to send photos to social media through the Pop app. Social media aside, I love the easy point and shoot ability and faster turnover time from one picture printed to being able to take another. This is essentiall when on road trips where fast paced action can’t be stopped for the perfect photo. The Pop is ready for the spontaneity of life.

I had high hopes with this product since CES 2017. I finally got it yesterday, and Im very disappointed. The camera cant turn off properly, always needs to restart, I tried to print a photo it came out blank, tried to print more photos, nothing has worked. I'll probably need to return this item to the store.

Very cool camera. I love the instant prints. I get to print right away. The pics come out a bit slower than I would like, but quality is awesome and the border makes it pretty cool looking. Going to use this for portrait shots. The interface is very easy to navigate. I like the menus, but the default buttons seem sufficient so have not had a need to go deep into menus yet. Very stylish. I think you can write on the pictures – I never carry a pen, so this is pretty neat.

Jeopardizing my Son's belief in Santa!!!.

This was my Sons big gift this Christmas (I am a single Father of low income). Needless to say I had tremendous hopes for this camera. Now I have to explain to him that Santa can't give him the same camera with all the cool features. The first attempt- The camera was taking horrible quality pics (20 MP???) so I started out with a bad taste for it. The camera shut off and wouldnt turn back on. AT ALL. Second attempt-still having high hopes-and trying to maintain my Sons newfound hopes- thought maybe the first was flawed. 2nd camera has same horrible quality and has froze after a few test pics. Wont turn on/off. Hope this saves someone the same tough situation my Son and I are in. All the 5 stars are B/S. All reviews are 5 or 1 for a reason!!

Love, Love, Love, this Pop! Very simple and elegant. Don’t expect it to replace your dslr but it is great for spontaneous gatherings and impromptu fun. I plan to use it for a wedding and I will probably purchase a few extra packets of printing paper for the occasion. The quality is just fine for instant printing and I can see it as a perfect way to record memories on the go and for social media purposes. Definitely recommend the Pop!

Interesting camera not sure if it will be like the One Step as it has a touch screen and is a bit more tech compatible but it’s a nice solid size camera and it comes in fun colors.

Bought this as a HUGE Polaroid fan. Shocked at how good the camera quality is, ecstatic over the picture quality. This is literally Polaroid 2.0!!! They integrated everything from the 21 century that was possible. Added way better cameras and sensors and upgraded the FILM into ZINK paper. This camera is freaking amazing!!!

Garbage. Works for one picture. Turned off for less than 24 hours, now it won't turn back on. For 200$ you would think it would be a little better quality. It's not. Do not waste your time with this crap, buy a Fuji. It might actually work.

Horrible Product, worked for less than 24 Hrs

Bought this as a gift for my daughter due to the larger film output size. What a mistake. The build quality is very very bad. I had this in my home for 24 Hrs and it was all scratched up and looked like it was 2 years old. Then, after taking one photo it failed to power on. The picture it printed via the app was great but then it just died. So Run don't walk away from this sure return and save yourself the headache. I returned mine and ran back to my truck like I had seen a ghost.

Really enjoyed using this at a party. Fun and easy to use. I have this and also the Fuji instax - I like both of them, but this one got much more attention as it became a "Polaroid" conversation starter. Print quality is nice.
