Since I am now invested in the Universe line I thought about getting this power pack for my iPhone 7plus. As of date, I do not believe they are going to continue the line for he iPhone 8 or X, so they were all on clearance at Best Buy. After charging the power pack to full charge I decided to see how my phone charges. So far i am liking what I see but there are some downsides. Pro: - it fits snug into the universe case with ease. I don’t have to worry about it sliding out and falling. - Nice solid built. Adds some weight to the phone. - it does charge my iPhone 7 Plus when I need it and the on/off switch makes it easy - price. I got it on sale st Best Buy Cons: - it does charge your phone BUT not all the way. My phone was down to 39% and the power pack was at full charge. I turned it on to see how long and how far it would go. In about 30 minutes it charged my phone to 88% before being drained. So it roughly charges an iPhone 7 Plus to half before you need to recharge it. - did I mention weight? It adds so much to the phone. - the outer layer is very smooth so it can be slippery. But as it adds weight and mass to the phone I can hold it with ease and without fear of it slipping out of my hand. - you can only use 1 universe accessory at a time AND I wouldn’t be able to connect standard plug in headphones. It seems that the Universe line was meant for the iPhone 6/6plus. Overall I am happy with it but not enthusiastic where I would pay full price.

i had a problem with an older phone and the battery was draining to quick. to solve the problem i had a portable charger and a lightning cable that i used. i normally had to use it when playing a round of golf, so i would have the charger in one pocket, with the cable sticking out and going into another pocket where the phone was. i had to do this because of a golfing app that i run on my phone while i play. it looked ridiculous and the cable always got in the way. this battery pack will eliminate that. i also like that it does not add a lot of weight to my already heavy 8+. the only negative thing i can say about this product is that the lights are super bright. this is an issue when charging the pack at night in a dark room. it lights up the whole area that it is in. when i charge it at night i have to charge it with the lights facing my nightstand so i can’t see them.

I bought this thinking I would use the case all the time. Ultimately I got a thinner case as this one is heavy. The battery works good.

It works just fine but really bulky. The Whole reason most of us get better phones is to get a updated lighter phone.

With this portable charger you no longer have to be that person asking your friends if they have a charger and looking for an outlet at every place you visit. This charger fits perfectly on the back of your Otterbox uniVERSE case. Very simple to turn on and has enough charge to add hours to your phones life. Great product!

Have only used it once but it worked well. The battery was charged pretty quickly so that was a nice feature.

I like this case, I feel my phone is protected if dropped.

The spare battery works great. It slips onto the Otterbox case perfecting. It is not large, but provides large battery charging power when you need it. You do not even know that it is there and you do not need to carry a cord like you do with other portable battery chargers.

Buy it if you have the corresponding case! It’s great and handy!

This works well with my Universe case for my 8 plus.

Love the idea of the case having a port that companies can built compatible components for. The battery recharges quick and charges the phone quickly. Like that I can snap it on without removing the cover. Nice job.

Needed a new battery case for my phone but didn't want a bulky heavy case. This is perfect. Can take the battery on and off when I need it. Best of both worlds. Charging works great when in use.

Everything it says it is and more. Battery lasts me 3 days with normal use. Love that you can take it off and keep the case on when you don't want the bulk of the extra battery.

I had an otterbox that had the battery in it and it was large and I had issues trying to charge it, but this one works great and I can detach it when not using it.

This battery has been a life saver. Quick to charge and very slim. One of the best investments I have made by far.

I travel daily and need some extra battery life. This took care of it . I had double the power and I didn't have to deal with a full time battery case. Slim when I don't need it, and a full recharge when I do need it

A little bulky but charge lasts for a long time. Holds up well

This is a must buy if your phone dies a lot. easy to use and charges fast after battery pack dies.

This is my third in 2 years the plug port gets loose over Time which is why I have had 3 but otherwise works good
