Good money spent.
Not knowing the new market, I was happy after looking for a couple months to find this in a open box deal.
Polk still has a chunk of a corner.

What a great buy! I was shopping for a soundbar to replace my Sharp soundbar which stopped working after a couple of years..bummer. After vehemently shopping online I found that Best Buy had the polk soundbar for an awesome price. After reading the reviews I was convinced I couldn't go wrong with this purchase. Rich sound for such a small soundbar. I was able to connect/sync it to my xfinity cable box so no need to manage separate remotes. Sounds great with just the soundbar and subwoofer but considering adding rear speakers. You won't be disappointed with the audio.

I bought this soundbar to go with the flatscreen TV in my guestroom. I bought a Sony soundbar and then a Samsung soundbar next and neither was as good as this one. It gets much louder, has a way bigger subwoofer, and sounds better especially the voice and bass.

Pick this up as an open box deal. Great sound. The only problem I have with it is that I just can't quite get the volume exactly where I want it to be. But that's a me problem.

Not For Me

Everything was present in the box that was supposed to be there. I plugged in all the wires and after few a days got it working. (They explain how long to push one of the buttons down but not when and how long to push the other one. They needed to give the instructions to one of the English major marketing types to check them, not an to engineer who worked on the project). So anyway, I confirmed it was not defective.
Step two, getting it mounted has been more nettlesome. If you want the cleanest installation you use the supplied keyhole mounting slots. That was clearly the intent. Why else supply the keyhole slots?
But that will not work! The power cord will not fit between the speaker and the wall. The recess for the cord points the wrong way! To even make it back towards the center requires a too sharp turn stressing the wire. How dumb! So if I want to keep it I will have to install a shelf. That requires more work and more expense.
Think I have to go back to the store, find a more expensive but easier to mount speaker that doesn't require buying and installing a shelf.

This soundbar does not work correctly with my Hitachi roku TV. You can't control the soundbar through the TV using optical, only analog.

It has fantastic sound quality, crisp clear, everything you would desire in sound quality. However, it could be bettered if it had a display showing you the current volume level as you are raising or lowering it instead of a blinking light. Also, could come with a better remote, if you try to press to quickly or lightly it will not register. Pressing the button once every 2 to 3 seconds to adjust volume kinda sucks.

Bought on turkey day with decent intensions to a good system just wasnt sure how it was going to sound. Hooked it up and was surprised at the quality. Blew my buddies samsung junk out of the water and was compairable to a 300$ sony system my father has. Gets clear vocals and loud bass is darn good for a 5-6in woofer. Bluetooth works great for your phone. Would recomend for a quick easy system.

I’ve been using the Polk sound bar for about three months now.
This is my second sound bar system, so I wanted to make sure I purchased one that would not only be high-quality but stand the test of time with it’s features.
My original sound bar was a snap decision based on a sale from Panasonic, and it didn’t integrate well with the television. It was difficult to operate, and the sound was poor at best. This time I checked out Sony, LG, and some of the other electronics-branded sound bars. I didn’t think any of them came close to the sound quality of the Polk audio system. Bottom line is when you want a sound bar, you buy it from a speaker company not an electronics manufacturer. The Polk system integrated very well with my Sony 4K television, and the wireless woofer offers up some impressive, booming bass. The system also integrated well with my smart phone via Bluetooth. It was extremely simple and fast to connect to and the sound is fantastic. This system also beat out some of the most popular electronics-branded ones from a price perspective.
One of the features I like best about this is the Voice Adjust modes. If there’s dialogue on TV that’s difficult to hear, you just choose one of three voice sound adjustments, and it transforms the dialogue into clear, crisp, easy to understand audio. I was so impressed with the capabilities of this feature.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

This thing is awesome! The base is great and the soundbar sounds fantastic. I listened to the Sony & Samsung & LG soundbars in the store and this Polk outshined them all. Bluetooth connection is soo simple. Seriously.....buy this one.

It meets my dads needs, specially for sports without costing too much. Great quality for the price. I have 4 Bose systems in my home that are definitely at a different level, but I paid a lot more for them. The Polk system does a great job for one speaker and a sub. Specially good at a $150 price tag. My dad has never been happier!

It's hard to find a decent soundbar & subwoofer for your home entertainment system without spending upwards of $500+. I caught this one on sale for about $189 as I recall, so I was a bit skeptical. Sounded good in the store, still sounds good at home. Bass from the subwoofer is enough to get a cinematic experience but doesn't "Thunder" so keep that in mind. It's plenty deep enough just not a lot of range. The voice audio in movies could be better, and luckily there are settings to enhance voice audio while keeping bass, but it's hit or miss depending on the sound quality of the audio track in the actual movie, which is pretty standard. But for around $200 I'm decently happy with it.

Gives good sound and variability based on what you're watching. Easy to use, once the first defective remote control was replaced by mfr quite easily. I wish the chords were longer and the unit did not turn itself off when inactive in such a short amount of time. A setting to adjust the elapsed time would be nice.

Nice sound bar. Wont give you that booming, ear destroying sound of modern theaters but it works quite well in my apartment. Can be a bit difficult to get it set just right but that depends on what you are watching. Im happy with it. Does what it should do.
