I used these as my rear surround speakers, fitted in the ceiling. Sound is crisp and very nice. Would recommend, especially considering the price.

We purchased these speakers for our patio. When they came they were to small for the hole that the builder cut. Best Buy found another speaker and solved the problem.

I was very pleased with these speakers and so far I think they will be the perfect addition to my home.

After reading multiple reviews on several different in ceiling speakers I ended up choosing the Polk RC80i solely because of the bass specs. I was looking for a speaker with deep bass, which the Polk was unable to deliver. While on the other hand the mids and highs did stand about average with cheaper speakers I heard in the past. As for the overall construction of the speaker, it was noticeable cheap and lacked that "solid" feeling.

These in-ceiling speakers carry a high quality sound.

Bought these to have surround sound in my new home. Still waiting for construction to stop to hook em up.

All four speakers have sound issues. Sounds as if coming up out of a well. Could be issues other than the speakers. Haven't found them yet if so. Still looking for a reason other than the speakers. Really good product historically.

WOW: I purchased a set of klipsch r-28 floor speakers from bestbuy to go along with an older klipsch sub 12 subwoofer, and an even older klipsch c6 center channel speaker. then when it came to the surrounds I was worried about the so called timber matching effect . I decided to take a chance on the polk RC-80i inceiling speakers instead of a complete klipsch speaker system. price had a lot to do with my choice, so I thought I would take a chance, rounded out my system with a denon avr-x3000 receiver and BOOM!!! The most amazing sound I have ever experienced. And this coming from my 7th complete home theater setup I have used. PERFECT. The entire system was purchased through bestbuy over a long period of time.

I recently upgraded to these 8" ceiling speakers and am very pleased with the results (I use them as rear surround for my home theater). The sound is great -- I walked into the room to see who was making noise in kitchen. Turns out my son was watching a cooking show and I was hearing these rear ceiling speakers that were between me and the kitchen. The sound quality was that much noticeably better. I also upgraded to Polk TSi100 front speakers and a Polk CS10 center speaker. This was a great package upgrade for the money.

I personally love the sound of Polk speakers. They make excellent surround speakers people are impressed by the incredible home theater experience and that all the speakers are hidden in the walls and ceilings.
