Great alternative

This is a great cheaper alternative to the Elite controller for half the price. If you are wondering why it is half the price, well there are things that are missing which will bring the price dow nto around 80 dollars. One is it is not wireless, it comes with a 10 ft cable that you must hook up to your Xbox/PC, There's not app to setup your controller profiles like the Elite. For example, you can hot swap your controller buttons based on the game that you are playing, and you can't adjust the tension on the thumbsticks.
What makes this a great alternative is when you are playing a game with this controller, you tend to forget about the differences as they feel more similar. You can't hot swap controller profiles, but they have what is called a pro pack which you can map on the fly. You can map any button to either of the 4 paddles on the pro pack. The weight feels similar to the Elite 2 and they overall function the same way, there isn't a clear advantage when using either controller.
If you are looking to save a bit of money, no doubt go wit hthe Fusion Pro, if you have an Elite and need a backup controller, this one is a no brainer. I will say to get the warranty for it though as the left thumbsticks tends to go out in about a year or so on some models

This controller is pretty impressive. Weighs a lot more than a regular Xbox controller and has a good quality feel to it. It is wired, so no batteries to worry about. It has trigger locks, also comes with paddles you can attach to it for more controller options. It feels really solid and if last longer than an Xbox controller, which shouldn't be too hard, I'll be happy. I've only had it for a few weeks, but, so far, I feel pretty good about the purchase of this controller.

I got caught up in the hype to get a higher end controller for my Xbox and wanted to get the elite 2... but dang I could buy another console for that price and have codes for games I can try and sell. So I went for the Fusion Pro to get rid of the upgrade itch.
The four paddles are huge improvement over the standard controllers. You can map any button to the paddles without the use of any additional software. Some how I even accidentally mapped two buttons to one paddle. I haven't been able to recreate it yet but this would be an even bigger advantage if I can figure out how it happened. I only play single player games because I can't guarantee how much time I have in a play session.
The triggers are adjustable but on mine the right trigger will register a push all the settings, but at the two highest settings if I hold the trigger down it'll release on its own. So in games where I have to hold the button down I sometimes pop out of sneak or whatever. Fix is to put it at the default long pull. The don't have any more in stock when I checked so I didn't exchange.
One thing I wish they'd all - on every freaking xbox controller - is to adjust the thumbstick deadzones. It's not a hardware limitation because you can adjust it in steam. My guess is that put that huge deadzone in to combat mfg defects on crooked sticks. This is probably the most annoying trait of all consoles. Which is why I also have a Xim Apex ;D

Excellent replacement for an xbox elite controller if you don't mind the wired only. The weight and feel of the controller is very similar to my elite. The programmable back buttons are nice to change on the fly without having to use an app to change them. The paddles have the same feel and are removable but are a little cheaper than the elite. Price to performance is definitely worth it.

The controller has a few different features. Its weight, quality, and grip definitely feel great in my hands.
It's a wired controller that has a secure port so you do not have to worry about it ripping from the controller.
Only con is the bottom is only an aux port and not a traditional controller port. This small con did not warrant a drop in rating!
Just have to pay attention for those who need the full controller port for other accessories.

I bought this instead of an Elite Controller and I do not regret it one bit. The paddles are high quality, the feel is sturdy, the joysticks move well, and the overall function of the controller is awesome. The only downside would be it is wired. However, if want to improve your game a wired controller is not a downside.

Bought this controller when my elite thumbs sticks had a lot deadzone issues. This is just as customizable as the elite at a way cheaper price. It is wired which may be a down for some people, but I play at a desk close to the console so no issue. Quality is great and has been really nice and responsive with all the games.
Would recommend.

I'm not one to normally write reviews, but this one is worth it. This is a very solid controller. Don't let the price scare you away, you are absolutely getting what you pay for here.
The weight surprised me a little at first, but that's probably because I was used to cheap products. I quickly grew to appreciate the heft, it feels right. The main buttons/triggers have a satisfying tactile response. No cheap plastic "clickiness" to them at all. Thumbstick resistance is good. Back paddles are simple to program. If you have large hands/longer fingers, you might end up pressing them by accident, but that all depends on how you normally grip a controller. Luckily, they're super easy to remove if you don't find them beneficial. I haven't used either of the alternate thumbsticks, so I can't speak to the ease of swapping them out. The fact they're included, though, is a nice bonus. If you plan on travelling with this controller, the case is surprisingly nice.
If you're looking for a quality wired controller, look no further. I was hesitant to drop $80 on this, but I'm very happy that I did.

Best alternative for the original Xbox controller, it feels well built, very customizable, probably the only downside is that It can only be played by wire, BUT, it doesn’t bother my set up. Actually, the cable it’s too long in my opinion. Around 5-6 ft. It goes on sale

So far so good. Played a game of Duty to test the dead zones on the sticks and they are perfect. I also noticed that the sticks have a hair more tension than my last controller (Fusion Pro 1), which is actually good. Face buttons are faster and make less noise than the fusion pro 1 also, they feel more responsive. The back programable buttons are very responsive, but a bit too close together, but I'll get used to it. Not good if you have big hands, but fine for small hands like mine. Trigger stops are still not useful for certain games, but they seem shorter than the Pro 1 I have, which is good for

Best pro controller budget buy, end of story.
Follow update instructions carefully or your triggers will be buggy. This does almost all the basic things the elite does at about 85% the efficiency. Paddles are too long and get accidentally activated often. Overall solid option and doesn't feel like it would break too quickly. Adjustable triggers on this are sub-par.
If you want something that feels solid and eloquent instead of the feel of a toy, do yourself a favor and save time and heartache by getting the elite 2.
Here are the things that the elite 2 has/does that this doesn't to help you determine if you can live without it:
- Adjustable tension analog sticks
- Shift key programming function (effectively double your amount of buttons)
- true bluetooth
- guaranteed to work with next gen console
- pc and android phone usage (project xcloud)
- case is the charger
- can setup multiple button profiles to quick change between

It's very good. For my use case, I okay so kind of games from FPS to RPG. unless you have a s very heavy hand, the thing shouldn't break. The actuation of the scuff pad, however, is kinda mushy, not bad but not the best. Just gotta get used to it.

Great controller for the price. Had stick drift issues with my $180 xbox gen 2 pro controller and was not going to spend that much again. This controller was very easy to setup and map the back paddles. No stick drift after almost a year of 4-5 day per week 5+ hour per day usage. Only flaw that came up was a broken left thumb stick on the top part of it. Seems the manufacturer did not make a full circle of plastic under the rubber grip on the thumb stick and the flat edge where the plastic stopped broke off. Seems like an extra half a cent of plastic to make it a whole circle would have prevented this but for less than half the price of an xbox pro controller and no stick drift for a year I will take it. It did come with additional joysticks so you can swap it out and should probably get at least 2 years worth of heavy use out of this controller. I will say that it is a pretty great product and I am actually about to order another to keep as a backup.

This controller is good but PowerA needs to do a little work on the paddles. The paddle itself is metal. But the housing holding it is plastic. The feel of this controller is great. It is a bit heavier than stock wireless controllers...... It is wired but for half the price of an elite and both seem to have the same issues as other controllers.... Stick drift. I dont have stick drift yet but all controllers get drift after a while. Imo if you want to experiience a pro controller at half the price of others you cant go wrong. Other than that this is a great controller... Buttons are soft not as clicky as some like but feels good to me. I will update this if anything defective comes up

I'm fairly used to the standard wireless Xbox controller and have used one for years, but when looking for an additional one, I couldn't bring myself to pay $60. When this went on sale, I decided to give it a try.
It comes in ultra premium packaging, and it has substantial weight to it. It FEELS like a high quality item, and it looks great in white with the gold/copper trim. The braided USB cable is plenty long and is easy to manage. In the time I've used it, I have no real complaints, but then again, I haven't put tons of hours on it.
Definitely worth buying if you can get it on sale.

Great controller. My only complaint is the right trigger didn’t work when set for the shortest throw setting. I’m going to exchange it and hope that I don’t get another dud.
It feels solid, and comfortable. I would have liked that the trigger and bumper didn’t blend so well into each other. I end up hitting the wrong buttons on top because you can’t tell where one ends and one begins; obviously after a bit you’ll get used to it. It comes with a nice long cable, so if you’re someone sitting within 9 feet of the Xbox, you’ll be in great shape. The paddles feel just like the elite. Hoping my replacement will work great.

I typically don’t review anything but this is a great value controller. All of my gaming has been done with the standard Xbox controllers but after investing a lot of time into FPS titles I knew I needed a new controller. For $80 this controller is a steal. I personally only use one of the paddles but the trigger stops and grip work very well and the paddles are easily programmable. I like the customizations and case that come with the controller. Also, it takes 5 seconds to map the paddles which I was a fan of. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of how heavy the controller is. It is very heavy and took some getting used to. But I highly recommend the controller to anyone.

It’s nice but paddles are bad quality. The stock tension in the analogs feels different than a default controller there’s less stick drift.
