Customers admire the wireless capability, extended range, and easy setup of the product. It is seen as a good replacement for the original sensor bar and is compatible with the new console. However, customers have concerns about the short battery life and the auto-shutoff feature that occurs even during use. There are also some accuracy issues reported, such as the pointer or hand shaking while pointing.

Good for the money

Bought this product (I have it in black) to eliminate the wires needed for the sensor that came with the Wii. So far, so good. It works better than my original sensor, as now I can operate the Wii from further away, meaning I can sit on my couch instead of on my floor. Also, I did not have to sync anything, only turn this product and the Wii on, and it just worked. Easy set up.
My only concerns are the batteries. You must be very careful when putting in or removing batteries. As far as battery life is concerned, yes, they do die fast, but you can combat this with purchasing rechargeable batteries, which will save a lot of money in the long run. I also like the rubber feet on the bottom that keep it from getting knocked all over the place. I do with there was some form of charger for this, so that the batteries didn't have to be removed and charged/replaced all the time. Really not a bad buy for just $20 though.

Using the normal Wii Sensor Bar, the two players have to be relatively close while playing. This was a problem for my wife and daughter who were having Just Dance Battles. The Ultra Wireless Sensor has allowed them to be further apart and still accurately record each individuals movements. It has now made playing the game a easier, because my wife isn't worried about hitting our daughter with the remote or hands while dancing.

As advertised, adds to the range and viewing angle to any Wii or WiiU group party. Auto syncs with either machine once and doesn't require re-syncing at all, no matter which game console you switch too. Battery operated or use included sensor power cable. Automatic shut-off is helpful but it does scarf battery power when upping the range capabilities. If you use the power cable, no worries. It comes in different colors but the only one I've ever seen would make Henry Ford happy.

It has a good reception compared to the bundled sensor with the Wii console, took 5 minutes to set it up, however it did not include the batteries, you have to buy them to use it without any cables, and it requires lots of power to keep working with batteries, i would recommend rechargeable batteries for this one if you want to protect your wallet, recommended if you want a cable-free environment of your living room, or if you need to replace your Wii sensor bar

This Wii sensor is so much better than the original version. I have a regular Wii and my kitten chewed through the super thin long cord on the sensor. We haven't been able to play the Wii since. At first I was hesitant to get this because I didn't want to pay $20 for it. But I went ahead with the purchase and it was totally worth it. The sensor is wired or wireless. Now I don't have to worry about a long cord getting in the way. The sensor is extended range so where my little girl wasn't hitting the old one properly for her dance games the new one catches her because of the wide range. It also has an automatic shut off so I'm not constantly running through the batteries. My little girl never remembers to turn it off. I am extremely happy with the purchase. With all it can do I would have actually paid more. If you have the old Wii sensor you should upgrade to this one whether you need to or not. You will be truly happy!!!

Did your Wii U include that dinky little sensor bar? Are your kids waving their Wii remotes at the TV in a frenzy looking for the icon to pop up? Kiss those struggles goodbye with this. It eats batteries like crazy but saves on frustration headaches.

This has been a good product so far. It was easy to hook up and sends out a good signal. It uses batteries up really fast though and we are really good about turning it off when we are done using the Wii.

This is so much better than the one that came with the Wii U I bought. Much wider range and I don't have to stand directly in front of it in order for it to pick up the signal. Game play is much better. Glad to see Nintendo making improvements to this instead of just shredding and starting anew with another game with additional, separate hardware. Now, if they can just catch up to the Blu-Ray era with the REST of us!

This is my second one. My first one worked great the whole time I had/used it. I had to buy a new one because when I went out the country I had my stuff in storage and forgot to take the batteries out. Don't forget to take the batteries out when not using for extend periods of time...the batteries will corrode and ruin the device. So, its my fault but this is a great buy that works great.

This is a perfect wireless bar for those who equipment is out of range from screen. Currently is sitting on my home theater where all equipment is hidden from view and the wireless bar works perfect. The batteries do go by fast but I guess it depends on the use of if.

Love this new wireless bar. It can operate in both wireless and wired mode. I have a Gen-1 Wii and was able to use it with the console with no issues at all. Also offers a Wide Shot so you have more wiggle room than you do with the standard bar. Would recommend to everyone that has a Wii

So glad to replace our wireless bar that did not plug in to the wall. We burned through quite a few batteries and I love how this one turns on and off automatically with the Wii

Our original sensor bar for the Wii wasn't working properly. We opted to purchase this Ultra Wireless Sensor Bar for a replacement. The range is great and all moves are registered no matter where you are standing in the room. Good item for the price I paid. Sucks batteries dry after only a few uses so make sure to have some rechargeable batteries handy if purchasing this product.

I was getting so tired of my sensor bar that came with the wii originally. This thing is great. Its wireless with batteries or wired right to the wii. It has so mich better connection with the remotes. So happy i bought this thing, definitely wasn't a waste of money

I recently built a house with a gameroom. The only thing on the wall is the tv itself. everything else is in a media closet away from the TV so its un-seen. This posed a challenge for the wii-u sensor bar. Enter this product. It works great! When I am using a game that needs the sensor bar, just pull it out of the drawer and sit it on top of the TV and i'm ready to go. No wires to mess with or anything. If you don't need a wireless sensor bar This may not be the one for you. It is bulky, and can eat battieries quick. But for me it is perfect!

I bought this to work on another TV in the house, so I would not have to move my original mounted sensor from the livingroom. My Wii is the first model Ninetendo released, and this works like a charm!!! Even looks better than my original one!!!!!
