This is one of the, if not THE, best COD games ever. Incredible graphics and gameplay, story and weaponry.
MY ONLY NEGATIVE.....TO PLAY ZOMBIES YOU NOW HAVE TO PAY FOR DLC PACKS OR SEASON PASS WHICH WILL DOUBLE YOUR COST. ZOMBIES ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE IT, BUT A LITTLE BITTER AT BEING FORCED TO PAY DOUBLE. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE GAME ITSELF 5 STARS BUT THIS BROUGHT IT DOWN TO A 3. SHAME ON YOU DEVELOPERS!! $110 FOR WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE GOT FOR $59.99

Finally!! Call of Duty is truly "Next-Gen"

Each year a new Call of Duty is released and they are gamers who camp out for days just to get it the moment it's available. Millions of copies are sold, and, unsurprisingly it was the topselling video-game of 2014.
In the past few years of Call of Duty has become repetitive, each iteration not much different from the next, but worst of all, last years' "Ghosts" felt unfinished and the *spark* that made this franchise so popular in the first place, just wasn't there.
That being said, it wasn't a "bad" game... Just not a *GREAT* game!
Now on to this years "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare"
Oh my Goodness!!!! This game is stunning! The visuals are AAA! The story (while campy at times) is delivered quite well, the customization options, verticality, every detail about this game shouts "Next-Generation" right in your face!
The explosions, lighting effects, frame-rate, on screen action is intense!
Though short (common with this franchise) the single player campaign is one of the best I've played since COD4 or even Black OPs.
The multiplayer is the most in-depth it has ever been (I'm terrible by the way) and has exactly what the fans have been asking for.
Bottom line is that this game is incredibly fun! The single player campaign is worth a 2nd play through and the multiplayer is the Gold Standard.
I hope this trend continues.

This a lot different from your typical call of duty games. The exosuits give you advancements such as super jumps, stomps, quick dodging, shields, speed, health, cloaking, etc. Some people will like the change, some will not. Not really a realistic shooter like past call of duties, very futuristic, but not Halo futuristic. Story is good and gets you used to the mechanics of the game.
Multiplayer is solid, am able to connect to a game quickly. Lots of options to customize class perks, guns, attachments, scoring streaks, etc. Not much lag from what I've seen.

Great Addition to the COD Franchise

I realize that opinions vary regarding each of the successive additions to the Call of Duty franchise. However, I tend to judge each game on its own merits. I find that I enjoy playing this game although I am not great at it. The addition of new features and weapons has put a modern twist on the game and has increased my enjoyment. The multi-player works well, the campaign is challenging with a good story line and the recent DLC adds more maps and game types.

Way Better Than COD: Ghosts

If you gave up on the COD franchise after Ghosts, then you should give Advanced Warfare a try. I have been a COD fan for a while, really enjoying Modern Warfare 1-3 as well as Black Ops 1 and 2 (my faves). I usually play multiplayer only, but occasionally have given the campaign portion a whirl. After playing Ghosts, I thought I should stick a fork in COD because Ghosts was repetitive and boring, bringing nothing new to the franchise.
Advanced Warfare is the typical COD experience, but with enough new elements where you will likely enjoy the gameplay if you are already a COD fan. You now have an exoskeleton to blast around the game map (think Titan Fall, but a tad less creative) and while the multiplayer maps are pretty small, they are more vertical so you can take advantage of your jet pack. Also, I don't mind the small maps because it allows for more close combat (one thing I hated about Ghosts was how big some maps were and unless you were a sniper, you spent half the time running around trying to find people). Graphics are great and it's nice to finally have a game "made" for the Xbox One.
As for the campaign, I am about half way done and it is pretty fun - graphics are great and there are some cool gameplay elements to it.
Although I like this game overall, it is not perfect. Weapon variety is pretty boring and multiplayer connection speed is hit or miss. Also, some components are unrealistic like you can throw a bomb on a car but the car doesn't explode. But like I said, there are enough new elements where I enjoy playing it and find it a challenge.

The campaign is surprisingly good and the graphics are great on next gen platforms. As usual, the online multiplayer is the draw of this game. The maps and weapons are somewhat better from the previous few titles in the series, which didn't seem to be complete efforts. Advanced warfare is an entertaining game and is in no way disappointing.

Very fun and fast paced shooter with a heavy focus on online play. The campaign was fun but forgettable. Online is where the game really shines. Tons of fun with friends but the game can get stale after a while.

After avoiding the Call of Duty franchise since Modern Warfare 3 I was drawn back in with Advance Warfare. The exo suit is one of the main features that intrigued me with it's ability to do a boost jump. I also thought I would give the series a new try because it's setting takes place in the future.
I have mostly spent time playing multiplayer and some aspects of it feel fresh and I like such as the ability to win mystery items just by playing. Some of them are unique elite pre-setup weapons with stats and attachments better than what you can set in the game, while others are common weapons that offer no real use than to sell them for experience points. I also really like that there are clothing options to give your multiplayer character a somewhat unique appearance.
Playing the actual multiplayer has much of the same feel as what I remember from Modern Warfare 2 & 3, except now there are people randomly boosting through the air. The same type of people who played before are still playing now. There are tons of people still yelling, cussing, and calling everyone names. So much so that I have to mute the chat for people more often than not. It really puts a sour note on playing sometimes.
I also own Titanfall and the difference between the type of people you encounter is night and day. In Titanfall when someone is actually chatting, they tend to be helpful and aren't constantly screaming "die p***y!" Now Titanfall is slightly more sci-fi because of the Mechs and the fact you can run on walls, but I have more fun on multiplayer with it. I don't feel the sensory overload I sometimes get from Advanced Warfare.
Both games take some time to get to the point where you can have some fun playing because you barely have anything in the beginning. You must get to level 15-20 before you have a decent selection of weapons and perks. Again I have more fun with Titanfall, but it has nowhere near the number of people playing that Advanced Warfare has. Neither game has any difficulties finding matches.
Where Advanced Warfare really shines over Titanfall is the story mode, Titanfall pretty much does not have a story mode. There is no offline game to play, there are a handful of story type missions you can play with friends and that is it. Advanced Warfare on the other hand offers a dramatic cinema-like story with many of the same over dramatized elements from Black Ops & Modern Warfare 2 & 3. I wasn't impressed by the story and I don't know why I thought it would be anything different.

Call of Duty is consistent... and I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. This is the same Call of Duty formula with futuristic tech and weapons. The story is much better than previous installments, but it is a bit predictable. It's definitely a step in the right direction.
Let's be honest... you're going to buy this game, you'll enjoy it because CoD are usually solid games. Just don't expect to be enlightened.

I was not expecting much from this game at all but as soon as I got my hands on it wow! The multiplayer is a little difficult to get used to but once you do it's phenomenal! The variations of guns are amazing, graphics are amazing and the load out system is great! The campaign was pretty much the same for Call of Duty but it was still good with lots of plot twists along the way. A great buy!

Don't know why people say this game is not worth.... I love the story mode. The weapons and technology shown on the game are exciting , something we can definitely predict in our not so far future.
As a fan of Kevin Spacey, I liked his character and the way it is portrayed in the story mode. I have a 20 Mbps connection, still i get kicked out sometimes . Other than that everything is so awesome.

I like war games that challenge me and is historically correct.. This game has enough variations to keep me interested.. Storyline runs nicely through the level I am playing and uses some cool weapons.. Some of the language is not good for young players. It would be exceptional if the games were made for all ages to be able to play... I would recommend this game to others...

I'm not a multiplayer gamer. I prefer single player campaigns and this one did not disappoint. Game play was fluid. The story line was engaging even if I sort of figured out the climax. I wish the campaign was longer. Mission tactics can vary (stealth or kick-A) which adds to replay value. Kevin Spacey breathed realism into the game. Loved the graphics

This is my favorite Call of Duty yet. Let's be honest, COD Ghosts was awful. This game is so much better in every way and it rivals COD Black Ops for my favorite game in the franchise. The graphics are awesome. The game sounds beautiful. I mostly play multiplayer, and I've yet to have any issues with lag. Highly recommended.

What can I say about COD Advance Warfare? It definitely is way different then the other series. Mastering the weapons is bit more challenging but do have to say there are some really good weapons in this game. Not a fan of the boost jump and cycling of your grenades. Overall the game is really good!

This was a pretty great game actually. I didn't expect much because, well, its Call of Duty. But graphically its probably the best looking game out for Xbox One (at least story mode wise). The story was pretty cool and Kevin Spacey was an awesome addition.

This game did not disappoint me. The graphics are awesome, the weapons are amazing, and the special abilities (boost jump, dodge, etc.) are fantastic. My only negative comments would be that all of the levels are way too easy, not challenging enough.

If you have played COD in the past, this is the same game. Same mechanics with a new story and some new gadgets and guns. Overall, it looks great and is still one of the best competitive FPS you can play online.
