I bought this game specifically to play on the Xbox X the patch was over 29 gbs As a hardcore pc and console gamer and I am not a fanboy of any of them I love them all equally I own this game on PC as well and I am here to tell you this is amazing when played on an Xbox One X PC maxed out is amazing as well but I have to say with the patch installed You will be stupified at the visuals For the first time games on consoles have reached parity visually with PC You need fast internet though to download this huge patch but it is so worth it PS4 Pro is not bad but this is amazing. The game itself is thrilling and really well done. If this is an example of Xbox One X enhanced games I cant wait for more patches because this is why i spent the money. I submitted a screenshot taken with my phone that I believe will speak volumes.

The first of these new iterations of Tomb Raider was amazing. It's Uncharted meets Tomb Raider. In fact, Nathan Drake and Lara Croft should just do a game together, get married, and have some little explorers. Square Enix (publisher) and Crystal Dynamics (developer) saw something amazing in the Uncharted games and applied it to Tomb Raider and voila, instant success. But my biggest complaint on the first one was that it was a little short and the map areas a bit small. Now enter Rise of the Tomb Raider. The maps are much bigger, the story just as rich and appealing, and the campaign is longer. Plus there is many more side quests, collectables, and tombs to raid, which ups the notch of replay ability to 11 if you are all about 100% completion like me. There is not much new in terms of gameplay; but if it's not broke, don't fix it. They did only what they needed to do to make a very successful sequel.

This game is great. The graphics are sharp, the controls are concise and the story is engrossing. Some people are salty about it coming to Xbox first, but at least they'll get it for PS4 next year unlike the next Street Fighter, so they'll just have to get over it.

This game is much improved from the last Tomb Raider. Discovering the tombs is optional and it does reward. However, if you want the full experience I would recommend you to RAID the tombs!!! The wildlife that you encounter are ferocious and provide challenge and mix up the gunplay. The graphics are lush,colorful and show the true power of the Xbone. The action is seamless with a great story. Highly recommend even if you have never played a tomb raider game!

A great addition to the series with excellent controls and graphics. The exploration is interesting and will keep you coming back for more. A lot of game for a little bit of money!

Even on Xbox One this game looks Gorgeous, Crystal dynamics does a fantastic job with the lighting effects. The game doesn't require any previous experience to the Tomb Raider Universe as it uses flashbacks, and its own story elements separate from the first title (albeit, fashioned into a similar style). Much needed improvements to crafting system and ammo system were very enjoyable. LOTS of Tombs to explore, some require you to go back after you obtain a gadget similar to first game and I recommend doing every one of them. New Survival mode is fantastic! Even without multiplayer this game mode gives you a fun game mode to play far after you are finished with the story mode.

I recently bought a xbox one s and i wanted to find a good game to go with my purchase. So i saw Tomb Raider and i said what the heck, i liked the last game. And let me tell you this game blows the last one out the water. Improved combat, exploration, more tomb to raid , smarter AI , and an excellent story are just a few things that made this game worth the purchase

This was the most fun I've had in a long time playing a video game. The tombs are fun and challenging, and the story is great. I haven't messed around much with the DLC yet, but the game itself is amazing.

the game is excellent for anyone new to the tomb raider franchise. Controls are fantastic, graphics are really breath taking. you get drawn into the story as you progress and play as the main character.

The latest installment in the Tomb Raider series is graphically stunning to say the least. The game play is reminiscent of some of the earlier titles that involve a little more puzzle solving and the classic Lara par-core like acrobatics that although not absent in the last installment were minimal. For the older players the iconic bombshell sister of Indiana Jones that every teenage boy loved to watch crawl through caves in her khaki shorty shorts is gone the story picking up as Lara is a teenager herself leaving me feeling a bit fatherly oddly enough and I would guess a good role model for younger gamer girls while not alienating the rest of us. Well played, and definitely worth playing.

This is a great game. Beautiful graphics, difficult puzzles and lots of action. They are doing a great job remaking Lara Croft. This game has an interesting story that holds your attention.

If you enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, then you'll definitely fall in love with this game. More tombs, action, and a better story make this a standout entry in the series.

If you played the Tomb Raider reboot in 2013, then you already know the franchise has taken a huge step forward in quality and experience. Rise of the Tomb Raider takes all of the best parts of the previous game and improves on them. It introduces new moves and weapons, multiple combat strategies for different approaches, more complex puzzles, breathtaking environments (that are more expansive too), as well as a great story and excellent cut scenes with impressive voice acting. Not to mention the graphics are wonderful to look at. I will probably play through it again because it was so enjoyable.

Like the Tomb Raider remake released a few years ago, this game is fun, has a lot of great RPG elements, and an ok story. I like the addition of crafting to this sequel and the much better tombs. The card-based microtransaction-filled mode, however, should never have been added. I assume they were encouraged to add that mode to try to get more revenue given the less-than-expected sales of the previous game. Some people may enjoy it, but it's easily ignored for everyone else. Overall, though, the main game is well worth playing and future DLC should add more great levels to play. Highly recommended.

Great graphics aside Lara returns in this sequel with a great story. Controls are familiar and quickly you get thrown into the action. Great Game, Great experience.

Rise of the Tomb Raider had the unfortunate fate to be released on the same day as Fallout 4. It is a fantastic new chapter, following the reboot that came out several years back. If you played the first one, this is more of the same, but then you know what to expect, and the game gets going a lot more quickly. Also, best of all, there are a lot more tombs to raid/explore. I would like if they focused less on combat, but the game does give you more freedom for how you want to take on enemies. Overall, it is well worth picking up, and will take you a long time to find everything there is to do.

The graphics are amazing, didn't notice any problems with frame rates, very smooth experience overall, the story it's one of the best in the series, but more importantly gameplay and survival skill are improved in every way compared to the last entry, so I think this is probably the BEST Tomb Raider of all time, or at least one of the better entries in the series, if you like Tomb Raider this is a must buy, and if you haven;t play them before, I think this a good game to start, any xbox one owner should at least give this game a try, 100% recommended.

This is one of the best games I have played since The Last of Us. Good action, decent story, nice images and nice gameplay. Overall, great game!!!

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a thrill from beginning to end. There is so much content that it kept me entertained for countless hours (and multiple playthroughs). The characters give strong performances that develop through their fun missions and well written dialogue. The gameplay is exciting with a lot of fast pace action that kept me hooked. Another part I enjoyed was the side missions which often lead me to exploring places throughout the games world. Highly recommended!
