I bought this to use with my Audio Engine desktop speakers - it compliments my computer system with an extra octave or so, with nice tight bass - not booming, or deep, but certainly fills in a gap in the sound palette - best for use with a computer system in a small room. Build quality is very good.

I have the PSB speakers and decided to add the sub to fill out the sound. The whole system works great. I know it is pricey for computer speakers, but if you are an Audiophile, then you can't go wrong. I highly recommend PSB speakers, I also have a set of their book shelf speakers that are almost 10 years old that sound as good as when purchased.

    Tiny wonder

Had to replace my 12" Velodyne sub as it was too much bass for townhouse neighbors. After opening the box, this PSB sub looked like a 1/8" scale model of my old sub! Those expecting this tiny sub to plumb the lowest depths with authority should look elsewhere. This tiny sub does have decent bass output without overpowering the room, which is needed in my case. Recommended for anyone needing decent bass fill in smaller spaces or condo/townhouse settings.

I got this speaker to replace my 12 inch Cerwin Vega powered sub. It does not respond like that one. However this speaker truly meets my needs in a smaller 15X15 room. It delivers crisp and deep lows, surprising for its compact size. If you are into reproducing loud explosions on your video games, this speaker is not for you. If you want good solid low end for your movies and music in a smaller room, this speaker is perfect.

I needed a subwoofer for home theater that was compact in size. This is the only one I found and it's great!
