I used to play chess on my computer when computers first came out. Yes I'm that old. I played a lot but games would take a long time to play so I stopped playing it till now. Now it only takes a long time if your winning. I've really enjoyed playing chess again. This is a really good strategy game.

I love playing the game with family members. Never gets old.

I played a solid round of chess with a friend over PSN and it was a blast chatting and playing. You can set timers and pick from an assortment of styles for the pieces all of which look incredible. The soundtrack is equally stylish and well assorted in a way that really drives home the classy quality of a game of chess. The CPU can be nigh impossible even on a setting of average which can be disheartening. Also, the assortment of environments to play in is not that varied. But for 20 bucks, you get what you pay for and when that includes a polished game of chess with friends around the globe who you can chat with via headset, there really isn't much to complain about.

20 dollars seems like a lot to pay for a chess game but your really paying for top quality. The boards and pieces glisten while the soundtrack is surprisingly varied and fits the mood of the game. If you are a newb to chess, there are tutorials in the game to accomodate you. I do wish there were more than 3 boards to play on but the fact that you can share play with friends who don't even own the game is outstanding.

The graphics are beautiful! This is a wonderful way to learn and practice the game of chess! Simple instructions and easy introduction of complex theory!

nothing fancy - just straightforward chess (you do get a couple of different chess boards to choose from however ) if you like chess at a cheap price, this is for you

I thought it was a great game. My 16 year old didn't agree with me though. He likes to play chess, but when you have to pick and choose what to install on your PS4 because of limited hard drive space, board games don't rank very high.

My older son actually took the time to teach his younger brother how to play chess with this game.
