    Recently purchased a pre owned home and after being in my home a few days of drinking water from the fridge i noticed the filter was out dated. Poped into Bestbuy and purchased frigidare pure source 1 filter and immediately noticed the difference in taste of my refrigerator water.

    You need to replace otherwise your ice will not taste good or your water. No more than 8 months forgot to replace.

    I was a bit nervous about buying this one because of some of the reviews. At first it seemed like it didn't fit until i realized i jad to take the plastic caps off the prongs. Once i did that it fit perfectly.

    I have lurched this filter from Best Buy previously and knew where to find the correct filter! I change it every 6 months and Best Buy is convenient and the price is good!

    Go brand name on these filters. They make other generic filters you can get for half the price, but the water tastes different and they don't last as long. Worth the extra money if you use your ice maker or water system often, especially if you have hard water.

    We have tried off brand or even other name brand filters and I don't believe they filter the water as well as the original Frigidaire Puresource 3 filters. Some even feel much lighter leaving me to wonder what's inside. I will pay a little more to get what I believe is a better product.
