Customers highly value the engaging gameplay and compelling storyline of Quantum Break. Many also praised the action sequences, time travel elements, and enjoyable powers. However, some felt the game lacked replayability and had a relatively short campaign length. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns about replayability and length.

I will admit i was skeptical at first on purchasing this game based on past experience with this type of theme in so many previously failed video games. But i have been nothing short of impressed, the game play is smooth and clean. Visuals are fantastic and crisp. Only downfall i can find is that the mini movies are extremely long in between episodes. Overall this game get all high marks and i would hope that a squeal will happen. Well worth the purchase and has replay ability based on decisions made in the game that change the course of the game.

Pretty much a standard 3rd person shooter. But with some time manipulation to spice things up. Every now and again you make a choice, and then you get to watch a 30 min live action video for more story.
There is no multiplayer. So heads up for multiplayer players.
The great part, if you buy this brand new you get Alan Wake and all of its dlc.
You'll get about 6-8 hours with the campaign. Its a pretty interesting story, hence the title. Plus Alan Wake with the purchase. I would say its worth it if you love stories in video games.

Ice Man vs Little Finger guest starring half the cast of the Wire. I really liked this mix of tv show and video game. the game is way too actiony for the story they are telling though. everyone shoots first even if it isn't neccessary. this game would have worked better in the tell tale model over the action 3rd person shooter but it's fun never the less. last boss is crummy though.

Definitely one of the best looking games on the current generation. The gameplay is very fun and smooth and the story is a fun sci-fi adventure that really rewards you if you delve deep into the collectibles AND play the game twice. A good game for people who like decision making in games and like to go back to make a different choice after beating the game. The best parts of this game are when you are playing on the hardest difficulty and you have multiple different types on enemies on screen that need to be defeated in several ways and you have to take advantage of all your powers at once. The TV show that takes place between acts of the game is very cool and different. Could have been a show on it's own even without the main game. Remedy is a great story telling and world building company. Fun game that is just way too short and never full reach it's potential. Not a full price game.

I really liked Quantum Break overall. Its one of the better stories I've run across in games in awhile, and I play ALOT of games. My biggest complaint preventing a perfect score here is that alot of the story comes through collectibles you find throughout the missions that you have to read. There is a ton of reading in this. Not required, but it does enrich the story - I just wish it had been encorporated in a different way - 15 min of reading in places breaks up the pace of a great story. Action is great - time manipulation powers are cool. Acting is also great and the 20-30 min tv shows in the first 4 chapters are unlike anything I've seen in a game. Choices given to the player also let you sculpt the villain to your liking which was a nice inclusion. Groundbreaking game though - worth playing.

I love the idea of combining a TV show with a video game, since that is basically what this is. You get to watch live action episodes and can choose the path you want to take which dictates major portions of the story. The overall gameplay is okay and they story has been great so far!

Remedy, the creators of Alan Wake and the first 2 Max Payne titles have unleashed a new beast with Quantum Shift. The narrative is interesting because it goes from a live action show to 3d gameplay. The ability to alter time is like Max Payne's legendary bullet time on steroids. This game is fun enough to keep you interested and the ability to make decisions that change the story is welcoming, but a far cry from Heavy Rain or Until Dawn, two games that present completely different outcomes based on your every move. I recommended this game to my best friend Leet Larry, but it wasn't enough to convince him to buy the xbox one.

Quantum Break is a rare treat simply because of the fress new idea about time. The game runs smooth with the live action episodes after each act in the game. Quantum Break is combat is engaging and entertaining and the story makes it that much more satisfying. The only problem with quanum break is that once you completed the game twice there is nothing left to go back to. Quantum Break is fun and worth a chance to play

I had high hopes for this game but IMO it felt a little flat. The story and characters are pretty forgettable and not nearly as fleshed out as I thought a game with live action episodes mixed in would be. I kept waiting on some neat revelation or twist in the story to happen considering it's a story about time travel but it never did. The story just slogged on and when I reached the end I was underwhelmed. Combat was serviceable but was too easy and became repetitive. The only difficult part of the game was the final boss (I hate when games are stupid easy but become insanely hard on the final boss). Plus the game isn't very long and I beat it in about 3 nights playing after work. There are some things to like with this game mainly the graphics and the attempt at innovation with the inclusion of the live episodes. The powers you acquire are kind of neat but also feel kind of gimmicky/hokey too. Overall I'm glad I played this game but also glad I bought it on sale for under $30 instead of paying full price. My recommendation is to wait for a good deal on this game, buy it, play it quick, and then trade or sell it because this game really has no replay value.

Quantum Break is a game that's very unique and every Xbox owner should play it. Is it a game with a tv show or is a tv with a game, truth is its a little of both and your choices in game are reflected in the accompanying tv show like segments at the end of each chapter. The game looks gorgeous and the action and gunplay are very smooth. The tv segments are very well done with well known actors and I found myself just as interested in both parts. If you enjoy a good single player story driven game I would highly recommend quantum break.

I wish I can give it a 5 start rating because I feel in some respects it deserves it. Cinematically and graphically this may be the best looking game on the XBOX One, and as an exclusive, we are lucky to have only for XBOX owners. The campaign is somewhat short, but that still should not takeaway from what was accomplished. The 4 real action drama series is pretty good, and it gave the game more heart and soul to the characters themselves. I was impressed with the talent level Microsoft was able to harness. Shawn Ashmore and Aiden Guilleb were the absolute standout and developer Remedy nailed the presentation. The game is a great game, and hopefully there will be more developers to experiment how remedy has. The gameplay was so much fun, I couldn't put down the controller unless there was a natural disaster happening. I just wanted to keep playing and learn more about the story and what will happen with the ending. The degree of difficulty is fairly easy, but this is more of a cinematic game anyway. I knew what I was buying.

From what I've played of this game it's really amazing. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is a ton of fun. This is a really story-driven game, based around and intricate and well thought out plot that will be a lot of fun to unravel. Unfortunately there is one catch, it's based around a mini-series show. It's great that the show is included with the game, but it's not included on the disc. Instead you get a code for a 75 gig download. That's a HUGE download!! I'm in a limited internet area, and that's more than I get in a month, and that's not even taking into account download speed. This is probably not an issue for most people, but for those of us that need to remain download conscious it's a real problem. Since I bought this game for the story I haven't really played it much, since I'm missing out on a big part of it. At some point I'll figure out a way to get it downloaded, and then I'm sure I'll love playing it. But it would have been nice to know about that big download before I bought the game.

The game was fun. Gameplay was unique compared to most of the games out there, the time powers giving you things to do that I've never done or dealt with before in video gaming.
Graphics were good, on my XB1 I had great framerates, no tearing, smooth gameplay. Controls were mostly spot on once I got the hang of them.
But I think they spent too much time in the "TV show" side of things, and not enough on the gameplay side, since I spent more time watching the "show" than I did playing. The game was over far too quickly.
I would've preferred the video game and no acting, maybe just storyboards or something like Infamous did with graphic visualization of a story line between things. And a longer game play, more missions, or at least LONGER missions.
As fun as it was, it was just too short... I got this on a very big sale, so insanely cheap. Had I paid retail, or even half retail, I would've given it a lower rating due to the shortness of the gameplay.

The story is very interesting, the gameplay is enjoyable. I didn't expect platforming but there is actually some of that. Be warned the live action parts come in 30 minute chunks, which sounds so long when you're sitting there to play a game, but they put the most exciting parts in them, like car chases, so it really kept me from noticing the time spent just watching.
Not a lot of replayability for me, but there are some choices you make that could be interesting to try the other option. Though on that topic, I ended up annoyed by the choices because I like to put myself in the head of the character making choices in video games, weigh all the factors and make the choice that I would be yelling at the TV if it was a show, but because you're making choices as the antagonist this didn't really work that way. At one point you have to choose "who the antagonist thinks is a traitor", but at that point, you flat out know who the traitor is so I don't understand how I'm supposed to choose.

I will preface this review by stating that I was worried pre release that this may have been a flop on Microsoft's end, due to the multiple delays and the integration of the television show. Cool concept, but very risky.
Quantum Break exceeded my expectations across the board. The presentation was amazing, on in game and during the show. The constant distortion of the game world did not affect gameplay (unless it was meant to of course), even when it became more consistent the more you played.
Voice acting was spectacular, from the main character, to the villain (Who plays "Littlefinger" in Game of Thrones by the way), to even the supporting characters. This again goes for both in game and during the show.
Gameplay is more or less like your standard shooter with various power ups. It takes a while to get used to the positioning or the combinations you may use. I will say that the cover system mediocre, but it overall it won't hinder gameplay.
As far as the show itself, it's tailored to the decisions you make after each chapter, and if you collect/view certain objects during the game (these give unique dialogue or slightly modify a scene). You sometimes forget you're playing a game. The show is well written, and it integrates the story very well. Even though the show is optional, it never feels like a chore when you watch.
Overall, Quantum Break is a must play game for the experience itself. It's definitely a step in the right direction for this generation of gaming.

I really enjoyed the time spent playing Quantum Break. The blending of the game with the live action shows was great in my opinion. However the game is extremely short and once you've played through twice to choose all options at the "junctions" there's no real replay value.

I like Sci-fi a lot and although the plot is not mind blowingly new, it is entertaining. The game itself if ok so far. Infamous is a much better game on all fronts. Infamous better story, powers, upgrade system and tighter controls. This game could've been so much more.
For the discount I paid for it, its worth the money but definitely not full price. For $15 or less I would recommend it, anything more I would not.
Oh yeah, the language. Every other word is the "f" word. I get it, it's not for kids but seriously? Out of the hundreds or thousands of English words we have to cycle through a few curse words every few sentences.
