A true classic I saw it in the theatres when it first came out and then I saw it on the shelf and I felt I needed to have this in my collection and I sure wasn't disappointed glad I bought it wonderful movie and superb acting.

I remember watching this when it first came out and got a kick out of it even though it isn't the best film out there. When I saw it there I remember my boy really like Ron Perlman and since this was that guys first film I had to get it. My boy did get a kick out of it.

Not for children due to sexual situations. Documentation of the moment cavemen realized they could actually make fire as shown them by a nearby tribe. Prior to this all status and efforts evolved about finding and keeping fire from extinguishing.

It is still probably the best caveman movie out there, even with the timeline errors it contains. Quite easy to follow and very entertaining.

An often forgotten classic by a brave film maker who was willing to make a performance driven tale without spoken word....

I saw this movie when I was younger and watched it again and still remember what a great movie.

I ordered this movie by mistake, but since I didn't have it in my collection, I kept it. It was actually pretty good, considering there is very little actual conversation in the movie. But that makes sense, since it is set 80,000 yrs ago.

Was kinda expecting more but all in all it's a movie you can watch

I feel this movie was was a beginners romance. Loved it!

What does pre-historic man do when his tribe's fire is accidentally extinguished? He has not developed the knowledge or the skill required to make a fire from nothing. This is the story of his search to replace the prime necessity for their tribe's survival. Mankind lives in those primitive times where the dangers from wild creatures, unfriendly surroundings, competition from savage tribes and their own primitive knowledge has not yet developed to guarantee their odds for survival. Add to their dilemma the truly funny things that happen to them during their quest for fire. Excellent story that captures and portrays primitive man and his times and their innate sense of humor in the face of life threatening danger that is unique to the human spirit. IT IS A FUN JOURNEY! You will find yourself asking, "What would I do differentiy if you found yourself in their situation but with today's knowledge and experience?"

This movie tells about quest for fire & humor with early humans. Husband loves this movie.

This was a fun movie to watch. Ron Pearlman plays a character in it. That was my main reason for purchasing this movie.

This movie is about early man's quest for fire. When a tribe's fire goes out it is up to a young man to find fire to help his tribe survive. During his quest he has many adventures and meets other tribe members before he fulfills his quest. This is a gritty movie that tries to be historically accurate. To be fair at times it is boring but it is well worth watching.

What a great movie. One to see over and over again.
