This is a really good movie and the 3d effects aren't bad

Ok movie for the value. I would recommend it to a friend

This movie got 13% critics and 38 % real people, so it is not an award winning movie. It is fun though. This is basically men in black with dead people instead of aliens. It also has a talented cast of Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker. These four could make a movie about (fill in what you think is the most boring subject in the world) and make it watchable.

An excellent movie full of action and special effects to be able to see them in 3D

I wasn't sure that this was going to be any good. Just because you have Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon doesn't mean that the movie will be any good. Just look at all of the big name actors in the In the Name of the King movies - and they are some of the worst movies I've ever seen. Interesting storyline for RIPD and good special effects make this a decent movie that is reminiscent of the MIB movies.

This is by no means an award winning movie, but it wasn't intended to be. It's just a fun, entertaining movie that our family enjoyed. It does give you the feel of the "Men in Black" movies with the good guys battling the aliens. We enjoyed Jeff Bridges character and it was a surprise to see Kevin Bacon in this movie as well. If you just want to watch a fun, non-thought provoking movie, this is enjoyable.

I'm a BIG Ryan Reynolds fan and he didn't disappoint. Its a fun movie in 3D

Similar to men in black, funny performances from the leads. Good 3d depth.

Full disclaimer: I am a HUGE Ryan Reynolds fan. I think he is one of the wittiest and funniest actors alive today. The fact he can also do really great action flicks like Safe house is just icing on the cake. I also love Jeff Bridges, while he was funny as the DUDE. I actually consider him more of a dramatic actor turning especially good performances in movies like Sea Biscuit etc. So I was completely and happily blown away when I realized that in this movie Jeff bridges is the comic lead!! lol He made the whole family laugh hysterically numerous times. And while Ryan Reynolds definitely had his jokes too, Jeff Bridges carried this movie comically on his back. Fair warning, you must be in a silly mood and TRULY wanting to laugh when you watch this flick. The plot is waaaaay corny and if your in a serious mood you will most likely just find it stupid. My .02 cents.

While I was skeptical at first about this movie, I decided to watch it and make my decision based on actually watching it. I was surprised that I liked it! It's not only a different kind of comic book movie, but also Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges actually work well together on screen! I would rent it first and see if it works for you..

I enjoyed this movie. It had an interesting premise (enforcement of the "rules" of life & death), good special effects, and a good mix of humor and action. The acting by Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges kept it fresh. Unfortunately, the plot was rather predictable. Bottom line, though, its fun a worth a look.

Ok so Men in Black are dead and now saving planet from dead guys who wont go to rest... sort of zombies combined with men in black plot. Best bit is jeff bridges and the folks seeing the RIP officers as an old Chinese guy and a good looking rich chick. Too many zombie movies out there.. but this is a good satire on both..

Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, and yes Kevin Bacon - can't go wrong, right? But the movie itself could've been better. Still worth owning the DVD though. Mary Louise Parker is hilarious by just plugging her own cynical acting style along the way. Looks like the actors had fun with this one.

I enjoyed this with my HS freshman and 8th grade daughters, who also liked it. Sort of a Men in Black vibe - not perfect but entertaining - and for a while after watching it we found ourselves trying to guess which people in malls, etc., were deaders. That was pretty fun(ny) too.

I wrote this film off as it tanked in the theaters so I watched it with very low expectations. Imagine my surprise when I found myself enjoying it. There are a lot of comparisons to Men In Black, but I found the differences between the two to really hold my interest. I recommend it.

This movie didn't do well at the box office or apparently on DVD, so it is available cheap on sale. I enjoyed the premise and the silliness, though the ending is your typical kill the monster slugfest. Jeff Bridges is good playing the crusty character he plays so often.

If you are looking for a film thats gonna win an oscar don't bother with this one. If you are like me and you enjoy watching movies then I would highly recommend this movie. There is some good action, monsters some comedy and of course a lot of sarcasm from jeff bridges.
