When people review the R1 as fun...that is an understatement! I bought this device for its prospective utility. Yes, you can use the R1 sporadically for its utility. However, what keeps you coming back for more is the fun! And, with their flurry of updates the past 9 months (since I've had the rabbit R1), the utility and fun is non-stop. The latest multi-language support is fantastic. Being a Spanish speaker, being able to interact with AI in Spanish is wonderful! It is almost impossible finding AI that works in Spanish (don't get me started on Siri). My wife loves her Rabbit and since she speaks Spanish, she uses it for school and work! I bought one for my son as well and he loves it because it helps him with his homework. I am getting one for my mom, whose main language is Spanish. Now, for the fun...this device has a camera and you can prompt it to generate AI images from pictures you take. I use it a lot on trips. Why take regular dull photos, when you can take Magic Camera photos! Take a photo and make it LEGO! The R1 has so many use cases and things it does. The best part-no subscription! I highly recommend it to all!

I've had my Rabbit R1 for over a year now, and I've got to say the Rabbit R1 team hasn't slowed down one bit with updates and new features. The community that's grown around it is just as incredible as the device itself. Hardware: Let me tell you about the build quality, it's fantastic. Rabbit teamed up with Teenage Engineering who is known for making premium electronics, and it really shows. The touchscreen is sharp and works great with the Rabbit OS. Now, the camera won't win any photography awards, but it gets the job done, and I love that you can flip it around for selfies or regular shots. The scroll wheel took me a minute to get used to, but now it feels pretty natural. Put it all together and you've got this awesome little vibrant orange device that feels just as premium as anything else in my arsenal. User Experience & Interface: The Interface is a deep black that almost makes the bezel nonexistent, and there's a cute little Rabbit Assistant that's always ready to help. Sure, it might take you a few minutes to get the hang of navigating everything, but it all looks super slick. Plus, since everything's in dark mode, my eyes aren't getting blasted when I'm using it at night. AI Features: This is where things get really cool. The R1 can handle pretty much anything you throw at it - whether you're asking random questions or trying to find specific info. Thanks to R1’s LAM, it can do all sorts of tasks in the background, like jumping into your Gmail to write emails, or checking your favorite news site, etc.… There's also this neat thing called Teach Mode where you can show your R1 how to do specific tasks, and then it'll remember them forever. You can even use Teach Mode lessons that other people have created. Oh, and don't get me started on the Magic Photos or the R-Cade features - it's pretty wild what we can achieve with AI. Value & Practical Utility: If you're into AI and want to a cute little assistant that can do anything utilizing AI, then this thing is right up your alley. I honestly haven't found anything else that comes close to being such a complete AI companion as the Rabbit R1.

This is easily the most fun I have experienced in an electronic device since 2012, and I'm not exaggerating. Remember back when phones were fun and unique symbols of self expression, such as the Nokia N-Gage, and the T-Mobile Sidekick? It has a definite throwback to those days, but with advancements that far surpass anything from the era. Imagine a device that you can simply talk into, without having to dumb it down for a machine to understand. You can have it listen to all your ramblings and scattered-brained ideas using natural language, and have it figure out exactly the important parts of all the ramblings, summarize it, and then have it go out into the obscure reaches of the internet, and find exactly what you are looking for. The Rabbit R1 does that, and it not only just performs the task, but excels at it. The only way I can express this in a way that makes sense is to share a real life scenario with you. Late one night, my husband and I were talking about shows where the actors improvised. My husband said, "I've always wondered if Sir Patrick Stewart actually improvised that scene in Star Trek TNG." I knew what he was talking about, so I said, "lets find out!" I grabbed the Rabbit R1, pressed the button, and began to ramble my question.... "In Star Trek The Next Generation, there is a scene where a group of people were rescued from a planet and held in the cargo bay. In that scene, Picard says to Riker, 'Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh at the hilarity of it all.' Was this an improvised scene, and in addition to that, what specific episode was that, and from what season?" It then proceeded to confirm that yes, it was indeed an improvised scene. It then gave more background details about the specific scene and how it all came together, the conversation between Picard and Riker, and included the season number and episode number. Our jaws dropped. My husband said, "whelp, I never have to wonder about that again. Question answered!" Now, I could go on and on about how this device is an amazing personal assistant, how it has allowed me to manage my ADHD, process deep dive research projects about ancient civilizations, world religions, and even have it calculate the mass to strength ratio of how big a giant human would have to be to pick up the Trilithon stone in the Ancient Temple of Baalbek in Lebanon... ...but ultimately, until you have one in your hands to see for yourself, you wont know just how much fun this thing is, or even what its capable of, until you try it for yourself. And I've only touched on its capabilities as an answer engine. There is so so much more groundbreaking stuff packed into this little engine that could. Like its incredible generative UI that I set to look like the computer from Jurassic Park, or the Generative Voice that I set up to provide responses that sound like Alan Watts, or the Magic Camera, that uses the built in camera to generate AI images based on real life people, objects, and scenes. If you couldn't tell by now, I freaking love this thing, and could continue going on and on about it. I should probably stop though, this review is already entirely too long. It definitely gets my "Best Buy of the decade" award...if I had one to give.

This is the future of AI, excellent talk to AI Quick and get answers. No more scrolling to the App and booting up a talk session. Push the button and be good to go. Connects to several AI Services to help find the right answer. It can also connect to the web and do activity on the web! I love it best for QUICK AI answers at a push of a button, quick pics and discussion on things I see. Super fun and great deal for all ages!

The Rabbit R1 is a fun and easy way to get started playing with the latest AI tech. I didn't really use AI tools much before I bought this, but Teach Mode and LAM Playground make it easy to use AI on the web. I use my R1 literally everyday to get ideas for new cooking recipes and look up trivia answers. And to top it off, the arcade and magic camera add a cutesy charm that I can't resist. Early Youtube and tech blog reviews had big hate for this little orange gadget, but the updates have made it WAY better.

Enjoy using my rabbit r1 assistant to look up information inquiries, be my video game guide, create magic camera pictures, and help me keep track of my tasks. It’s even gotten me out of a bind with live translation mode to have a conversation with someone who found it super simple to use with no explanation. Menus and controls take some getting used to.

I carry this little device with me everywhere. It's incredibly light, thin, and the battery gets me all day with my usage. I have a Pixel phone, but the interpretation of my intent is far better on this device than Gemini has ever accomplished for me. The answers it provides are insightful, yet concise. I love some of the smaller features too, such as the mini-game it has, the camera features, and more. I don't leave home without it. Bonus: I don't have to pay a subscription, and I'm not capped on prompts!

I love this device! For $200 I couldn’t be happier and every month it gets better and better. Teach mode is the best feature so far and the translator works so well and sounds natural.

The R1 gets a bad wrap, but I think it is due to folks not understanding its uses. I use mine daily as a teacher and football coach. I'd encourage folks to ignore the negative YouTube reviews and find ones that actually show you what you can do with this thing. Siri, ChatGPT, nor Gemini come close.

This is way too limited to be of any real use. It does not have the connections to other devices you would need to get anything useful done. Stick with your phone AI for now

This product is fun! I have had an r1 for several months at this point and, while I was hesitant at first, I am consistently impressed with the frequency of updates from the development team. They are constantly working hard and taking in customer feedback to improve the product. I highly recommend joining the community if you purchase one as the team is very receptive to customer feedback and directly implements our requests on the regular. I have gained a large amount of value and enjoyment simply by chatting with the team and community. In terms of features the team seems to try to make a balance of both fun and useful content, trying to meet all of our demands along the way. In terms of productivity the teach mode beta and LAM playground have been useful for me, allowing me to automate some daily tasks and do some hands free work. There are still more upgrades and features to come to really solidify this feature set but I have no doubt the product will get there soon. Don't sleep on the translation features. Translation mode has been super slick every time I have had to lean on it and I have found that people are much more receptive to speaking with cute little orange box with a rabbit on it than handing a phone around. Sure there are still some things that are a bit rough around the edges but I think if you go into your purchase simply seeking fun and experimentation with a bleeding edge device you will have a great time and if there is anything you are unhappy with the team is extremely receptive to feedback for improvement. Most enjoyable 200$ I have spent in a while.

Unlike traditional AI that just gives you information, LAM actually performs tasks on your behalf, making interactions feel natural and effortless. I’ve used it to pay parking tickets, order Amazon, book flights, and more—all without lifting a finger. Instead of just telling me how to do something, Rabbit R1 does it for me automatically. No more switching between apps, clicking through menus, or copying and pasting details—it understands what I need and takes action instantly.

My kids like exploring AI, asking it questions, identifying objects, learning new languages, creating cool images...and I don't have to worry about the harmful content and social media that come with a phone.

The r1 changed my day to day from the day I got it! For work and play, the r1 has given me the ai companion I wanted for my pocket. The Rabbit team are always hard at work on plenty of updates as well, so lots to look forward to and discover.

I love my rabbit r1! I ask it questions for work stuff, recipes, tv and movie info, etc, take magic photos, set timers, set reminders, control my home lights, add things to my local grocery shopping cart, translate signs, translate other languages, take notes, and the list goes on. Perhaps the best feature is the fact that it's a one time purchase and no subscription required! The ability to customize the user interface and the assistant voice has been really fun as well. The distraction free way this thing works is refreshing!

I love being able to ask r1 any question that comes to mind. r1 has helped me make life a lot more convenient, using features like LAM playground to easily get tickets for a movie when I'm visiting family in Holland (where I'm originally from) and asking questions about when the next train leaves from the station nearest to me. my most favorite thing about this device is that it's an amazing communication tool. it has helped bridge the gap between my partner, who only speaks English and my grandparents who speak Dutch. I have been using my r1 to translate their conversations and where they haven't been able to talk to each other well before, they can now have entire conversations because this. I think that's awesome and so much fun!

It's a great device to have laying around when you need quick responses, but don't want the issue of your phone sucking you in. The latest features allow you to customize the UI and voice on the device using AI. You can also unlock custom rabbits for your home screen. This lets you make the device yours. I do wish they shipped more than orange as a color. R1 gets you access to their proprietary web agents which can get stuff done for you. There's still some quirks they need to work out around bot detection, but it's slightly better than OpenAIs operator for much less the cost.

I got this as a gift in June, and its pretty nice! I like some of the more fun features like the magic camera and LAM Playground. It's a cool intro into ai for the average joe. There are some drawbacks like my original unit started rattling, but support got that cleared up pretty quick.
