I love this thing. Interface and software is VERY easy to use. I have all the custom schedules setup for normal routine watering and then also when I’m overseeing. It was definitely a great investment and replacement of the ancient dinosaur or a device that was installed by the old homeowner. It’s saved LOTS of $ on my water bill so far too.

Works amazing! This device had saved us money on our monthly water bill and has our lawn looking great! It was super easy to setup and install. I pulled down my old programmable unit and had this installed in no time. Word of advice, make sure you grab the outdoor hosting when you buy this one because I made the mistake of installing it and having to redo the entire install when I got the outdoor housing, which included drilling new holes.

This is the 2nd unit I bought and I'm very pleased with it. The app is good but not great in terma of being inuitive when setting up but works well afyer you have everything set up. I enjoy seeing all the days during the fall, winter and spring that it skips and the water savings. I'd guess the unit pays itself off in a few years.

I was shocked at how easy it was to install the unit and have it up and running. Overall the physical install took about 15 minutes, my drill and a little skill. Programming the sprinkler zones to about 3 minutes each, location, name and photo. Scheduling to another 5 minutes. I spent more time mapping out the zones with the easy to satellite view of my house. I really appreciate the integrated weather options, if it's too windy, too wet, or too cold, it will automatically skip a watering until it's ready.

I love the Rachio! I watched YouTube videos on how to remove my old RainBird and how to install the Rachio. I did not have any problems at all and I am in my early seventies. The software is also easy to use. I used industrial strength Velcro to hang it up with instead of drilling more holes. So easy!

I made some changes to my irrigation system to have even coverage all over my property. I decided it was time to get a better controller as well. I previously used an Orbit B Hyve controller. It was nice that it was wi-fi connected, but it was not as smart as the Rachio with weather prediction and delaying watering. The interface was clunky and difficult to use.
In CT we have had a very dry summer. There were quite a few days where the forecast showed thunderstorms and showers, but the rain never came. B Hyve would skip watering those days, and of course the lawn suffered. Rachio does rain delay intelligently... if the forecast changes then it will modify the rain delay so the lawn still gets the watering it needs.
The app is very easy to use and to map out the yard with. If you fully program all the details for each zone, Rachio is able to intelligently schedule watering times and duration based on that information. Also love the water hammer reducing feature which opens the next zone just before the previous closes. We have very high water pressure in our town.

As I only had to remove and replace my old controller with this one, the setup was really easy, especially considering I don't consider myself a handyman. It's worked really great so far. I thought I would be using the app a lot more, but it's really been set-it-and-forget-it since day one.
I installed it in my garage which can get really warm in the summer and cold in the winter so I am very curious to see how it will hold up in the elements. So far so good, though.

Yes it’s very good . You can control the zones directly from your phone with a schedule . The device can skip when it rains. I love it . Full control . Start runs if you figured you needed more water and you can pause runs as needed . Very easy to install . Money well spent no regrets . Stays connected to WiFi and syncs back easily with a WiFi reset. I love it.

Easy setup with a neat zone mapping tool. Had an issue finding clear documentation on how to add my 3rd party rain sensor, but that is not the fault of Rachio. I had it up and running within an hour of unboxing. Highly recommend it.

When my old reliable orbit box started to wig out and miss zones i was definitely leary going into a new fangled wifi sprinkler system. Nerverless, this new sprinkler box has so far lived up to the hyoe. It was so easy to install, maybe 15-20 minutes once I got a good picture of my old wiring. I took down the old box, used the provided template to drill some new holes, and put up the new one. Followed the wiring, pkugged it in, loaded the new app, and prayed for the best. The app was extremely easy to folllow and once you set the location, the weather report tie in is extremely cool. I set my schedule for even day watering, disabled the three zones out of 8 that I wasn't using and customized each zone to a recommended setting. I even added pictures of each zone to the app. The weathet assist automatically adusts any settings I put in anyway, and even skips watering based on predetermined thresholds like rain, windspeed and temperature which you can also adjust. So far, the product is awesome and it keeos a history of everytime it waters. Very happy with my decision to switch to this new system.

I purchased this product so that I could easily monitor and schedule the days that I water my lawn. In Michigan we never know when we are going to get rain. Sometimes it's few and far between and other days it will happen for multiple days consecutively. The install for this was very easy (just take a picture of current set up before you disconnect all of your wires). Setting up everything through the app took a while but that is only because it asks for a lot of details that helps it create a schedule. Once you program what you want (or even what it recommends) you just sit back and let it do the work for you. I have had it installed for about a little over a week. I have it set to water every other day. So far, it has only watered my lawn once and canceled the watering on three other days because it predicted rain. All three days that it cancelled, we ended up getting rain so it saved me the water and the money. The app is very user friendly and make it easy to check the schedule make adjustments and see how much time and water that you saved. This was well worth the investment.

I really love this system. It took me about 30 min to install and set up and now I just ignore it. It will skip watering if it rains. It will adjust days based on the temperature. I can look at my phone to see when it waters and how much it has watered this month. The zones are detailed on what is in them and what the soil is like then it tells you how much water it needs. It waters in spurts to cut down on runoff.

This is the controller to get for tech lovers. Even for those that aren’t techy but have Wi-Fi and just love to save water and/or money, this is it. I live in Florida which rains every summer afternooon, and it’s nice to have this thing skip scheduled runs based off of local weather forecast rather than a rain sensor. The rain sensor wasn’t an option for me cuz that’s just another thing that can collect standing water and attract mosquitos. It predicts how many inches of rain your lawn has gotten and will skip runs if it passes the threshold you set. Set up is very easy. You can name each zone, take a picture of each zone, and describe whether it’s mostly shrubs, trees or lawn and what type of soil you have etc. It asked a lot more details than I even cared to wonder about. Once set up is complete, you can practically forget about changing your irrigation schedule. I have already noticed a 20% reduction in water usage and it hasn’t even been a full month since I’ve used this.

Great controller that was easy to install and program. The phone app gives me a lot of control over my system. I am not using weather intelligence even though the weather station is close by. This summer is very hot and weather intelligence not reliable. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this controller.

This is one of the best products I've invested in. Installing was super easy, but one should be prepared with all the tools and plan out before just diving into installation process. Specifically location, mounting it on a stud or dry wall, indoor/outdoor. It took about 30 minutes to remove the old unit and install new unit. Setting up took another 20 minutes on phone app and testing another 5 min. All in all it was a breeze, already running for days now and no issues. I would definitely recommend this product, their app is also easy to use, one has to get used to it. I am hoping to save a bunch on water bill, let's see how it performs, I will update once I have it running for few months in Spring.

My house runs on IoT devices. I can now ask Alexa to start my sprinkler system.
But best of all, this is (almost) completely auto-pilot. I input my landscape zones, map out my zones, provide details of sprinkler placement, type of sprinkler and location. This device takes care of the rest!
If it forecasts rain in the next 24hrs, it skips or moves the water schedule.
You have the ultimate flexibility!

This is the best controller ever. Very easy and no silly confusing dials. I control everything through my phone and it couldn't be easier. I can turn them on and off on the fly and easily schedule all the zones. In the past, I have tried to use other controllers and found them clunky and hard to program. The Rachio is by far the best, easiest and most reliable.
