Without this item it is very difficult to prepare the GPS for use. You need this base plate to hold up the GPS until you can get it installed on your vehicle window. Also need it if you want to make the GPS more mobile.

I went through 3 other types of holders for my GPS and all have me problems. Then I bought this pad and its perfect, does not move around or leavesticky residue on the service if moved to another location. It's a keeper for me.

My explorer has a spot in the dash where it indents so I needed something that would allow my gps to clear the top of that, this is perfect, it fits perfectly and the bottom of my gps clears the top of the little indent.

I needed something to hold my phone or iPod in the car to comply with new laws. Vent clips suck. Leather dash makes suction clips inoperable. This pad solved my problems.

This is a good option for mounting the Dryve 7. I never liked the suction cup type mounts as they will fail during cold weather when the windshield warms up. This is the next best thing to a permanent install.

Purchasing this bean bag dash pad was like buying an extra pair of hands. It made using my Rand McNally GPS alot easier and even more so for viewing, on my dash, while traveling.

It's a nice mount with one major exception. If the windshield mount that comes with your gps unit isn't tall enough, there won't be enough clearance for the unit to sit properly. The weighted padding walls stick up a fair amount and can block the correct positioning of your unit. Perhaps it's best to buy this only if you have a Rand McNally GPS unit. I have a Magellan, and it's a no go.

We love this little dash beanbag. It allows us to use our dash cam in both our car and our RV, without attaching it to the dash with “sticky stuff”.

This dash pad is exactly what I wanted. It sits on the dash and both the driver and passenger can see the directions.

It worked, but the "beans" are too tall and does not clear my tom tom. Hard to get around power button since it is too tall. Made well.

I had to return GPS device because it died after 2 days, but this pad was awesome. I would have kept it, but it doesn't work with other devices.

Although it's not required. I highly recommend it . It keeps your hands free and it keep it from sliding

This product is great, however did not work well in my 2012 Mazda 3 due to the dashboard setup

This product is a great alternative to a window mount. It stays in place on your dashboard even if you make a sudden stop

Ended up putting on windshield it secured the unit better
