I never saw a hand held vacuum like this before. As I read the description, I knew I wanted to have this. We had a visit from my Son and daughter-in-law who brought their two dogs. Of course there was hair from the dogs on the couches. When they left I took our regular vacuum and thoroughly cleaned the couches. They looked perfectly clean. Take a look at what this Star Trek looking vacuum picked up after I already thought the couches looked great. Wow. I have also used this on our bed, comforter and pillows. Also Wow. Got it on the Deal of the Day at a great price. I highly recommend it!

A Unique Vacuum For Your Furniture

This is kind of a niche product for a part of the house I think most people completely overlook, their furniture/bed/tabletops. Or maybe that is just me. It comes with some unique features that I normally don’t see in a vacuum cleaner such as steamless heat technology, UV+ sanitizing feature, and Pulsating Brush. All of these features lead to a singular purpose to eliminate dust mites, pollen, pet dander, allergens, viruses, and bacteria from continuing to plague your couches, pillows, beds, countertops and other furniture while actively avoiding the spread of it by utilizing the PureAir HEPA filtration and AllergenLock. If you are someone who suffers from allergies this may be worth looking into as it certainly improved mine and I only suffer from them mildly.
BUILD QUALITY/FEATURES/OVERVIEW:
The entire device is well put together and weighs a total of 4.6 lbs. With it being a handheld vacuum, I originally thought it was wireless which is incorrect on my part. It uses a 16.4 feet cord which is easy to manipulate and won’t get caught under the bottom of the device due to the side design (see picture). The very front of the device has some markings to show you where the brush and light are going to cover as the width of device is more than it cleans.
It uses a bagless design which is the tiny circle that you see on the top of the device. It takes some force to pull it out and put back in which is nice with it being tight fitting would make me assume it isn’t letting stuff out and alludes to the AllergenLock marketing. Additionally, this bag (for lack of better terminology) also has a second lock that you can pull out to empty the device. They recommend cleaning this every time with water and is reusable. Obviously ensure that it is fully dry before reinserting back into the vacuum. As it isn’t water related.
On the bottom of the device going from the top to the bottom you have your UV sensor, the “Pulsating Brush”, and then UV bulb. Both of which can be removed relatively easy if needed. The sensor will automatically turn off the UV light (for safety reasons) when it is lifted from a surface. There are also two LED’s on the top of the device on either side of the handle/filter that light up when the UV+ light is on and working so you can have some peace of mind (see picture).
Below that you have your steamless heat technology port where the hot air blows out. You can feel the heat on the surface after going over it a few times, so it works. There is also an LED above the power buttons that notifies you it is on. It will blink while it is heating up and then remain solid when there (see picture). They report it can take up to 30 seconds to heat up but for me it was less than that. If you are going from surface to surface it stays heated for some time so you don’t have to wait every time. The one downside to this is that they say you can only use the device for up to 30 continuous minutes to prevent overheating from occurring. I found that when cleaning multiple things at once that I didn’t run into this thirty-minute cap because it had time to cool off during switching so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
On the very bottom you have the port for the HEPA filter which is extremely easy to replace when needed. Also, shown in the pictures.
Everything fells premium by coming across as solid and well put together. There is no creaking, rattling, or bending. Some may be concerned about the 4.6 lbs. but keep in mind that when using this vacuum, it will be placed on furniture or similar which will take all the weight and then you just push or pull it along which comes across as being very very smooth. The handle is comfortable and makes that very easy. The device is quite loud though.
HOW WELL IT WORKS:
As previously mentioned operability of this vacuum is easy and straightforward, and it is well built. I found that it did a good job at cleaning my mattress and pillows. But I thought it would pick more debris than it did. Especially, on my mousepad. This is either because A. I’m cleaner than I thought, B. That what it did pick up is a lot as I have no frame of reference, C. It didn’t do a good job. Or D. that what it did do isn’t noticeable to the naked human eye. Which knowing that this vacuum is hitting microscopic things would make a lot of sense. I can’t claim it does everything they report it does but there is research you can check as other reviews have mentioned. But what I have noticed is that after cleaning my bed and pillow that the allergies that I was having are nearly resolved without changing anything else. So, I would probably say it’s a combination of A, B, and D. But, I’ll let you decide which one(s) you think it is or if it is worth the money or not.

Best gadget for dust mites!!!
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Anyone with dust might allergies MUST have this gadget in their home. No question about it.
Dust might allergies in our home are one of the worst and top allergens causing a myriad of misery.
Let me tell you a little bit about our new best friend...effortlessly glides across the bed and pillows...just like it says, almost like an ironing board. You can see instantly the dust, skin sheddings collecting in the container that houses them. On dark sheets which I tried it on first, you can see the difference as you pass the vacuum over it...the sheets look like they were just washed. The heat dispersed is just enough so that the sheets aren’t getting super hot.
There are two light indicators on top of the vacuum, on either side of the collection cup....if by any chance you lift the vacuum or it doesn’t remain intact or flat with the surface you are vacuuming, the two lights will turn off to indicate the UV light underneath has turned itself off for your safety. It automatically turns back on the minute full contact has been made with another surface you are vacuuming.
The vacuum sound (decibels) is much lower than a regular vacuum which is great because I have sensitive ears and this was a more pleasant experience.
I would say it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. The cord is partially attached to the side of the vacuum so it doesn’t interfere with the back and forward movement...genius whomever thought of that little aspect.
The unit powers up quickly and within 30 seconds the heat sanitizing feature is ready. If you use for 30 minutes without interruption, the unit will shut down for your safety. It will resume again afterwards.
The recommended areas to vacuum more frequently are the head and feet of the bed because those areas tend to harbor more dust mites. Also recommend is that at first you work more often on reducing the dust mite load and then use for less time but to upkeep all the efforts you put in prior.
I’ve included pictures so you can see the actual dust, skin sheddings collected by the vacuum.
Getting a good sleep, where you can REDUCE, but not completely eliminate dust mites from interfering with a good night sleep or from causing a massive allergy load come morning is something this device can help with.
One of doctors is waiting on our review of the product after I mentioned we had this prize in our home. She said she’d buy such a device to help alleviate her usual morning allergy overload to dust mites. I guess she’ll be a customer very soon.
It’s highly recommended you remove the collection cup and submerge in water so as not to release dust mites/particles back into the air. Once you submerge it, the dust will clump up and you can GENTLY scoop it with a brush or clean sponge (not included). Allow to air dry completely, away from sun and heat and then replace back into the unit. Ensure to separate the two pieces housing the dust to allow for proper drying, otherwise any moisture left in the cup/filter may contribute to malfunction of the unit.
Follow the instructions in the pamphlet to clean the UV light tube and the brush so that you don’t cause damage. Treat the unit as recommended so it will retain a longer life/use.
I would highly recommend all allergy doctors especially, to recommend this product to their patients, but I highly recommend to any and all consumers bothered by dust/allergic to dust mites.
I’d love to see a vacuum for the floor with same technology for those with rugs/carpeting.

Raycop Rs Pro I gotta say I was totally impressed with the quality of the product. The product was very well packed and it comes with a manual that is very easy to follow. This thing was so simple that it was ready to use right out of the box. Of course this product is not wireless so it has to be connected directly to the power, that being said the cable is pretty long. This vacuum is not heavy at all compared to its size. This is not just a regular handheld vac, this one uses steamless heat so you don't need to add water and has a UV light on the bottom that is used to kill allergens.
I cleaned some of my high chairs and I was able to see all the dust getting trapped in the filter. After I was done with those chairs I never realized how dirty they were and I usually vacuum them using a rainbow vac. I could honestly tell the difference after I cleaned with this vacuum. I can tell you that this thing really works to clean your chairs and sofas leaving them like brand new. You can also clean your small rugs too if you don't mind being on your knees for a bit, this is also great for cars with cloth seats.
This was the first time I used a vacuum like this and I have to say I was impressed. I just wished It was wireless. Over all this vac those was it was intended for and on top of that is not a one time use as most of the parts are replaceable such as the UV light. In the box you get the vac and the manual.

Invaluable in Helping Control Asthma & Allergies!!
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
As somebody who has suffered from allergies and asthma all of their life, this product really caught my attention. Before being introduced to this product, I had never really thought about dust mites or even really knew that they truly existed. It wasn't until I researched the topic that I discovered that not only are they microscopic pests that are not visible to the eye, but that they also feed on flakes of dead skin and dander that are shed by people and pets. As someone who also has eczema, I suffer from severely dry skin that sheds. Over the years I've learned to control my asthma by discovering what triggers it in the first place; allergies. If I can control my allergies, I can manage to control most of my asthma. I was extremely excited to come accross a product that could potentially help get rid of pesky allergen causing dustmites where I sleep.
This product couldn't have come at a better time as I've been suffering from spring allergies lately. The allergies have flared up my asthma and caused me to have to use my Qvar and Albuterol inhaler a lot more frequently. I've been using the Raycop UV+ Sanitizer for the past week and a half and it has made a significant difference. In order to greatly reduce the dust mite population in your fabrics, Raycop recommends frequently using the vacuum in the first weeks, then using it weekly to maintain low allergen levels in your fabrics. In the past week and a half, I've been using it almost daily. The first time I did a thorough cleaning by sanitizing my mattress, comforter, sheets, pillows, pillow shams, and sofas. Now I easily maintain the area where I sleep by spending less than 5 minutes vacuuming my bedding. It has led to virtually no allergies and has practically eliminated all of my sneezing.
This Raycop vac is incredibly easy to use. Just plug it in, power it on, and wait for the LED to turn a solid yellow. Then you pretty much just pass it over your fabrics as if you were ironing clothes. I recommend going in slow back and forth motions to allow enough UV light exposure and suction to thoroughly sanitize your fabrics. As someone who cleans their home pretty frequently, I was disgusted (and very surprised!) by the amount of dirt, debris, and dust that the Raycop vac picked up (see pictures). The cord is also generously long extending to about 16 feet so you shouldnt have much issues with distance. I was impressed to see that Raycop incorporated a safety feature that turns the UV light off when you lift up the vac from a surface in order to protect yourself, kids, and pets from being exposed to it.
The Raycop RS Pro Vac seems to be very well built but only time will tell as I will be using this thing at least weekly. Maintenance is extremely simple. After you notice a build up of dust or debris on the dust box and dust box filter, you just take it out and run it under water. Allow it to completly dry and it's ready to use again. The micro HEPA filter on the unit is good for about 60 hours (about one year if used every day for 10 minutes). There is a replacement alert chime that will sound when it's time to replace the filter. I really cant find any cons to this unit just because of how easy it is to use and the massive benefits that it provides to my health. I will be incorporating this allergen vac into my weekly house cleaning routine. The only thing that could possibly make this product better is a wireless version. However, I personally prefer having a wired version because a wireless version would likely mean a weaker motor or being limited on the amount of time I have to vacuum (the largest disadvantage). I love that I can just plug it in and take however long I need to clean. On that note though, be warned that the motor does have an auto-shut off feature. After 30 minutes of continued use, the vac will enter a standby mode in order to prevent the motor from over heating. Since I clean in quick 5-10 minute intervals (powering the vac on and off as I move to different fabrics), this has never been an issue. Overall, this vac easily gets 5 stars from me. There just isn't a price I can put on improving my health since I'm so sensitive to allergies and the adverse effect it has on my asthma. If you're someone like me that suffers from allergies or asthma, or you just want to ensure that youre free of dust mites on your fabrics, this vac is absolutely worth it.

I am a member of Best Buy’s Technical Insider Network, TIN for short. Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews.
The RAYCOP RS Pro UV+ Handheld Allergen Vacuum is a unique combination of a handheld vacuum and clothing iron. The body of the device resembles a diamond shaped robo-vacuum with a long handle running half the length of the device. This vacuum is uniquely designed to clean your mattress and pillows. It is designed to collect dust, dead skin, dust mites, and other contaminates that make it into your bedding while it sanitizes using heat and UV light.
Does it work?
I change my sheets, blankets, and pillowcases every weekend. I do not spend much time in bed. I close my eyes at bedtime and, what seems like seconds later, its morning. How much of a mess can I make just laying there all night? And, like you, I am more concerned with flies and mosquitoes buzzing around my head at night than I am about the millions of microscopic bugs feasting on my dead skin cells while I sleep. Occasionally, I will use my vacuum cleaner on my mattress. But, most household vacuums are designed for floors, furniture, and pet hair removal. The RS Pro is designed specifically to clean and sanitize your mattress and pillows. The attached photos are images of the dust box after cleaning my mattress and after cleaning my pillows. What looks like a white screen is naturally a black screen with wider holes. Yeah, gross.
Just for kicks, I used the RS Pro on a towel that my cat has slept on for the last two weeks. It is a tiny one foot by one foot square. I collected enough hair and dander to prompt me to clean the dust box. So, yes, I would say this works.
Does this remove and kill dust mites?
I have no way to test dust mite concentrations before or after using the RS Pro. I also cannot tell you how many dust mites, or the concentration of their dander, I captured in the RS Pro. I can tell you that that UV light and heat sanitize. And the RS Pro does both. The UV light is located directly behind the brushes and vacuum opening. There are air vents that blast the mattress and pillows located towards the back of the RS Pro. The UV light auto shuts off when the unit detects it has been removed from your cleaning surface. I put my hand under the hot air blower. It is not air drier hot but it does get hot. The instructions indicate that you should slowly move the Pro RS slowly back and forth across your cleaning surface. And they mean slowly. If you give your cleaning surface the once over, like you were pushing a floor vacuum, then you will miss out on all the benefits the Pro RS purports. So, functionally, the RS Pro does what it says it does.
Use:
Using the RS Pro is super easy. I must give a big shout out to whomever wrote the RS Pro user’s manual. Usually, with devices like these, you get a quick setup card, a URL to the companies website, and maybe a URL to the product user’s guide in micro print. Half the time there is no user’s manual to speak of. The RS Pro’s user’s guide is well organized, thought out, full of easy-to-follow pictures, and accessible for pretty much anyone. The guide shows how to clean your mattress and pillows. It also guides you to where you should focus your attention: head and foot positions. The manual clearly shows how to remove and clean the filters, clean the roller, and replace the UV Light. The manual is exclusively written in English. You will want to check with the manufacture’s website for additional languages.
The RS Pro is heavy for its size. Most of the weight is at the front of the unit. I did not find the weight an issue. There are two fins on the front bottom of the unit to keep it up off the mattress. There is also a wheel at the back of the unit to facilitate easy movement across the mattress. The unit is designed to allow for your pushing force to go into this wheel. My wife did comment on the weight being a factor for her. She could see her arm or back getting tired if she had a large mattress or a lot of pillows to clean. Otherwise, weight was not an issue.
My only other issue with the unit is the placement of the power button. It is located at the top of the handle. This forces me to keep my thumb to the side of the handle where I have less control over my grip and control over the unit. I must bend my thumb at the knuckle if I want to keep my hand in the optimal position. But, if I shift my grip, or lower my thumb to increase my control, then I risk shutting off the unit. I would have preferred the power button be located somewhere else on the casing so that I would not have to modify my grip when operating the RS Pro.
Maintenance and care:
You will clean the dust box every time you use this RS Pro. The dust box is easily removed from the RS Pro by pulling it straight up. The Micro HEPA filter is hidden behind a small door on the rear bottom of the RS Pro. And the filter is easy to pull out. The protective grill, roller, an UV lights are easy to access, remove, and service. The maintenance and care of the RS Pro is well thought out and accessible for anyone willing to take a moment to review the easy-to-follow instructions in the manual.
I would have liked to have seen the including of cleaning brushes. The instruction manual recommends cleaning the filter in the dust box with a toothbrush and the UV Light cover with another kind of specialized brush or cloth. It would have been nice if they included the optimal tools instead of leaving me to guess if a soft toothbrush is better or worse than a stiff bristled toothbrush. Are they both equally suited or am I risking something using one over the other?
Final thoughts:
Overall, I am satisfied with the RAYCOP RS Pro. It does pull a lot of nasty material out of my mattress and pillows. I was grossed-out when I saw what I was sleeping in every night. UV Light kills bacteria and other micro-organisms that do not tolerate UV Light. And the heat kills everything else. The proof is in the dust box. I have a few minor issues with the RS Pro that I think RAYCOP can fix in a future revision of their product. My final thought is I think I found a suitable replacement to using my regular vacuum to clean my mattress and pillows.

I frequently change my bed linen and vacuum the mattress. I thought I was doing a pretty good job of keeping the bed clean, so I was very surprised by what I saw in the filter of this Raycop RS vacuum after first use. There was a ton of dust, debris and general nastiness. The RS quickly revealed just how ineffective my frequent cleanings actually were. The RS vacuum isn’t overly loud and it easily vacuums across sheets, comforters, blankets, mattresses and mattress covers. We sanitize our linens in the washer but up until now had no option to sanitize the mattress aside from spraying it with a disinfectant. Like the spray disinfectant, the RS helps to sanitize the mattress against allergens, germs and dust mites. The entire bed feels cleaner knowing everything is now both much cleaner and sanitized. The heat sanitizer is safe on all of our bedding surfaces and feels perfectly safe on our delicate covers and foam mattress. The RS was easy and ready to use right out of the box. No setup is required, just plug and go. It’s also easy to disassemble for cleaning and maintenance. I have terrible sinus and allergy issues and have already noticed some improvement in sinus congestion after a few days of use.

A serious germ killing machine!

The Raycop RS Pro may have a comical look, but it combines a 1-2 punch that both kills bacteria, viruses, dust mites, and sucks them up with a fine bristled brush. Upon first glance, I thought it looked like a starship from star trek. But starting it, hearing the motor spool up and the UV light go on, told me this thing means business. I've used it on a mattress and on throw pillows and it doesn't look like it's picking up anything, but looking at the dust cup tells me it's extracting unseen particles that only after accumulating do you see the mesh filter turning greyish. I even tried using a pet brush attachment on our vacuum for our dog's bed which sucked up a lot of fine hairs. I then went over the same areas with the Raycop, and lo and behold, unseen particulate filled the mesh filter once again. It both kills germs and viruses according to the manufacturer using hot air and a UV light which are proven ways and to include both on this unit ensures a more effective cleaning of fabric surfaces than either one alone. The only negative issue I have is that there is nowhere to wrap the long cord aside from the strap attached to it, so not very convenient. Also the dust cup cleaning requirements suggest submerging it underwater prior to taking apart to prevent particulate from escaping into the air; it's quite thorough, but tedious. That said, this will be part of our cleaning regimen every time we wash the sheets.

Works well, it does its job but don’t think it’s built to last. I use it daily for towels, sheets, clothing and after a few months now it’s showing a red light, that won’t go away (which Im going to bring in since I have the protection plan) Other than it giving up on me, it’s suction is there the light is powerful and using the device doesn’t really mess with the wrist a lot. You’ll see results, especially on your bed & pillow oh and them towels

Being the parent of a 10 month old that loves to crawl around our house, I decided to give the Raycop RS Pro a try. The concept of having the sanitization power of both UV and heat was obviously incredibly appealing. Raycop very clearly targets bedding sanitization as the primary use case for the RS Pro. I honestly wish I had these features in a full sized vacuum to use all over the house. Overall, it's painlessly simple to use; you plug it in, hit the power button, and go on your way. Two blue lights on top inform you when the UV lamp is running, and the "heat sanitization" light above the power button indicates when the heat sanitizer has kicked in. This couldn't be more simple to use.
The main downside (which, again, is expected given how Raycop positions this vacuum) is that it's not all that versatile for a couple of reasons. The ergonomics aren't great; it's a fairly large unit for how small the vacuuming track is, and it's difficult to get close to surfaces or into corners. The dustbin is diminutively small, also. Anyone hoping to use this thing for more than cleaning up furniture or bedding will be disappointed. Finally, I had an issue where the UV lamp wouldn't say activated on a certain type of textured floor mat (which has somewhat deep grooves, making the Raycop sensor look like it was not on a surface). Not a big deal.
Overall, anyone looking for a vacuum that has the ability to truly sanitize surfaces, especially bedding, should give the RS Pro a shot. Just don't expect to vacuum your floors with it.

Good Sanitizing Vacuum Maybe not for Average Home

The Raycop UV+ Allergen Vacuum is handheld vacuum cleaner with UV sanitization. It's primary use is targeted for cleaning surfaces that you contact on a day to day basis whose cleanliness is more critical - think chairs, beds, and even things like clothes or yoga mats. Instead of using a rotating brush and bristles to agitate a surface, it sort of vibrates the surface it's placed on. As you can imagine, this is better for cloth sufraces that are relatively smooth and wouldn't work as well for carpet - though maybe could be good for hardwood floors (though being handheld, would be a pain and defeat the purpose if you're crawling along the floor to clean it).
I focused on chairs, beds, and clothes. In a house with young children, our living room and dining room see some sort of cleaning on a daily basis. Usually the floors are vacuumed and table and chairs wiped down. We may shake out dining room chairs towards the floor prior to vacuuming but the living room chairs/sectional don't see as much action. I found the Raycop did ok cleaning off the dining table and chairs. I think I'd still want to wipe those down and perhaps even shake the chairs myself to agitate and help get crumps around the backs and edges. While it certainly picked things up, I'm not sure it buys me much since there are other cleaning that need to occur. It's good to know there's UV sanitization going on, especially on the surfaces that my family eats from, though I feel just a handheld UV sanitizer may be better.
The living room is where my first set of tests showed this vacuumn had promise. It pulled a suprising amount of debris from the sectional, even though the seating and pillow surfaces looked ok. Given that these are harder to move around and clean, the Raycop is definitely a much better one stop solution to cleaning them. And as the sectional and pillow are larger, regular surfaces, its much easier to get good coverage and know that once I've done a few passes, things are clean.
This was mirrored when I tested things out on our bed. Again, it pulls some dirt and dust from the sheets - though I found making sure things were tucked in helped that process go smoothly. With clothes, this works better with items that are on hangers. You can use one hand with the vacuum while another provides gentle pressure on the hanger to stretch out and hold your clothes. You'd want to have things lying on a smooth surface. Either the bed you just cleaned or a table. It seemed pointless with clothes that are folded. You'd pretty much end up having to unfold them then use the vacuum's weight to hold it down as you do the vacuum pass. I think for beds this is again useful. Most clothes, excepting jeans, are on a cycle where they are washed relatively soon after use. The bedsheets however can go a week or two (kids sheets more often). So something like this, to vacuum and sanitize is useful for those. For clothing, I feel unless one is really worried about bacterial spread in the home, your normal washing schedule is likely sufficient to keep things clean, and when your clothes are not, they're likely getting washed before next wear.
The vacuum itself is relatively loud, given the size and way it's to be used. The filter is relatively small, though for the surface area you'd cover, you will "fill" it at about the same runtime as running a regular vacuum. I think the concept is good and this can be pretty useful for a family with allergies or in an area with a lot of allergerns - maybe pollen or something else that has an immediate impact on your family's health. For me, while I appreciated being able to better clean the living room sectional and pillows, I feel this could be replicated (aside from the UV sanitization) with an appropriate attachment for my regular vacuum. This boasts a HEPA filter, but so does my vacuum, so the Raycop isn't providing a big filtration difference compared to a regular vacuum.
For this, I feel a need to explain my rating. I'm giving 4 stars, because this does the job it's designed for well. Maybe a bit noisy, but that gives you the suction power you'd want in a smaller handheld device. But for a typical family, I wouldn't really recommend it. For me, I'm not sure I'd actually use it enough to be worthwhile. Its also not a lifetime filter so I think this really points to it being useful for someone who has an allergen/cleaning requirement that's critical for health.

The RAYCOP - RS Pro UV+ will be a breath of fresh air for anyone suffering with bedding allergy issues or anyone else looking for a new level of comfort.
Straight away I'd like mention that fact that Raycorp included an actual, full-sized user manual. Surely, everyone is is capable of downloading a PDF, online sourced manual but having one that is well constructed and that you can hold in your hand is a breath of fresh air in and of itself.
Setting up the RAYCOP - RS Pro UV+ is as easy as a simple unboxing. Once plugged in, you need not wait until the heat sanitization indicator to stops flashing. It will after approx. 30 seconds but there's really no reason to wait since the objective here is to vacuum & sanitize - and you'll be retracing the areas needing cleaning repeatedly anyway; multiple times.
The unit is light and easy to maneuver over the targeted fabric. Glide is smooth. All the function indicators are strategically positioned and intuitive to understand, even if you skip reading the manual. The power cord is super long and should provide plenty of reach & convenience in use. The unit is moderately loud but I wouldn't call it horrible or unbearable. Definitely quieter and smoother in sound quality compared o many other basic hand vacs.
The suction is well balanced and doesn't grab so hard that you feel as though you're fighting the resistance. So kudos to Raycorp for that. It can get more than just warm on the bottom of the unit after prolonged use. So just pay attention.
For those of you like us, you most likely changing your bedding on a weekly basis, so the process of adapting to performing an additional step in the 'making of your bed' will be well worth the effort. In my humble opinion, any one with allergy issues will essentially complete their home ecosystem owning a RAYCOP - RS Pro UV+ along with high efficiency room air purifier. With these two tools and regular washing/changing of bedding, comfort and cleanliness where you sleep should reach a level never experienced before.
Our furniture in the living areas is all leather based so I have no experience in how this appliance performs on something like a more traditional, cloth couch. Apart from suede, I see no benefit to using this device on those types of smooth surfaces otherwise maintained with appropriate light-duty wiping with more homeopathic solutions. But on a fabric mattress protector and/or the actual mattress, the RAYCOP - RS Pro UV+ is logical choice for sleeping in peace & comfort.
Cost of ownership on a yearly basis seems reasonable for what this thing does & can do. The only real nits I can come up with is that the inside of the handle is hard plastic and would benefit with a little bit of cushioning... with a touch of rubber as an example. I also think at the price point, Raycorp should have included a cleaning tool. But that's it! Other than a upgrade to a comfort grip and the inclusion of a cleaning brush, this thing is clearly a winner in all other aspects.
Pros:
Lightweight and easily maneuverable
Logical & intuitive LED status indicators
Clear view window into the dust box
Super long power cord
Provides good suction without ever putting up a fight
Easy to clean & maintain
(Not Really) Cons:
Could benefit from a comfort grip
Would be nice if it came with a cleaning tool/brush at this price point

I wasn’t sure if this actually would do better than my standard vac at cleaning the surfaces in my home. But, I used it to clean the top of a cloth ottoman that sits near a window and was surprised at home much dirt/dust came off of a few passes. Now, I literally want to take this over all of my furniture to see what else is hiding.
Device is solid. Feels well made and sturdy and maneuverability is great. There was no stalling of drag across the surfaces I tested. All pieces are easy to clean and empty and the Hepa filter is easy to replace once needed.
Fair warning, it is fairly loud, but with all that’s going on at once, that’s to be expected.
This model has the UV and the heated sanitizing, a very welcome feature for killing extra things unseen. The heater warms up with seconds. Hit the on switch, wait 10-20 seconds, and off you go!
Our home gets fairly dusty, and we usually only grab the dust we can visually spot, this will fill in the cleaning gaps of the dust/mites we can’t. Another great tool towards a cleaner home.

This house has pets, dust, and allergies. This clever vacuum seems to help. However, it isn't the most convenient tool, seems to have some design issues, and the instructions leave something to be desired. It's helpful, but maybe not as helpful as it could be.
The good:
Powerful suction, heat, and UV really does seem to cut down on allergies, especially in bed. Dust and sneezing are minimized!
It's easy to clean and maintain.
Starts right out of the box.
The not so good:
It is corded and heavy enough to be a bit clumsy.
The UV light, heat vent, and vacuum inlet all don't stretch across the vacuum cleaner. That means that there will be a couple inches that can't be cleaned if you're trying to treat something next to a solid surface.
The instructions don't describe how to use the vacuum. It would be great to know if the heat and UV light need to stay in one area for a particular amount of time to be effective against dust mites. My general process is to go over an area a number of times pretty quickly, but the system might work better if I go slowly a few times (or maybe once). It doesn't say and I wish it would.
All in all, it does help. I'd recommend it with reservations. If you have allergies, I'd recommend it with fewer reservations.

The unit is fairly light and easy to use once you read the manual for tips and take your time. I gave it 4 stars because of the high cost of the consumables from the uv bulb, filters and brush roller. Per the manual these should be replaced yearly and cost range on the manufacturer’s website from $20-$34.
Regardless the unit has very good suction and I trust the uv light is doing its job of killing virus and bacteria. I was surprised at the amount of dust it collected from the foot and head of my beds and pillows. I wish it had a smaller attachment for getting into deep crevices of my sofa cushions and other crevice areas.
Overall satisfied with the product. I have no real allergies but my spouse does and she seems to be getting less sneezing or irritation overall, so a plus.
On the manufacturer’s website are several PDFs on claims and their test results on the efficiency of their products for those interested on the veracity of their claims.
