This mouse was my first experience with a Razer peripheral aside from typing/gaming a small bit on my friend's Blackwidow mechanical keyboard (which was okay and seemed to have decent tactile switches, but felt a little cheap in the build department). This mouse impressed me far more than the keyboard did. It is lightweight but not cheap feeling. Very responsive and accurate without any unintentional double-clicks or awkward moments during use. I never experienced any dropped connection issues or anything of that sort, and the battery life seems great. I did end up returning the product, but only due to my coming into possession of my brother's old Deathadder Elite (wired). I am writing this review today because I think I am going to be picking up another Basilisk X. While the Deathadder has been an impressive mouse itself as well, I am trying to lessen the amount of cords incorporated into my desk setup. The Logitech mice seem to be all the rage right now, particularly the g302 I believe it's called, but I already know what I am going to be getting when going into buying another model of the Basilisk. That, and Logitech as a company has gained some distrust from myself, someone who has owned many Logitech peripherals. Razer, on the other hand, seems to be improving each new generation of releases they come out with lately. The Basilisk X is a great mouse both for regular usage and gaming. Comfortable, just the right size for me, performs just as well as I need a mouse to perform, and is very well-built. It has a more-than-adequate feature set and spec sheet for my particular use case and just feels right in my hand when in use. I look forward to owning one again!

I bought one for my kid like 6 months ago. Heard no complaints. Top button controls dpi which is great while in a game or app. No need to switch to settings. It was easy to setup. Recently my PC mouse stopped working and I automatically went to buy this one. Great price for what you get. Fantastic performance. It seems a little cheaper plastic, but it's not a $100 mouse. The thumb part is rubbery and has a decent grip which I like. Sensitivity switch is great! I use it via BT and it's been pretty smooth. So far is hasn't disappointed. It has a usb dongle for 2.4 if for some reason BT isn't available, but I haven't tried it. I like that it can be switched completely off to conserve battery power. Software is good and you can configure buttons. It only has two side buttons. So if you want more you'll need to get their different and pricier model.

This mouse is absolutely incredible. I truly, genuinely couldn't ask for a better mouse. I don't have small hands, or big hands, but this fits perfectly with a nice rubberized thumb rest on the left side that doesn't slip; it's actually quite grippy that is. Plenty of DPI sensitivity options as well. I have used this for hours on end and my hand/palm doesn't get sweaty.. like AT ALL. I normally use Energizer Recharge batteries in this and on the 2.4 option. One battery lasts me about 3-4 weeks. And for that, I recommend grabbing recharging batteries to go with this mouse so that you never run out and can swap instantly. No RGB, which is fine. RGB is provided only on the wired and more advanced wireless versions.

Battery life is great. I've used it between 8 and 12 hours a day for work and games for around two weeks - battery level is still 80-90% (alkaline). Feels nice, (note that it's only right-handed), and buttons and the wheel feel solid. Functions well, easy to program and setup. Feels nice and is much lighter than my Logitech G700 (which is a tank of a mouse that has worked for a really long time but wireless lasts about 1hr). Software support is okay - see caveats below. Only requires Razer Synapse software to configure and view settings. Dual protocol support has been nice. The switch at the bottom can be moved from bluetooth to 2.4ghz (dongle provided) in an instant. I use it to switch to my work laptop (bluetooth), and then back to the desktop (2.4ghz dongle installed). * Caveats 1. If you have older Razer devices, you may end up having to run two versions of Razer Synapse (v2 and v3) at the same time to support both. And how those versions are installed can make or break the older stuff. Make sure the old version is fully installed first, then install the newer one. If you let the newer one automatically install the older version, it doesn't really work. 2. If you use the 2.4ghz dongle, like I do, you may have to plug the dongle directly into the computer (no hub) or with an extension usb cable. When I had it plugged into a USB 3.0 hub (where I use hard drives, webcams, etc), it would cut out every few minutes and completely stop working - then suddenly after almost a minute would come back. It is frustrating, while I am actively using the computer, especially in games. I tried all kinds of power saving settings on USB ports, the mouse, etc...nothing seemed to fix the issue. Then I plugged it directly into the computer (even though it's under the desk) and it has worked perfectly for days. This is what keeps it from 5 stars. I had no problems like this on my logitech mouse and keyboard (unifying wireless dongle). Baffling.

I use this Bluetooth mouse for my MacBook Pro. I bought this about 2 years ago and still haven’t changed the battery in it. It has an auto-off when it detects that it’s not being used saving the battery from being over used. It connects to my MacBook extremely fast. I never had any issues with this mouse. It’s great!

Love this mouse! Very comfortable with the thumb rest and the program it comes with to change settings was really helpful and easy to use. I like that you can do Bluetooth or use a USB dongle, so when I use for gaming I don’t have the chance for lag to occur. Pretty lightweight and definitely helped my aim! There’s also buttons which I like. I am not a pro gamer but I am very satisfied with my purchase, I had a cheap mouse before and can say the difference is worth the price.

Cool mouse without RGB or any excessive lights. Very light and responsive. Key presses are clean and the dpi changes are versatile. The only downside is that it uses a single-use battery which 1) can't just charge it up when it's low, and 2) it makes the back heavy, which might influence your experience. But for this price, I'm not complaining.

Crazy good value for a entry wireless gaming mouse. When it goes on sale, just get one, it's a great backup, or even a main gaming mouse when you have a tight budget. Ergonomics are decent and its easy to change DPI. The only downside is the Razer software, which is just ok at best, intrusive and annoying every other time.

Coming from a wireless Logitech M510 mouse, this mouse was an improvement in every way. The mouse is lighter, moves more smoothly, and feels better in the hand. All the extra features are things I didn't realize I needed until I started using this mouse. Being able to use and switch between using bluetooth and the included USB receiver as well as having programmable buttons have been very convenient. I've noticed no issues with the bluetooth connection. It connects to my laptop almost instantly after I turn it on. The only downside for me is the lack of rgb lighting. All the promotional pictures show that the dpi button (the small button in the center) lights up green but it only ever lights either blue or red when searching for a bluetooth connection and when the battery is low respectively. I do enjoy the subtle and minimalistic design of it though. I'm not much of a gamer so I don't know if there may be any subtle issues with the connection or input delay that I may be missing but in terms of productivity work, light gaming, and design work, this mouse has been excellent and I would highly recommend this mouse for anyone looking for a reasonably priced mouse with all the included features.

Pros: +The Razer Synapse software allows you to rebind the buttons to carry out specific functions/macros. Personally, I set the DPI button to allow alternate functions since I never need to change my mouse sensitivity +It has a Bluetooth mode, so you don't have to carry around the dongle to connect to another computer +Input lag is unnoticeable, even in Bluetooth mode +Since it runs on AA batteries, you don't have to go through the hassle of recharging the mouse after every session +Comfortable shape for palm grip Cons: -When the scroll wheel gets hit from the left, it gets pushed in -In the first few weeks that I've had it, the mouse had 2-3 moments where it doesn't take movement input (can be fixed by moving the usb closer to the mouse) Conclusion: Overall, I'd recommend this mouse to people who want something like the Razer Basilisk Ultimate/V2 or the Logitech G502, and doesn't mind the fact that it doesn't have "Pretty Rainbow Colors." I recommend using lithium batteries since they last longer and make the mouse less back-heavy. If you like the aspects of this mouse but don't like the shape, there is the Logitech G305, which is a little bit smaller, but doesn't have Bluetooth or toggle-able macro functions.

If you got this in the Big sale, you got an excellent value. If not, it's still a good value at 50 bucks. I got mine literally a few days before the sale, but BB was kind enough to price match it to my account. This mouse replaced a logitech G502 wired, which was about the same price. I tried, but couldn't get used to the wire. very responsive and the dpi clutch switch works wonders, and the Razer synapse program is very useful. I haven't tried any macros yet, but I will soon for work. A little on the light side for gaming, but I think it's perfect. Best part? it's both bluetooth and wireless. the wireless dongle sits in the battery compartment so you wont lose it. This is in a sense replacing my old bluetooth microsoft mouse, which took 2 batteries, and this one only takes one aa, and the lid attaches via magnets, instead of plastic tabs which we all have broken at one point or another. It works great for both work and gaming, and the ability to change dpi on the fly is a godsend for switching between the 2.

This is a great mouse not only for gaming but for someone looking for a comfortable mouse for everyday use. I use it for both and of course I'm not let down by it. It runs on one AA battery, which some may see as a downside, but to be honest I prefer it to a rechargeable internal battery after owning both styles of mice. This mouse also runs on either Bluetooth or a 2.4GHZ USB receiver that is located under the top shell of the mouse once lifted up. The mouse also features rubber grips on the sides of the for a little extra control when things get hairy in your favorite game. Well worth the money and brings it home with the solid build factor. The only downsides are the lack of some RGB lighting(which is understandable given the power supply) and it's fairly light weight. Overall though, I would recommend this mouse as a lower end option for the casual gamer or everyday computer person.

Nice mouse. Weight is good, it is responsive. I use it for gaming. I don't however like it shutting down so frequently when using it wirelessly. I ended up using it wired instead because of that.

    G502 copycat but with bluetooth

The Logitech G502 my favorite mouse of all time. This mouse is a blatant copy of the G502. While I don't normally condone buying a product that is such a copy of another product, this mouse improves the G502 in 1 important way. BLUETOOTH. The G502 only comes in wired and wireless variants. I had the wired version but the cord is now shorting out. I wanted to move to a single mouse for all of my devices. So I started to look for a mouse that is good for palm-grip, and that has low latency wireless as well as Bluetooth. This mouse checks all of those boxes. Build quality is good. The scroll wheel is better on the g502 but the button clicks are better on the Basilisk IMO. Great Battery life. I am using a AAA lithium battery in a AA plastic adapter to shave off some weight. Overall I am very please with the mouse.
