Overall Good Wireless Headset

Went from a Logitech G933 wireless headset that I used for about 3 years to this after the microphone on the old headset just stopped working. Prior to that, had used a Corsair Void Pro RGB wireless headset that worked for about 2 years (although with various issues, do not recommend) and then the battery refused to hold a charge.
So far, the Razer headset has worked well, and the biggest pro I'd say is that the battery is very long lasting. I use the headset for easily 12-15 hours a day without issue. I work from home and am either listening to music or in virtual meetings or on phone calls pretty much all day. I then usually do some gaming or watch shows for a few hours in the evening. The Logitech headset with all LEDs off got at best about 10 hours and I'd usually have to start charging it towards the end of the work day if I didn't want it dying on me that evening.
That being said, I think I'd still prefer the Logitech G933 overall in terms of features/sound quality. I particularly like being able to wash the ear cups and replace the battery. The real test for me though will be how long the Razer headset continues working, since I've not had luck with any wireless headset working beyond 2-3 years so far.
Pros of Logitech G933:
--------------------------------
Better overall sound quality and sound isolation.
Deeper bass without sounding muddled.
User replaceable battery.
Removeable/washable ear cups.
Better wireless range (~10ft more range).
Pros of Razer BlackShark v2:
---------------------------------------
Much longer battery life (about 30-40% longer for me).
Can get louder than the G933, but distorts more at high volume.
Noticeably better microphone.
Lighter weight without being too light/sliding around.
Lastly, Razer's software is actually really good compared to virtually all other PC peripheral software I've used, most of which tends to be total garbage. Logitech's G-Hub software is functional, but also greatly reduces the overall volume of the G933 when it's installed and I have no idea why. I ended up just uninstalling it.

Pros: The sound on these where good, with my eq settings and the app turned on. Battery life was good and it feels nice on the head.
Cons: The connectivity was not great. I couldn’t get out of my room with the signal cutting out. The mic was also not that great with out me having it directly over my mouth and I had to mute when I wasn’t talking or else it would pick up on my breathing.

My journey is over. This is my wireless gaming headset going forward. A little background: I don't stream or record. I just play online multiplayer games. My journey started with a GoXLR + Shure Dynamic mic and separate headset. While this produced the best mic quality and headphone sound, it was overkill and caused more desk clutter than I liked. I've tried G Pro wireless, Arctis Pro's wireless and Cloud II's before I landed on these V2 Pro Wireless. While they all had pluses and minuses, The V2's were the best overall especially in the most important category: COMFORT.
COMFORT-
I can wear the V2's for 8 hrs straight and have no discomfort. I forget that they are there. They are super light and have minimal clamping force. I can't head bang with them on because they will fall off but I don't do that and I don't know who does.
SOUND-
Sound quality is better than the other 3 headsets overall. The Spatial THX is enabled when I game and in every other application. It is just the better audio profile. You can distinguish sounds both directionally and tonally. Bass is deep and rich without being over pronounced. One tip is find a good USB port. I tried to use this via USB dock and it just killed the mic quality. Using this directly into a motherboard USB3 port supplied the proper data and power for this headset to get loud and perform the way it should.
MIC-
Mic quality is the best by far out of all the headsets mentioned. Go ahead and set it to broadcast and then play with each setting for your environment. I use mictest.com to record and playback as it is better than the built in sound test in Razer Synapse. Make sure you adjust the voice gate and enable it. I am able to take out all background noise with this mic with ease at 40 voice gate. Vol normalization, vocal clarity and ambient noise filters only add noise and I do not use them.
SOFTWARE-
Razer synapse is heavy. It opens up to a useless link page and has a bunch of stuff you don't need. It functions well, but it is bloated. I just want the audio portion and that's it. With that said all the audio/mic stuff works well and is intuitive.
I have never liked any of the Razer products I have tried in the past. This is the first. It is the best all in one wireless gaming headset on the market that I have tried. Price is a little high, but is on the cheaper side of similar products on the market. The headset is all black with no green and looks great. I do not typically leave reviews, but I am so impressed I felt compelled. Good job Razer.

Bought a PS5 and realized that there was no optical cable (did not stay up-to-date much) so the sound on my Astro A40s was not even close to what it was before. Looked at the splitter sold by Astro but it does not support HDMI 2.1 so I wanted to look else where. After some research I came across these and they do not disappoint. Connect via USB front or back and you are ready to go. Double check your audio settings just in case also. Sound quality is great that not using my Astros is not bugging me. Bass is just right and not muffled or distorted. Foot steps are heard clearly. The mic sounds really good as well. Love the all black as opposed to their green accent they usually come with. Build quality is also great and these are really light and comfortable. I would highly recommend trying these out!

An amazingly well built headset!
Durability:
While the thin wire frame may look flimsy, this design has been around for DECADES, serving construction workers and military members perfectly well. This design is actually one of the strongest you will ever find, due to it's flexibility.
Sound quality:
The best I have ever heard. These easily rival audiophile headphones for the price. Try the following EQ settings for the best music experience:
Stereo Sound
31Hz + 7
63Hz + 5
125Hz + 4
250Hz + 3
500Hz + 2
1kHz + 4
2kHz + 1
4kHz + 5
8kHz + 5
16kHz + 8
Bass Boost - Off
Sound Normalization - Off
Vocal Clarity - Off
Comfort:
THIS is by far the most underrated feature of a headset. These things are like none other. You WILL forget they are on your head. The only drawback from this is they can easily fall off if you move fast or stoop down to pick something up. I'll take that any day for the comfort level they give.
Connectivity:
These are completely lossless, AS LONG as you do not use a USB extension cable. I was experiencing random drops and it was due to my crap cable. Plug the dongle directly into the PC and leave it be. It's also nice to see I can use a 3.5mm cable as a backup if I forget to charge them, which is about once a week (insane battery life).
In summary, you'll find a lot of hate towards these and other Razer headsets and products just due to brand hate. Ignore it. I am not a Razer fanboy by any means, yet these won me over tenfold. There is no better wireless (or wired, if you get the standard V2) headset right now. Seriously, just get it!

Coming from a Corsair VOID yellow headset, There was really some differences that I first noticed. The bass can be really balanced with the right equalizer settings and music sounds so well done. Theres specific setting for gaming and music that actually makes it sound a whole lot better. The THX setting does cut of the sound down, and i've heard an update might fix it but just the settings alone of gaming makes me suggest these. Comfort wise the fit very nicely, fit well around the ears and are very very light weight, much lighter than my old corsairs. One thing to note is a wire used to set the depth but it feels strong and sturdy enough to ease worry. All in all for the price this is a really good headset id recommend, worth its money for sure.

I was on the market for some wireless headsets and came across this. so I did further research on these then decided to order it before it sold out.
I can honestly say that these sounded great as well as the Bass and design wise is pretty cool. The initial setup is pretty quick, almost kind of a plug-n-play type of style and you can tweak the settings to meet your liking.
Battery life is decent you can probably get up to 20+ hours (Depending on your settings) and charges pretty quick as well.
Price is a little high but its worth it. Definitely would recommend this.

TURN OFF SPACIAL SOUND, GREAT EXCELLENT RICH SOUND

PRO TIP, TURN OFF SPACIAL SOUND.
I had weird sounds in games like Hunt: Showdown. Steps sounded weird, directions of gunshots and footstep were off. ect.
For now, Just turn off Spacial Sound , until it is updated/better.
In stereo, with spacial sound off, I can INSTANTLY know EXACTLY where things are. The game even says to where a stereo headset for best experience. I dont know why i ever got on the 7.1 software surround bandwagon. It's just a gimmic. we have 2 ears, and many things are recorded in stereo, so why to try manipulation all that audio making it BAD, instead of just using stereo.
I LOVE this headset. Coming from Steel series arctis 7 wireless after 2 years, these SOUND SO MUCH DEEPER , CLEARER, CLEANER. They are lighter or at least feel much more comfortable than even the wonderful comfort arctis has. the arctis headband stretches, very annoying. These beat them. Range is about 75% of the arctis 7. Range better on arctis but I want good deep rich bass and sound over arctis and THESE DELIVER!
1 star off for Spacial sound sounding horrible and making it hard to know where gunshots are, when with stereo it is PERFECT!
Also wish there was USB C instead of micro usb port. always have to make sure it is right side up. but its ok.

Long time owner/user of Astro A40's and A50's.
Six month owner/user of HyperX Cloud S Wired.
THE SHORT:
Ridiculously good headset for a ridiculously fair price.
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro > HyperX Cloud S > Astro A40/50
V2 Pro is hands down the best all-around headset I've ever used.
THE LONG:
First, it is highly unusual for me to get a new set of headphones after only a few months, it's usually years. The Cloud S is a very good headset with excellent sound (a bit overpriced IMO) but it has one major drawback for me: although not wireless, it is not a passive driver headset either, meaning it MUST be charged to be used. Of course, if you want to use it with only the USB-C connection no problem, but I like to switch over to 3.5mm connectors, for my high-end soundcard, depending on the situation/application.
The BlackShark V2 Pro does not have this problem. Yes, it is a fully wireless headset, but it is also a passive headset. You can wear them while charging, you can wear them wireless, or never charge them and plug into the 3.5mm connector only. Seems like a small thing but this is a big deal and a great detail that hasn't been overlooked.
Other +:
Simple black; normal looking; I can wear them anywhere and not look like a gamer-boy; very comfortable and light; also great for music; they feel well constructed regardless of the plastics.
Negatives:
Bluetooth connectivity would have been a cool option, even though I'm sure it would have driven the price up; some people may not like that the ear cups don't twist to lay flat on the shoulders when the headset is on the neck; Surprised they used a micro-usb connector instead of usb-c (I suspect the micro will actually last longer than the c would before becoming lose). Now with everything I said in the negatives, note that all of these comments would pertain to more of a mobile use headset and that is not what this is built as; this is a gaming headset. So, take the negatives with a big grain of salt and understand that I only mentioned them here so you know what you are buying.
Paid $159.00 on sale. I feel that this was a very fair price after spending the evening with them. In comparison, the Cloud S model was 2x the price but offers true 3D-positional sound (pretty neat, but I rarely used it). I also own a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 wireless Bluetooth headphones. They are also PHENOMINAL, but for a different purpose and will set you back $275 if you get them on sale.

The range is great. I can walk to every corner of our two bed one bath apartment and not experience any static or dead zones. The sound quality is excellent and battery life is great. What i love most though is how light weight it sits on the head. It doesnt squash my ears either. I can wear it all day at work and then still game in the evening w/o any discomfort.

Great Headset...When It Works

When it works, the headset is near perfect, but it has one serious flaw. Let's start with the positives: the sound is great and it's very comfortable to wear. The build quality is nice; you can drop it or bang it around without fear of breaking it. Maybe I got a lemon, but I continue to have connectivity issues. Nearly every time I game, there comes a point where it intermittently beeps, disconnects, beeps again, then reconnects. Some games have become unplayable. I have tried everything to remove any sort of interference between my headset and my PC and every other troubleshooting option you can think of with no luck. Hopefully they fix this with the new version.

The BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless headset is excellent. The sound quality is great, they are comfortable and they have excellent battery life. I charge them nightly, but even when I don't I easily get 2 days out of them, using them for conference calls for work all day long and then some gaming at night. When speaking to others, people comment on how good my voice sounds, clear and loud, but not too loud.
That being said, there are a few issues. One issue is you have to have the volume all the way up in order to hear yourself speak through the headset. Some folks may be ok with this, but it is just weird sounding to me. Also, make sure you turn on Mic Monitoring (Sidetone) in the Razer Synapse app on your machine.
Another minor annoyance is that these are Bluetooth and the range while satisfactory most of the time, the range is not that great. When gaming, no issues, but I sometimes walk around during a conference call and I do lose connectivity if I wander too far from my machine. Also, try to keep the BT dongle away from any other BT device and from any external hard drive as the interference will cause a loss of connectivity.
I do recommend these to anyone looking for a higher-end wireless headset.

Good: 3d sound, comfort, great mic.
Bad: battery life, no ANC, CAN INTERFERE WITH OTHER WIRELESS DEVICES.
Sound quality:
I'm not an audiophile. That said, this is one of the best sounding headsets I've ever owned. Built in THX spatial audio has to be experienced to be believed. Bass could be better, but still packs a good punch. Not my first choice for purely listening to music, but now absolutely my go to for gaming.
Mic:
Far superior to old stick mics, bluetooth pinhole mics, or standard laptop built in mics. I do wish the mic arm was slightly longer (1-2cm) as positioning is limited. This mic does an excellent job of just picking up my voice and no other ambient noise. Even mostly ignores other choices in the room.
Comfort:
Excellent. Though I've never found an uncomfortable headset at this price point. One tiny detail: the ear cuffs adjustability could be slightly more "clicky" as they do have a tenancy to slip when taking them off/putting them on necessitating adjustment every time.
Bad stuff:
Battery life is fine, it will go an entire day on a full charge, but I'm taking off points because other headphones at this price have lasted me 2, sometimes 3 days on a charge with regular use. On the plus side they are still usable when plugged in and charging which is not always the case.
Wireless interference:
This one's big! I bought these at the same time as a wireless Razer mouse. The mouse was completely unusable for gaming due to stuttering and lag from interference. Had to use a USB extender to move the headphone wireless dongle far away from the mouse receiver to reduce the interference enough to be usable.
No ANC:
Wish it had active noise cancelling. At this price it really should. The passive is the best I've experienced, and I often miss hearing my phone ring on the desk beside my keyboard, or my wife walk up behind me, but active is just better.
A note on 2.4ghz vs bluetooth:
For those worrying what the difference is. Bluetooth does not have enough bandwidth to carry HD audio and microphone data simultaneously. On your phone it doesn't matter because your phone automatically switches audio profiles for when you're listening to music it taking a call. On a PC you can't have HD spatial audio in your game and use the mic to talk to your friends in team chat.
2.4ghz wireless has much better bandwidth and can carry HD audio and return HD mic simultaneously. You can have that beautiful full audio and still talk to your team. The downside being this won't connect to your phone.

Pros-
*Audio quality is great
*Very comfortable
*Good battery life
*Light weight
Cons-
*Software is okay
*Audio quality of Logitech G Pro wireless is better at a similar price point.
*You can't replace earcups
Conclusion-
If comfort is top priority and audio is second then I would go with these. They still sound great. Otherwise go with the Logitech G Pros.

Sound is good. Not exceptional, but good. The versatility to use on multiple systems is also good. Boom mic seems of good quality and haven't had anyone complain on voice quality or pickup.
The biggest benefit to these are the lightweight. I have been able to wear these for 3-4 hours straight without any fatigue or discomfort.
Battery also last long enough for most work days or gaming sessions, and the fact that it can be charged while being used is great in case they do get too low during heavy usage.

Nice build quality and quite comfortable. I bought these to try the spatial audio in Warzone. These are great when determining directional sound BUT no matter how much you change the EQ settings these will ALWAYS sound muted and muddy because the highs don’t come through as well with this headset. I personally could not get use to this as it sounded like I was inside a giant fish tank but some people may like it. This is mainly due to the poor audio quality in Warzone and is not really noticeable when listening to music and playing other games. I ended up returning these for the HyperX Cloud II Wireless and I am very happy with the balanced sound and better battery life. The Blackshark V2 Pro’s are great for everyone EXCEPT for serious Warzone players

Pros:
This headset is surprisingly light and comfortable. Was giving me some pain on my right ear initially but after breaking it in, it was unnoticeable. The sound is exceeds my expectations. In stereo mode, the audio is significantly louder than my g933. Voice were very clear. Bass was punchy and not so muddy. I compared this to my logitech g933. Mic sounded decent during my testing via voice recorder.
Cons:
built in THX audio from synapse3 was not that great. made everything seems farther. did not get a chance to test it in a game yet. However, if u pay for the standalone THX Spatial Audio app, the sound experience is significantly better. Audio sounds much richer and u can adjust EQ as well as distance each speaker is from you. I would assume Razer purposely gave users a crappy version of THX audio to give users incentives to purchase upgraded app.
Sidetone is very low unless u go into windows sound option and enable listen mode for your mic.
