Amazing Specs but terrible webcam 0.9MP?!?

Quality and feel of a MacBook Pro, but different. The Mercury color is just aluminum, which is the same color and finish as a macbook pro.
I've only had this computer for less than a week. I really like it. I bought it to run solidworks CAD on it and so far it is running smooth.
The screen has amazing resolution so i have all my taskbar icons tiny and get more usable space out of the screen. It is touchscreen, which I don't really know if I'll be using. I would have liked to save money as I don't feel I needed that but didn't see an option. Admittedly I don't have much experience with laptop touchscreens and can only compare to my iPad Pro 12.9in. This laptop touch screen I can zoom in and out but it lags when compared to the ipad. Comparable to scrolling on Android vs scrolling on iPhone. iPhone scrolls more smoothly in my experience.
The webcam is the biggest joke (disappointing surprise) 0.9 megapixel, takes me back to like 2001 flip phone cameras. its pathetic. I'll attach a photo of the settings within the camera app. The highest quality it allows is 0.9 and it is insufficient.
The trackpad is smooth and works very well. it is very sensitive though and my cursor moves around while I'm typing because the bottom of my hands are positioned over it.
battery (fully charged) will give me about 4 hours but I can adjust settings to make it stretch longer.
This computer can compute without getting too hot. I had another laptop that i paid $3k for which was super loud with the fans and got really hot when it was working. This one has 2 fans on bottom and is pretty quiet and cool. This is awesome.
The speakers definitely get loud but they don't have bass, so just imagine loud treble. At least you can turn it up and hear in a somewhat noisy environment but its not super high quality which I did expect for a $4k laptop.
Overall, I really like this computer and am glad I bought it. I do plan on making educational videos and will be forced to buy a webcam because the one that came with it is not usable. While inconvenient, I place more priority on the graphics card specs and internal ram and up to 5.1ghz speed processor.
I'm hoping this computer lasts me a very long time!

A well rounded laptop for content creators

It's a great laptop for content creators. The colors are bright and vibrant with fast uploading and downloading times. It looks professional and it does not appear like a gaming laptop. Razerblade has done a great job improving their thermals relative to their prior laptops for the six months I've used it. In my opinion and experience with razerblade and macbooks Apple should strive to build their laptops in a manner similar to Razer's Studio edition.

Solution for 3D/Graphic Artists, Content Creators

I create architectural 3D renderings. I have searched high and low for a laptop that performs well and looks good too. For years I chose beauty over brains because I didn't want to carry around the typical gamer machine. Finally, there is a solution for graphic/visual artists, interior designers/architects, and content creators! So if you are seeking a beast for 3D rendering, while multi-tasking (rendered a full-size image in 3ds Max with 2 Adobe programs, 10 Internet tabs, and Revit model open) and looks good in front of clients; nothing compares to this. I originally purchased the Blade 15 Base and decided to upgrade for the Studio Edition as I was unable to multi-task while rendering on the base model.
Pros:
-Quadro is a thing of beauty. Rendering time is greatly reduced.
-4K screen is bright and expressive.
-Touchscreen
-Fan doesn't come on as often as the machine takes on programs with ease (the Blade 15 model was always popping on, even while browsing the internet).
-Sleek and great looking, similar in style to a Macbook Pro.
-Chroma keyboard can be customized which is really cool.
-Value for specs.
Cons:
-Weight of the laptop and power cord don't allow this to be the most portable machine.
-Heat issue still occurs, it literally doubles as a hand warmer even with minimal use.

The perfect laptop

I've owned many high end laptops, including the macbook pro 16 inch with the i9 processor, but this razer laptop completely blows it away. The quadro rtx 5000 is still the most powerful graphics card out even with the 3000 series released. I use it for gaming, on regular use and web browsing i get about 5-6 hours of battery life, not sure why everyone is complaining about that but this is a powerhouse, so don't expect 12 hours of battery. I had an issue with the icue software for my corsair mouse, apparently it drains battery and I was only getting 1.5 hours of battery, after I uninstalled that app I now get >5 hours on max display brightness. The OLED screen is absolutely incredible, totally different experience when using it. I wish it was 120 hz but I guess we can't have it all. 10/10 laptop.

Razer-Blade RTX 5000 i7

This Razer-Blade RTX 5000 i7 laptop, is very smooth, and can, handled the editing load very easily. The OLED screen is very smooth and easy on the eyes. The SSD Hard drive responds very quickly, even with 8Gb video files. Other files are like a blink. I first wondered if they were even copied, but no, they saved, just that fast.
Thank you Razor for your quality efforts, and those who sell and represent the sales of them. But please, get rid of the ridge at the front of the mouse it is an irritation on the hands

I just started my own architectural design business and needed a new laptop to handle the demand of BIM programs and real-time rendering software but also needed one that looked sleek since I use it during client meetings. After hours of laptop research I found this impressive machine. It is blazing fast, handles multiple large programs at a time easily, and the screen display is outstanding. The only cons for me are that there isn't a number pad on the right of the keyboard and the webcam is atrocious. I had to buy a standalone camera because the built-in one was worse than a 2008 flip phone and I'm not exaggerating.

This was an expensive purchase for me, but its working great for what I need. I'm producing 4K videos and I needed a laptop that could handle. Some times you have to spend money to make money and this is turning out to be a good investment.

Amazing desktop! Great performance but bluetooth does not reconnect to razer mouse without deleting and reading and the laptop gets so hot it MUST be used as a desktop as you cannot keep it on your lap

The Razer Blade is very sharp; I recommend you don't let your children play with it because they're likely to cut themselves on the sharp edges. Make sure to put it back in its case when you're done with it so nobody gets hurt.
Other than that, it's got some beefy insides and is very sleek, this is a great buy for a prosumer content creation machine or casual gamer.

Wow. This thing is an absolute beast. I bought it to model & render but it's also rockin' at gaming. People told me the Quadro wouldn't support gaming but I've had no issues. Quality worth the price tag.

Touch screen broke twice in one year from regular use and pressure, cracked like an eggshell. Adult owned, owner of many Dell and Lenovo and other high end gaming systems. Razer did not own up to any fault, blamed the customer for "misuse" how is touching a touch screen misuse? They are a terrible brand with terrible customer service. The lower right side of this laptop is defective and breaks easily. I would not invest in this laptop or any Razer based on my experience that if anything goes wrong you are on your own. Much better customer service from other companies.

The build is decent, however switching from a MacBook Pro makes the Razer keyboard and trackpad (which has "press buttons" for left- and right-click) feel a bit cheap. The 4K touch display is beautiful, even when comparing the the MacBookPro, however I'm not a "touchscreen guy" so can't say much about that functionality. The Quadro RTX 5000 needs no praise -- it's a beastly GPU with 16GB of memory for heavy workloads. Although my Razer Studio laptop ended up crashing during a firmware update and never booted up again, the laptop performed excellently for the three days prior to malfunctioning.
On the other hand, *buyer beware*: Razer support is horrendous (non-existent?).
After being on the phone with technical support for two hours, they agreed to replace it. They sent me a package slip the following day for overnight delivery back to their warehouse. I was told I'd receive the replacement at the latest in three days following the warehouse receiving the defective unit. Because I had it for only three days before it malfunctioned, to expedite the resolution they agreed to simply replace it and not bother with a repair. The "RMA Type" on the support page for my case is "Replace Once Received."
This is where the support ended.
The warehouse received the defective unit on a Tuesday at 10:50AM, and have been inquiring about the status of my replacement for the past four days. Every time I call, it's the same story: "We are in touch with the appropriate internal team and they will get back to you" either immediately, within the hour, within the day, etc. Not once did I receive any follow-up.
(Unfortunately, Razer only offers technical support and so there is no way to get in touch with anyone from customer service, RMA or warranty departments. To be honest, I don't think Razer has such departments.)
Eventually I caught up to them and their empty promises, so began asking for the technical support agent to document our calls and what was done on their end to push forward (so a paper-trail is left for proof and it didn't seem like I was making up stories). More than half the the time they did not document the calls -- I was sure to do it myself. After numerous calls made from my end, I was told that the case would be sent to the "Escalations Team" and I could expect them to follow up with me, again, within the hour, the day, etc. Still no reply from anyone.
In summary, I'm happy to recommend this product but pray that your device lasts. I strongly suggest future buyers to get the extended warranty through Best Buy to save themselves the headaches when needing support from Razer.
