Zero Issues, Amazing Thermals, Love This Laptop!

So, I spent months researching trying to decide on the best gaming laptop. I was looking at the Lenovo Y740, Gigabye Aero 15, ASUS Zephyrus S, and this Razer Blade 15.
I heard about people having issues with BSOD's, freezing, various quality control issues for which Razer is known for having. I also saw several positive reviews. So, it seems like luck of the draw in most cases. I decided to roll the dice and I got this Mercury White Razer Blade 15 with RTX 2070 240Hz display.
I ended up with one of the good ones, apparently. It has had absolutely zero issues and I've been using it for about a month straight now, since I bought it.
I love this laptop and I use it everyday. It's never frozen on me or anything and it is one of the smoothest gaming experiences I've ever had. The form factor is unreal! It's so light and thin, and the power brick is surprisingly small, light and portable.
Gaming performance:
Overwatch: AVG FPS on EPIC settings 144% render scale 1080P - 80-90FPS, CPU @ 74-77C, GPU @ 71-75C
Resident Evil 2: Everything on highest setting 1080P - 80-90FPS CPU @ 71-77C, GPU @ 68-75C
Rise of the Tomb Raider: Everything on highest settings 1080P - 74FPS benchmark test, CPU @ 71-76C, GPU @ 70-74C
I played Overwatch for a solid two hours and the above temps were the same range.
I played RE2 for about 20 mins and ran through the demo in Tomb Raider as well as the benchmark.
Gameplay was super crisp and smooth. No stuttering at all.
This is all without undervolting. The temps are good enough for me that I haven't even undervolted it yet and gameplay is buttery smooth.
I was on the fence about purchasing this laptop for so long, but I'm glad I finally made the purchase. It's so sleek and thin, and an absolute powerhouse of a gaming laptop.
The keyboard has very minimal key travel, so be aware of that. I'm used to it now,
It would have been nice if Razer put an Ethernet port on here, but they didn't. The base model has an Ethernet port, though.
Thermal performance on this laptop is incredible. The CPU and GPU both pretty much average about 75C on every game I've played so far. This was a big concern for me and I can't believe how efficient this laptop is at cooling the CPU and GPU in such a thin chassis.
It's pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I'd highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a desktop replacement gaming laptop that is ridiculously thin and powerful.

I purchased this laptop as an open box satisfactory and couldn’t be more happy with it! Best Buy was very helpful and took the time to open the box and show me the laptop before I purchased, and to my luck it was in excellent condition! I play games like Rainbow Six Siege, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. It runs them on ultra settings flawlessly with very high FPS! Razer did an amazing job with the thermals on this laptop, I’ve gamed for hours at a time on it with no heating issue whatsoever. The 240HZ screen is great and also very bright.
The laptop is definitely one of the nicest laptops on the market today. The price is definitely up there but the quality is top notch and easily on par with Apple’s MacBook Pro! It’s built very good and the mercury white finish is very nice and durable. One thing I really like is it doesn’t look like a typical gaming laptop which makes this one unique! The speaker are very loud and have good sound quality. I would definitely recommend this laptop!

240Hz display with the rtx 2070 is perfect for MOBA's, as it can almost max out the frame cap of 240.
Can get a little loud on triple A titles but that is just how thin gaming laptops work. You'll need a laptop cooling pad during the summers or anything over 80F if you want to keep your CPU below 90C's.
6-ish hour battery life is great when you make sure to switch the display to 60hz. Keyboard is ok. Mediocre travel and the arrow keys on this model are different so you may accidentally press up while typing. This is corrected in the most recent 2020 models, albeit increased price. Most recent models have a 300hz option but I don't know any games that an rtx 2070 can push to 300 fps.
Looks like a Macbook so you can get away with it in an office or school setting. You'll need a carrying case because the coating front panel can easily get scratched. If you can still get this in 2020, it's a great value if you are looking for a high refresh rate MOBA / light triple AAA / productivity laptop while remaining lightweight.

I only got this a week ago but as of now this has been a good purchase, I bought this as a replacement for my 2011 MacBook Pro that finally bit the dust. It looks sharp and professional, not embarrassing to use at the coffee shops but at the same time it packs a punch and games play on ultra high settings. Didn’t even get very hot which was my main concern. Also got a razer mouse and with synapse creates a very aesthetically pleasing setup. My wallet still hurts though. Also it feels sturdy and I feel like it would survive a few good drops like my MacBook did.

I am skeptical of getting this because of mixed reviews. Unit I got at least doesn't have any issues whatsoever. The gaming performance is very good. The screen is beautiful to look to consume any media. After owning an Alienware 15R3 laptop before. This is a fantastic upgrade

Build quality of the laptop is outstanding. My unit does have coil-whine but I am use to it with these Nvidia Graphics Cards, it is always hit or miss. The keyboard is definitely awkward like a lot of people mentioned, i'll get used to it. The screen comes with a Razer warm setting which you can adjust in your Color Management Control panel to your liking. I will say for how expensive his laptop is, it should definitely come with Windows 10 Pro and a larger SSD! 240Hz screen is lovely for gaming and it does get bright. I hope this laptop lasts!

Best Thin and Light Gaming Laptop!

If you are looking for a thin gaming laptop with high performance as well premium aesthetics and functionality, then look no further than the Razer Blade 15! This is my 4th Razer laptop (owned the original Razer Blade and have upgraded every few years since), and there is a reason I keep coming back to them even though I always read and watch all of the reviews of its competitors before each purchase. This purchase was a particularly good one, as it was like several hundreds of dollars off in order to make way for the 10th gen Intel versions. I was looking for the best bargain so I felt like this was the right choice for me.
Top features: absolutely beautiful mercury white finish (think Mac Book Pro but actually better), sturdy aluminum body, individually lit RGB for each key, the secondary symbols and extra functions are now lit as well (drove me bonkers that they weren't lit on previous versions actually), the speakers are very full sounding and loud for a laptop (better than previous generations), oh and of course I can comfortably play any video game on it at a high refresh rate including powering my HTC Vive Pro VR headset! The one feature I did wish it had would be Gsync for the monitor. It appears Razer decided to use Nvidia Optimus to increase battery life instead (which it has excellent battery life by the way. I usually get 5 to 6 hours on a charge with full screen and keyboard brightness.) Could probably get much longer if I dimmed the brightness a little and lowered the refresh rate of the screen to 60hz if I needed it to last all day, but I usually only use it for a few hours at a time and I am usually by an outlet. The fans do ramp up fairly loud when you are gaming, but that is with any gaming laptop and actually the quality speakers help mask that, or you can use headphones in which case you can't hear the fans.
Basically it is just a laptop that I really enjoy using for everything, not just gaming, and it can do anything you throw at it well. It also has at least one of basically every connection port that you would need. I keep trying to justify testing another brand of laptop, but these blade's keep calling out to me! There always seems to be some fatal flaw that keeps me from going with another brand (i.e. terrible battery life, awkward keyboard placement, too thick, too "gamery" looking, too cheap feeling, or too boring looking etc.) but the blade always ticks all of the boxes! I am digging on the mercury white as a change to the last several that I had that were black. It also hides the finger prints better.

My unit is excellent and the only real complaint I have is the arrow key next to the right shift key. It is a very non standard arrangement and annoying but at the performance is top notch. 4.5 stars with a solid unit. Watch out for QC issues and don’t send to Razer. Good luck

Amazing Gaming Laptop - Could Use Bigger Storage

This is an amazing gaming laptop. It does everything it said it would do and more. I have only one gripe with this laptop, And its the fact that it only comes with 512GB of storage. At this price point, you would expect to have at least 1TB. Other than the storage size. The Razer Blade 15 is amazing and it handles anything you throw at it.

A BEAST

I absolutely LOVE my computer. This machine is A BEAST.
I have been able to power through several graphic and processor intensive games and applications. I previously owned an MSI laptop, but this machine was a clear upgrade for me.
Only downside is the keyboard-trackpad set-up.
Track-pad is a little over sized and I frequently accidentally touch it when typing. This causes a whole bunch of funky things to happen and puts a damper on what I'm trying to do. However, I connect an external mouse and keyboard to use on my home workstation, so no biggie.
I would definitely recommend this computer though!

It can get warm when pushed. By warm I mean cook an old school Jiffy Pop and then melt some butter to pour over.
Runs anything at max I've tried and asks for more. Anthem at full specs (pop the Jiffy pop) with Chrome open on 2nd screen.
Lightroom, Adobe Rush, & Photoshop have had no issues. I use an USB-C external SSD 1TB drive to keep the unit clean as it's only a 512GB drive.
A lot of money - yes. Mid-life crisis purchase - yup. Setup for the next 3-5 years - better be.
Did I mention it gets warm - boarder line hot to the touch. I use an external keyboard and monitor and have the Razer on a raised stand to help with airflow.
The built in fans do a great job of cooling down once the unit is no longer pushed. I don't mind the fan noise and have it set to auto which is normally a steady stream of background white noise.

Top quality build, great specs and looks, easy to upgrade. Overall, it is a powerful laptop able to do anything form browsing to video editong and gaming. Just a little minus from user experience - I needed to update the video driver, because it was unstable and the sceen blacked out a couple of times. This is a minor thing as drivers and software are always changing. Since i updated the driver i had no issues. I am happy with the purchase.

PROS
-Awesome graphics runs everything I own on ultra
-really nice looking labtop feels really well made
-awesome RGB lightening in the keyboard (really bright)
CONS
- Battery dies really quick! (Probably cause I like to run everything on high) I honestly got about an hour and a few minutes before I would have to charge it, spent more time with it plugged in cause I didn’t want to deal with it dying so fast.
- Above the keyboard gets really hot! Not like burn your hand hot but like to the point it concerns me
- Fans a little louder then I expected but I found myself getting use to it
- Backlight Bleeding for my labtop was really bad definitely in corners it was actually annoying to look at when you’re playing a game and you’re in a dark location it’s just an ugly thing to notice
CONCLUSION
I was really excited to purchase this labtop especially hearing all the reviews on it, it does what I want it to do run games on ultra without a problem, I got it for strictly gaming but unfortunately ended up being disappointed by these cons and couldn’t live with spending that much money on a labtop with theses issues.

I've owned this laptop for 6 months now, and it is incredible. The screen is bright enough for outside use. The keyboard is backlit and light-adjustable too. I'm able to play games like fortnight and call of duty just perfectly.
The downside for me is that it gets hot by the speakers and loud fans after 2 hours of playing.
So I keep a laptop cooler underneath the laptop when I'm at home.

Found this online and went to the store to take a look
It was in brand new packaging, everything still sealed, just a broken box.
Works perfectly, no overheating problems, bleed, or misalignments. Battery life is great for normal stuff due to optimus, just don't expect the 6-8 hours when gaming.
