    Quality mouse

Braided cord tends to tangle less than the standard plastic cords found in most mice and keyboards. The 6 side buttons are fantastic for those who play MOBAs, which is exactly what the mouse is designed for. Very responsive, and everything from sensitivity to button assignment is open to customization in Razer's Synapse program. It's a bit of an ordeal to get the initial setup done (unless, of course, you've already set up a Razer product before.)

    Red vs. Green: You choose!

So as per the title, the Razer Hex gaming mouse comes in two colors, red and green. I chose the red, but both of these mice have an awesome sleek classy look. The smooth shiny finish feels great, though some might prefer more of a matte surface. There are just the six nicely spaced apart buttons, easily reachable, in a comfortable position while gripping the mouse. These buttons, the left/right click, scroll wheel and the two buttons below that, are all customizable via the Razer Synapse 2.0 interface. In-game, the Hex performs well, and as expected. I also own the Razer Orochi and Naga left-handed mice. All three are completely different animals so I won't compare them to each other. Suffice to say, each has it's own benefits depending on your play style. I'd been wanting the Razer Hex for a while now, and am glad I finally got one. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my third Razer mouse purchase.

The mouse is super comfortable in my hand. I love how ergonomic it is. The only bad side is that they don't use the same material as their other mice so it tends to slip. It more than makes up for it with the super comfortable buttons it's just the perfect amount it's not too little where you can't get stuff done but it's not too much where you feel overly stimulated by it it it is one of the best mice that every used and it's held up for just about a year now

    Good for not only MOBA

Unlike the Razer Naga, this mouse is good for plenty of things. With the perfect amount of buttons, it's great for shooters, MOBA, RPG, and even some MMO games. The only problem I have is the cord. It's way too long, and gets in the way sometimes. Besides that, the mouse is great.

    A capable mouse

After using Logitech mice for what felt like forever, using a mouse like this was a learning experience. The side (thumb) buttons takes a while to get used to. Most mice of gaming caliber are designed with just two or three on the side. With 6 buttons and a hexagon form, this will throw most users off and will be a learning curve. Thankfully, the default settings are set to simple number keys. This can be changed in the configuration software, which is tons lighter than Logitech's software. The configuration software is straightforward and easy to set up. It has enough flexibility for the power users to take advantage of the hardware and is straightforward enough to be easy to understand. There are two drawbacks to this mouse. The first is that there is no tilt-wheel. While this may not be an issue for most gamers, those migrating from MS-esque mouse designs may find it odd to live without this little feature. The second drawback is the material finish used for the top of the mouse and mouse buttons. It is a smooth glossy plastic finish that collects small particles that can clump together (due to oily hands/fingers, sweat, or whatever). Because of this, you have to frequently clean the button surface to get back that smooth "new" feeling. I probably would have prefer a matte finish instead of smooth gloss. But that's just me. Overall, the mouse is a pretty good replacement for the ol' Logitech mouse I've been using for a while. And it's very refreshing to be able to use the Razer Synapse software that feels smooth and lightweight. If you're tired of how bloat-like Logitech's driver software has become, moving to a Razer hardware may help alleviate that. For mice, Razer has been in the game long enough to be considered an excellent alternative to Logitech's gaming mice series.

I really enjoy this mouse. I thought the 12 button version would be too much, so i bought the hex (6 side button) version. I really like the ability to keymap with the synapse software.

I was excited to purchase this mouse. It is very programmable and installation with my MAC was flawless. The downside is the size. I have small hands and have difficulty finding things, like gloves etc., to fit. Even with small hands, this mouse is too small. You have to change the way you hold it, making it uncomfortable for me. If you have average to large hands you might think twice. I would have given it 5 starts if it were a little bigger.3

    Better than Expected

The mouse is differently shaped than any other mouse I've used before. It took awhile to get used to, but fells natural after a few games of LoL. At least for me the "1,2,&3" buttons are a little out of reach. Have to adjust my hand grip. If you know you have a claw grip, having to set your hand on the mouse can be weird. Never had a mouse where there is a rest for the ring finger, but its a welcome addition. If your play a lot of LoL or Dota 2, you would like this mouse. If not, just give it a try.

So I picked this bad boy up today May 5th. I absolutely love it. It is very lightweight and not a burden to use. I have large hands and this mouse fits perfectly. I really like the 6 buttons on the side. They work perfect for every game I play. I play a lot of League of Legends and World of Warcraft and it works well with both games. Only downside is that there is only 2 colors available. It would be cool if more colors were available like blue. My favorite color is red and that is the one I have and I love it. Other than that this thing is pretty nifty. I chose this one over the Razer Naga with 12 side buttons. I felt there is no need for 12 when you can simply hold shift while pressing one of the 6 buttons and that is a completely different action. I also felt that my thumb was too big for all 12 buttons on the naga and the Hex fit perfectly with my thumb. Anyway I'm off to go play some more games. Just took a break to write this up. I highly recommend buying this. And hey if you end up not liking it you can always return it or sell it to someone else. But I doubt that will happen. I know you will like it.

Overall, a great product. Bought this today and was able to set-up and install within a few minutes. The synapse configuration utility is intuitive and provides more options than I expected. Feels very solid. The contour of the unit fits very well in hand. The USB cord has a braided cover for durability. I've only set up profiles for a few games, but this is very easily customized. Excellent product.

I bought this mouse to replace an 8 yr old Microsoft trackball mouse. I swore I would never use anything but a trackball until this. I play WoW. A LOT of WoW, and I'm one of the main raid healers for my guild. This mouse has absolutely, hands down made it not only easier to heal, but easier to play in general. I have rather small hands with very long fingers. This generally means I have a hard time finding a comfortable fit for a mouse. The Razer fits in the palm of my hand perfectly while letting my fingers rest comfortably on the buttons. I keep my thumb in the middle of the pad on the side, which makes it easy for me to press 1-6 quickly. I would say the only issue I have is with the forward and back buttons under the scroll wheel. I have to move most of my hand to use just that one button. Luckily, I very rarely use it, so it's not a problem. In all, I like this mouse enough that we're replacing my husband's broken trackball with one just like it this week.

Great Mouse for League of Legends

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I definitely have to agree with the other five star reviewer here. If you are not using the Naga Hex for a MOBA (or ARTS - That was for you Nick...), you're not using it for what it was built for. It's understandable, then, that you would not be completely in love with it. I think their reviews should be discarded. They make an MMO version, use that one instead. We bought this mouse primarily for League of Legends, after having used Dynex brand wired mice for LoL for just over two years, we decided it was time for something that would help our gameplay a little more. We're pretty big gamers so I wanted something nicer. I was hesitant due to the pricing, though. PC Gaming components are not cheap per se, so had this been around maybe the $60 price point we would have upgraded sooner. This is a fantastic mouse though. It's light, responsive and manageable. I have a hard time adjusting, mostly because the mouse I was used to had a taller arch so my wrist was craned more. This is definitely more comfortable but does take some getting used to. All in all, we're fans of this mouse so far and plan on ordering the original (green one) for me! :)

The Naga Hex is by far the best gaming mouse I've tried. It has the advantage of being less pricy than the other Razer Naga versions, but the wheel lay out of the side buttons is, in my opinion, a superior design to the more expensive versions despite having fewer buttons.

I got this primarily for World of Warcraft. I upgraded from my a Razer Spectre (SC2 mouse) to this one. The extra buttons are just what I needed to be more efficient while gaming. It's taking some time to get use to as any new mouse would, but this is an excellent mouse for the price. I highly recommend this mouse If you're happy using your keyboard using keybinds but need a few extra buttons that are easy to use and reach.

This mouse is amazing. It is great for gaming. It is precise, and perfect in agility and control. My only problems are that the wire sometimes gets in the way, and Razer Synapse is not very user-friendly. 9.75 out of 10. Another great product from Razer.

I bought the Razer Naga simply because the red and black matched my custom PC setup. But I have been very impressed with its performance. The mouse is very customizable and responsive. Very happy with my purchase!
