Great mouse for casual gaming and normal desktop and internet use. Smooth operation making it easy to control the mouse. The setup was really easy just plug and play. The mouse has side buttons on the thumb side which are easy to reach, only two buttons but this is not advertised as an MMORPG mouse. The setup is the same on the other side of the mouse in case you want to use your left hand. I am left handed however I use the mouse in my right hand. The length is not bad it is somewhat narrow though. I am six foot three inches with large hands so I actually went into the store to try this mouse out first because I have purchased products in the past that ended up being really just too small for my hands. Over all good mouse has plenty of options for the gamer great for FPS games adjustable DPi is easy to use. I can recommend this mouse.

So I just got my Razer Taipan mouse specifically for gaming. I was using a Logitech G100 before & wow what a difference between the 2! The Taipan feels much better in my hand (I'm a fingertip gripper), has a much higher level of DPI, & 5 more programmable buttons. The weight of this mouse feels just right for me, & most importantly it is very responsive. Huge improvement from an optical mouse! It definitely has improved my gaming experience with games that only allow KB/M controls. The 4 side buttons (2 on either side) help tremendously with games that have a high number of inputs. Also lessens the burden on my KB hand in such games which is huge for me since I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. All in all I think this a great gaming mouse that most people will find very comfortable to use for long gaming sessions. The size of the mouse seems like it would suit smaller & larger hands just fine. It's not huge like some gaming mice but is not a small mouse either. I will say that this mouse is more geared toward use with FPS, Action/Adventure, & RTS games. If you are looking for a mouse to use for MMOs you would be better suited with a Razer Naga or other model with many side buttons. Now that I have had some time to use the mouse I am definitely glad I just bit the bullet & got this mouse. I was considering some cheaper alternatives. The quality & performance of this mouse lets me know I made the right decision. All the buttons & scroll wheel feel very solid, the body of the mouse feels well put together & solid, & the cord has a braided fabric sheathing with a gold plated USB connector. You can actually feel the quality compared to other budget gaming mice! All in all this a great gaming mouse for moderate to hardcore gamers who put their peripherals through the paces. It will last much longer than any budget gaming mouse out there. I know many people who swear by Razer products & have been using the same Razer mouse or KB for years. They simply make great products that stand up to the abuse heavy gaming sessions put on KBs & mice. If you're looking for a quality gaming mouse & willing to spend the money for one I recommend a Razer mouse that suits your gaming needs.

I actually purchased this mouse for my girlfriend. It is slightly too flat for my hand, but is great for smaller hands. Its responsive, comfortable and looks great! The Synapse software is easy to use for customizing your mouse functions as well. Highly recommend for smaller hands. (If you have a larger palm - I suggest the Razer DeathAdder!)

I'm left-handed and of course most computer mouses are designed with the right hand in mind. Too often I end up bumping a side-button when I didn't mean to which is why I was excited to try out this ambidextrous Razer-Taipan. However it has 2 buttons on both sides. Fortunately it is programmable and I ended up just disabling all 4 side buttons so I wouldn't do things by accident! If you're a hard core left hand gamer you may really appreciate this Taipan.

Whether for gaming or everyday use, this mouse works great. It has a lot of nice features, is ergonomic, and seems to be built well (as is normal for Razer in my experience). I can't recommend this highly enough.

This deffinately beats the old M$ mouse I had, DPI settings help when gaming or just browsing the web, much more comfortable to use, being an ambidexterious/symmetrical helps if my left handed friends or family members decide to use the PC.

I needed a mouse that could be used either right- or left-handed (by me). This one has a solid comfortable feel and consistently quick response times over a various table/desk surfaces. Dropped onto hard floors a bit and still works as new. Hardy little pup!

Bought this mouse because I don't need 50 buttons for the games I play This mouse is perfect for Games such as World Of Warcraft Starcraft 1,2 COD All Starwars The Old Republic and I am sure many others! And is normal enough to use as every day use with great precision and accuracy! Great mouse for the price!

I'm a leftie though I mouse with my right hand with ease... The Taipan feels good to me either way. Though I usually prefer a heavier mouse this one is a bit on the light side and feels some what hollow... Still, I enjoy how it performs. The dual laser technology is good compared to other Razer mice I noticed less acceleration when zeroing in on a target and the light construction was also helpful in achieving precise movements and accuracy. I did however find myself clicking the side buttons by accident periodically, but I'm grateful to have a mouse that caters to left handed users.

If you need an ambidextrous mouse, this is the best. I use it to swap between left and right and ease the stress on my right wrist. Unfortunately, I bought the last one on the shelf on clearance and it looks like Best Buy is dropping it. OH WELL.

Been gaming for a minute and so far this is my favorite sadly i been using it for over a year now and there is wear and tear feeling with the bottom so need to replace but might get same one

This is the perfect gaming mouse for CS:GO. I use it on a 2010 27" iMac and works extremely well. I have my sensitivity set to 3.8 in game with 1800dpi and have been doing really well with it. Resolution at 1366 x 768. I highly recommend the Razer Goliath's mouse pad too.

This is the second time I bought this mouse. Simply because my old one, well.. it was getting old. Wire coating was damaged and paint was coming off. I've had it for several years though. High accuracy when gaming and also just great for every day tasks.

It's a great mouse, I was stuck using wireless mice and they didn't preform that great. This mouse is super smooth. You just have to get used to the sensitivity which could be adjusted down on your computer. I recommend this item a lot, defiantly a solid buy.

I love the feel of this mouse. It is the perfect gaming mouse for me because although it has a few programmable buttons it does not overwhelm me with them either! Terrific precision, beautiful aesthetics, excellent feel. Highly recommend

Good ergonomic gaming mouse, works well on my mac. Side buttons on mouse can be a bit awkward to use at first. If you want more customization, better fit, extra buttons invest in higher end gaming mouses.

I had a first generation Razer Copperhead and had it for years. Needless to say, the Copperhead hasn't been made in over 3 years and I needed a viable replacement with the same button placement and comfortable feel. The Taipan fit the bill perfectly. It's extremely comfortable to use for hours of gaming. The programmable buttons on both sides are my absolute favorite. The only complaints I have are the price tag and not getting to choose another highlight color. Minor things, given the quality of everything else this mouse has going for it.

I have used the Razer Naga before and I loved it. The numbers on the side took me a while to use, but once I got used to them, I loved them. Only reason I got the Taipan was because of its reviews and because the Naga was not in-stock. A really comfortable gaming and fast mouse. My experience with Razer though, is the durability of the cord. I had to exchange my Naga 3 times in 4 years... it was a pain. I am hoping this mouse is a bit more durable. For now, it works great on SC and Diablo. I WILL TRY THE G502s Logytech one next time.

Better response than wireless. Good sensitivity. Don't look at the invisible laser on the bottom to see if it is working properly.

the first gaming mouse I have ever purchased and it checks all the boxes for me...doesn't have too many extra buttons like others and is fast, smooth and responsive.
