I for awhile I avoided purchasing external mic due to the cost. I bought to of these and run them into a Zoom H6. Now I have perfect crisp audio to match great footage.

Even with its $400 price tag, this wireless lav kit from RODE is worth every penny. Don't torture yourself and try to save money with cheaper wireless lavs from other companies. This unit looks professional and more importantly sounds professional. I primarily use it hooked up to an external audio recorder with the optional XLR adapter for the best possible audio quality, but even when I have used it hooked up directly to my DSLR the audio quality was still very clean and crisp. Make sure to pick up a set of rechargeable AA batteries though as the RX & TX units can eat up batteries fairly quickly depending on how much you use the kit.
Wish I had a negative, but I have yet to run into a problem or have a bad experience with this (knock on wood). The only thing I regret is not purchasing it sooner.

RODELink Filmmaker Kit Digital Wireless System is the simplest mid-range priced Wireless Lav Mic system around, had them up and running in under 3 minutes. Sound quality is excellent and the range in exceptional. Not fond of the included Lav mic. I found little disturbance. When i used my other mic it was excellent. Overall i am satisfied. Right wireless mic system for my project

Brought it for my YouTube videos and this is the best solution you can get for that amazing price. The audio quality of this is not comparable with any other products in the market. I did test many other options which were cheap, but they don't match the quality.

I'm a professional videographer who uses company bought, high end professional gear daily. I needed this wireless system to shoot projects on the side for personal use (I'm not allowed to use my company equipment for that purpose.) Overall, this product has fit my needs. The transmitter is a little bulkier that I would prefer and the microphone wire is very thin. I haven't had any problems with it yet, but I'm hoping it doesn't break because of it's thinness. This mic system has worked for me as I had hoped. I like Rode products for my DSLR use and have not had any issues with any of them. I've only used this for short distances, so I'm not sure how good the range is on it.

I needed something to get better sound than just the built in mic on the camera. The Rode mic fits the bill perfectly. Nice quality at an affordable price.

You need to manually adjust the audio level on your camera first then more the gains around on the mic default will result in a humming sound

Pro video shoots cannot have mistakes. There is enough pressure to get everything right as a videographer without having to worry about your equipment.
Unfortunately this became an issue with this system. First let me say that the sound is not a complete disaster, but when compared to some of Rode's other DSLR microphones, the quality is a bit lacking.
I purchased this unit in Manhattan for a shoot the following day. I immediately tried to test it upon arriving at my studio and was horrified that there was no sound. After attempting to follow instructions several times, I began to get creative and tried to scratch the surface of the mic. THIS MADE IT WORK! It seems there was something faulty with the mic crystal placement. I tried to work with it for more testing and found that it was intermittent.
I called Rode for further assistance. After going thru the normal tech support questions, the support agent stated that he felt it was a microphone issue. My stomach dropped upon hearing this because my shoot was the next day and Rode is in California. The agent reassured me by stating he was going to send a new mic FREE OF CHARGE PRIORITY OVERNIGHT! To say I was thankful was an understatement. In fact, it arrived the next morning before 10:30 am.
The new mic worked and I went out to do my shoot. Unfortunately, the mic clarity and volume is nowhere near my other Rode mic. The transmitter and receiver paired flawlessly and worked well, its just about the mic crystal.
If you are not doing a critical recording, this mic is quite good, however if you are doing something critical, check with Rode to see if they do an update on the mic crystal and the general mic hardware before committing to this mic.
