Definitely must need if you need to take extra photos in your journey.

I had purchased off brand batteries online and the day of my shoot they stopped holding a charge longer than a couple minutes. A quick run to Best Buy saved the shoot.

So far so good. Since I do not use my camera often, so I am still testing to see how many shots that one charge could last.

This battery does exactly what it is supposed to, and makes a great replacement, back-up, or additional battery for the Nikon cameras it is meant for. Third-party (i.e. cheap) batteries don't always work as advertised, so getting a genuine Nikon battery is really the only way to go to guarantee proper performance.

Not much to say but I need to warn anyone that is looking at a generic battery for their camera. My camera was very expensive so I decided to just buy the Nikon brand battery. It works perfectly as expected. But my friend decided to get some other brand. I believe he spent $12 on it. He thought it was a great deal and it seemed to work fine until one day it melted while in his Nikon D7200. It ruined his camera it fried everything. I'll stick with factory parts from now on I'm glad I spent the extra money on it.

Love the camera. It takes great pictures. It is really easy to use once you figure out how everything operates. . The instruction book could give better instructions. I like the extra lens so I can campture pictures when I am father away.

What can I say? This battery is exactly what it is. I needed an extra battery for a trip to Antarctica because the battery life drains quickly in extreme cold. Charges very quickly and held a charge very well.

Really happy that Best Buy restocked this Nikon EN-EL14A battery. I have been waiting a couple months to get my hands on one of these batteries. I needed a second battery for my Nikon D5600 as a back up when going out for photo shoots and didn't want to waste money on a generic battery brand. Charges and works just like the battery that came with my camera. I have no worries about the reliability since its an authentic Nikon battery.

This allows me to stay out all day on my shoots. The price is reasonable in comparison to other places and even online.

I bought one of these batteries from a camera store when I bought my Nikon D5500 in 07/2016. I also bought a different brand battery the same day. That one stopped holding any charge, so when I had to replace it, I bought the Nikon brand- the exact same kind as the original. Assuming they are still made the same, it should last a long time. On Best Buy’s part, ordering was easy, delivery was fast, and item was packaged well.

I bought this battery to supplement the battery that came with my camera. Two weeks after purchase I went on a road trip up Route 66, to the Grand Canyon, Hoover dam, Vegas, pikes peak and other land marks. Throughout the course of the week I took over 2,500 photos with this and the original battery. Never had one issue. Exactly what I'd expect. So you can either go with an off brand and worry about reliability or do as I did, buy this OEM battery and never have an issue.

Absolutely recommend getting a secondary battery. I bought a Nikon for my business trip to Italy in late 2019, and over the weekend while i was in Ferrara, i went to take pictures of the castle in the middle fo the city and my camera did not power on, it turns out that i left it on and it drained my battery! However, luckily i had this as my secondary battery and full of charge! So crisis adverted and a great time in Italy! Recommend for backup battery!

When I decided to by a replacement battery, I was originally looking to purchase a different brand other than NIKON. After looking a few reviews, I saw that some people had the issue that the knock off replacement didn't work for their Nikon D3400 (which is the camera I have). Therefore, I decided to purchase the original. When I first came to Best Buy's site, they didn't have any in stock so I was really bombed but then I waited about a week and saw that they were in stock so I bought two and they are working perfectly fine in my camera.

The battery is perfect. I just got a new camera and wanted a second battery. I've had a tough time with "replacement" batteries before so I decided to go straight for the brand name OEM battery and I couldn't be happier. Battery life is exactly the same as my original one/

Took thousands of pictures in Africa and my batteries were very reliable. Took a charge rapidly in spite of the electricity issues in the safari lodges.

Recharges very quick and seems to hold charge for a good while when not using the flash or auto focus a lot. Not pleased with the charger as it does not have a cable to plug it into the wall or surge strip. Time will tell as to duration of battery life using more aggressive photo techniques requiring auto focus and flash.

If you looking for a rechargeable battery for your device that will be reliable & comes with a good price tag - then this' the one for you.

I have never had the battery on my d5100 die on me during a shoot. However, during a few extended video productions, I saw the battery power get uncomfortably low. Having a backup provides a measure of comfort. It is not a "fun" accessory, but a necessary one. It works great in my Nikon d5100.

I've used the third party packs, they always die quickly and don't hold up in hot or cold weather. The original Nikon pack does, the quality shows big time. The only downside is that it's expensive, but one spare genuine pack in your pocket easily replaces 2-3 of the junky generic batteries. Most recent purchase I'm reviewing is only one of many, I have 7 EN-EL14 batteries up to 7+ years old, they all work perfectly today.
