Back in the day this movie was great still holds up the remake wasn’t bad it’s hard to believe we still have Charlie sheen but Patrick Swayze’s dead

Writer/Director legend John Milius made the quintessential '80s movie of jingoistic glory. Wolverines!!!

I always loved this version of Red Dawn. The new version just seemed too far out there for me, but the older version of the movie was full of great actors and great plot.

Swayze, Sheen, Grey. That pretty much sums up how silly this movie is going to be. Take Platoon and try to add in some Dirty Dancing and you're almost there in terms of how seriously this movie can be taken. It doesn't matter, however, because this is a true Cold War Flag Waiving Classic. Russians invade America and High Schoolers save the day. There are some particularly good scenes with C. Thomas Howell and Powers Booth as well as some nice work by Harry Dean Stanton, but this isn't about the acting, it's about killing those darned Ruskie invaders. Pure silliness that leaves you satisfied on a 4th of July.

Great movie regarding the dangers of Commie takeover of middle America and valiant efforts of high school kids to resist them. Classic.

This is the remake from the first Red Dawn back in the 80's. Although its a remake, they did change a lot of things in this one. Really love the action and storyline.

An accurate representation of what a military invasion or takeover would entail.

I just love going back and seeing all these actors when they were young, plus I think it is so much better than the remake. The new one is just stupid in my opinion.

This is set during the cold war era and depicts what most of our general fears were of an unchallenged outcome.

Another movie I upgraded from DVD. One of my favorite movies of all time.

This is just a classic. They tried to do a remake of this movie, you can't reproduce perfection. Plus with an all star cast you can't go wrong.

I watched this movie when it first came out, (I still have it on VHS) and we all loved it. It is better then the remake so we bought it on DVD.

This timeless classic is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat with its constant action and suspense.

This is one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. Glad I was able to find it. Recommend everyone watches it.
