It worked well for two days. Then started to malfunction. According to the company it is a bad controller. They were to send one out immediately. That was three weeks ago. Then we were notified it was on back order. The worst $350.00. We have spent in along time.

I got this purely for speed and it has not let me down. I would take out on the weekends to kill time. Had to learn about it like clean it and maintain it other than that I would recommend.

The Blackout XTE PRO Electric Monster Truck is just that! As I did with the other Red Cat product I read the manual charged the battery and later headed to the tennis court. Experience: If your use to a brush motor and move to this you will be in for a HUGE surprise! The speed is down right crazy!!! It is VERY responsive to the throttle!!! The Blackout will drift and do doughnuts with ease. Be warned it you hit the hammer (throttle) to hard while turning it may flip over. The sound this beast makes is heartwarming. Like its pushing a RC sized v8 in it. Durability: Geese in the beginning I flipped it at lease 7-10 times and it was fine. It's stance is perfect. It has a metal suspension that handle curves, bumps and turns very well. Once you understand the power you be fine. Overall: I would highly recommend this brushless beast to anyone who loves to drive hard and have fun. And just the thought that its still upgradeable and have plenty of parts on the market its a no brainer to make the purchase. I still recommend doing your research on this beast before buying. Its a hobby grade machine that needs to be taken care of to maintain the performance.

I purchased this truck for my first electric rc. I am very pleased.

Got this along with the xbe blackout that quit working, The spur gear is the same plastic one as the xbe. I then got the Volcano epx which is the pro with metal gears. The chassis broke during first run, but the rest is ok.
