So far so good. I’ve purchased two thus far, they have been easy to install. They typically last 5-6 months so I try to order in advance!

Very easy to remove and reinstall. I was wary of knockoffs based on reviews from a certain South American rainforest website, so I went with BestBuy since this was where I bought my fridge. Was not disappointed.

Says it removes 50 impurities Find a better Filter Unless this filter is "defective" and a one off, I would definitely find another one and test it, and look for other brands to test. I tested the one we got with a very good ppm detector for water, and it removed less than 5% of the detected chemicals. No way would I drink this "filtered" water. See the pics of before and after ppm's after filtering. (parts per million)

It says in the instructions to use continuously for a few gallons to make sure all the black particles get cleared out. Well I have used more than 10 gallons and there are still always black particles in my water. I think I got a defective one and it feels like I wasted my money.

The XWFE water filter works perfectly in my GE refrigerator. I was not sure if it would fit well after reading other reviews, but it went in perfectly. The water it filters tastes very good. I used to purchase bottled water, but now I am saving money because the XWFE filter makes the water taste even better than the bottled water that I used to buy. And, if you read the instructions, you can request that GE send you a water filter plug, just in case you do not want to use the water feature. Or just in case you can't afford a new filter, and only want to use regular water. The only downside is that they are expensive.

Our water tastes great! Its super easy and quick to install and change out. For my family of 5 we get about 6 months out of 1 filter. I'm very pleased with it.

These water filters are too expensive but I found that Subscribe and Save at Best Buy provides the best option. The filter was delivered to my house and worked when installed. I purchased one previously on line that would not work (due to a problem with the chip I assume).

Very excited to find that Best Buy carries the 'real' XWFE filters. I had previously bought from a large online retailer and the filters did not work because they were XWF filters with a XWFE label. The XWFE filters have a microchip which permits the water to flow! I will stick with BestBuy or GE to source my future filters! This filter is very easy to change and provides excellent water in my fridge! Ice cubes are excellent and water tastes great. NOTE" when using this filters, be certain to fun plenty of water through after changing them so that all of the carbon dust is flushed out... otherwise, dark cubes! (won't hurt you , just looks bad!).

The filter was put in my the installer. I bought 2 extra ones to have as backups. They look simple to put in. The water tastes great.

Easy to install. If you are getting water a lot frequently and are getting ice frequently the filter will need to be replaced before the six month date. For such a small filter, the price is a bit steep. Will buy a few more to have on hand to avoid them being out of stock.

This is the filter that is recommended for my refrigerator. I have to use it. It does a good job of doing what it is supposed to do. Obviously, I will purchase it again at some point in the future.

I love this filter. Good performance and last the planned period of time. Water has good quality.
