The only thing I don't like about this is it comes with hardly any visuals you have to download them. Still recommend because it's worth it.

I always wanted to try the VR headset, but never wanted to drop a huge amount of money on them - 40, 50 bucks - certainly not hundreds of dollars. Seeing this was on clearance for on $2.99 last week, why not. This is very much a no frills beginner VR headset, which is fine. And if it breaks, well for the price it won't hurt that bad. But as for quality - at least with this particular device I picked up - feels like "you get what you paid for." Basic focus wheel, another dial to widen the lens to match your eyes. It does come with a controller that pairs via bluetooth to your phone. My iPhone XS Max WILL fit the headset, barely. It's a bit of a challenge to squeeze it in without triggering the On/Off screen of the iPhone, activating Siri, or the volume buttons on the side. With a case on, no it simply won't fit, even an Apple leather case - so the case needs to come off. A concern for me personally also, when using this iPhone model and the hard, kind of cheap feeling plastic clamps to hold the phone in place...a fear of scratching your iPhone sides is real. I personally didn't want to risk that so I added some tiny pieces of foam to those VR clamps inside. Adjusting the dials for focus, again for the line of eyesight - again this may have been THIS particular model - it felt like these dials are ready to break off the device itself. I saw some reviews about that you can wear glasses with these, no you can't. So removing them and with myself having really terrible eyesight, I was still able to focus and see clearly through this headset. The head strap is adjustable, so this is a plus! Now once you get it set up, How to watch VR. I was manly messing around with VR on YouTube (Just type in VR in the search) Roller coasters, skydiving, VR tours of different countries, even space launches as if YOU were the astronaut. Since this was the first time I experienced VR,I found these videos just wild and fun. But after a few minutes feeling a little queasy, dizzy - that is to be expected I think. There are other apps you can download for free, Google Cardboard, from here you can sync up the Utopia model headset by using the phones camera to scan the QR code. More apps will be available though here. Plenty of other free VR apps via IOS and Android stores. One app may of us have on our devices is "Google Maps / Google Street View." This has a VR option built in. Once clicked, now you can feel you are literally on almost any street on the planet and look around - gives a sense that you are actually there. I even tried an online VR video converter - Too 10, 15 seconds of The Avengers as a "test" to see how this would look in the headset. That is a cool experience, it's almost like sitting in an iMax theater and your 10 ft away from the screen! The file size does become very large though thought this processing, it becomes a "dual stereoptic screen," and the small clip pushed to almost 900mb, way, way up from 120MB The front (where the Utopia 360 logo is) has a slide to open to expose the phone camera - then to experience AR (Augmented Reality) content. This may work on certain phones - especially a single lens phone, it would not work on my XS Max, the camera lens just did not line up with the "cutout." The one big downfall I did notice with these apps, videos is it really takes a toll on your phones battery. Even heats the phone up since I guess it uses a lot more processing power. I can't even imagine watching a full 2 hour movie on this because A)battery life, a "hot" phone and B) I think one may get a major headache and disorientation after a while wearing this. My personal advice, use these in sort periods of time. The controller, even though this paired up with my iPhone with no problem, it just didnt seem to do anything with any app (there is a IOS and ANDROID switch on the side, even with IOS selected, I still could not get it working on a few games I downloaded.) Possible a settings issue and something I have to mess around with some more. So like i said its a basic "starter" headset. And for the price of 2-3 bucks...it was worth it to see what the VR was all about. Don't expect all the fancy functions like you see from the more expensive Gear, Oculus, the Hive. Utopia360 - for the very low price Best Buy has this for - it's cool for viewing, exploring some very interesting VR content without blowing away your bank account.

I was able to set my iPhone 6s Plus and hold it securily to the VR. The VR kept slipping down from my eyes because of the weight and so had to hold the glasses by one hand as support. The VR experience was great but there are not enough contents available to enjoy. For this price I would keep it.

Let me start off with a warning, this headset DOES NOT WORK with Samsung phones if you have a CASE on it. This was an exploratory purchase for seeing if VR was something worth investing more money in. I can definitely say that this headset has not left a good impression. While I was able to experience the VR effect using them, the headset itself along with securing your phone in it, is unwieldy and flaky. The lenses are plastic and one fell out after two uses. It will not stay secured in the eye socket now. The straps slip on my head and the little controller is useless. The controller worked for a couple times and was only useful in moving the cursor around the screen. Even then, it was hard to select things on screen. Don't waste your money on this one. Maybe there are other intro level headsets that are better. I might check out the Zeiss product. If you really want to get into VR, then you will need to spend more money on the equipment to avoid disappointment.

This was my first step into VR and it works great for the price point. I paired it with an iPhone 7 and Bluetooth headset. My only fault lies with the controller and the button that makes contact with screen. The button doesn't work and the controller is all but useless unless watching a movie. It is better than cardboard and a good first step.

It’s a nice headset. I used this with iPhone 8 Plus. It didn’t fit with the case, so had to remove the case. Installed intended app and adjusted to google cardboard VR headset. One of the mirrors on the headsets didn’t hold in place. Watching the video using this set was ok. Overall it’s good for beginners and bit low priced when compared to others.

I knew going into buying a headset most of them work great because I had one before. The reason I brought this one was the added bonus of the Bluetooth controller. I figured why not pay the extra money and get the combination so I get everything I need in one box. That is the only mistake I actually made because I don't like the controller. If I knew it wouldn't work correctly with my phone then I would have bought the model without the controller. If you are going to buy a headset do yourself a favor and get the model without the controller because you might not even use it.

I purchased this for each one of my kids for Christmas. They opened it almost immediately. I was so skeptical when searching for a VR headset for a 10 & 6 year old because there are so many to choose from. This was such a great purchase - I couldn't be happier. It's comfortable for both of them to wear and has options to adjust on both the sides and front. The headset fit their phones just fine (Iphone 5 & 5S) as the phone holder has an adjustable cradle to accommodate most size phones. The clarity is nice and clear and the kids love them. So far, so good!

I read many reviews of this before buying on sale. I wasn't expecting Samsung quality at this price point, but I did expect a functional product. The only reason I would even give it one star is because it's fairly comfortable, although heavy. My eyelashes usually hit sunglasses, etc. but I didn't have any issues with that. I tried with my Samsung S8, S7 Edge and S6 in that order trying to get it to focus and the button to work. I have very thin cases on all of them, but removing them didn't help. No matter what adjustments I make, it won't focus, the button won't work and I have to remove it (because of the weight) and open it up to touch the screen. I would have to put a shim under the button slider, but I won't bother because it's so fuzzy. I also had issues with the phone power button and the S8 was a tight fit. It also tracks to the right as the demo goes along, so I was facing another direction by the end of one of the demos. I'll return it if I'm in the area of a best buy, but it's not worth a special trip.

I figured this would be a good way to test out VR and see if it was worth pursuing further. Was able to play a few games with it and my 7-yr-old enjoyed it, but it's a little cumbersome to get the phone in and out of the unit, and it didn't work well with my glasses (which I do believe is mentioned somewhere on the box or in the included docs -- that results may vary with glasses). I'll probably return it since it's a little uncomfortable on my face with my glasses, and I have to work my glasses out of the unit when I'm ready to take it off.

I got a great price on a deal of the day for this vr headset for the price of a cardboard version without a remote. Just learning how to use it but is definitely a good starter headset before you invest money in higher-end models. Great as a novelty for kids and at gatherings.

It works and does what it's supposed to, that's why I'm giving it 2 stars. But, it doesn't fit well around the face. Light is able to come in and distract from the experience. If you're in a dark room, this works fine. Also, the hand held controller, while good, feels very cheaply made. For it's low price, maybe it's worth it for letting students use it, or employees use it... but for personal use, wouldn't recommend it.

The Utopia 360 headset works as advertised. You have a decent VR experience. Certainly for the pricepoint it's not bad. The choice of applications that take advantage is limited from what I saw. That's probably the biggest drawback. Also, the iPhone 6S barely fit in it. Certainly not while in a case to protect the phone. So that would be my feedback.

It's a basic headset with a control set, yet one needs to remove the cellphone protector to allow it to fit inside the headset. I haven't been able to make the hand control to work it on my device despite having trying different apps.
