Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the SEGA Genesis 6-Button Arcade Pad's quality, button layout, and compatibility with various systems including PC, Mac, and consoles. Many appreciate the controller's comfortable feel, reminiscent of the original Genesis controller, and its long cord. While some found it slightly smaller than expected, the positive feedback on its functionality and design outweighs this minor concern. The ease of use and USB connectivity are also frequently praised.

This controller is about the most elite, versatile, convenient, thing out there. It's able to be played on any system. I have the Sega Mini ✓ I have Sega Genesis Classic on Steam ✓ I have Sega Genesis Classic on Switch ✓ I have Sega Mega Drive on my Raspberry Pi ✓ It works 100% perfect and no problems. Microcenter also has a cool looking Blue one that has a L and R button on top and the MODE button is in the middle like the old school controller. Need to check that out as well. I bought that to. Doesn't feel like cheap garbage in your hand also, it seems like the two controllers that come with the Sega Mini are very touchy D Pads do you agree??? This Controller is a must don't pass it up !!!

Controller looks like it's to scale to the original 6 button Sega Genisis controller. Has all the buttons including the MODE button. The quality feels well made. Cable is also very long The controller can be used on Sega Genesis Mini, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. Has multiple features like being able to switch between d-input and x-input by holding Start + B on the controller when on PC. You can also press Start + A to as a Dashboard button on PC when on X-input mode. For the switch, you can set the Dpad to control any of thumbsticks or directional buttons. Sadly for the PS3 its only stuck with D-input This is a great controller for classic gaming or fighting games and is a must buy. You don't even need a Genesis Mini to use the controller.

If you own a Sega Genesis Mini, you should definitely get this six button controller (especially for Street Fighter 2). I used to own the original Sega Genesis back in my childhood and I used to have this same exact six button controller, and this controller from Retro-Bit feels and plays as good as the original. This game pad is smaller than the original three button controller, and it works great when playing classic Genesis games on PC without having to download extra software. The mode button is also included, but it works differently from the original, as it used to select the Sega Genesis Mini's game menu.

Nice to have for SEGA Genesis Mini Console

Purchased to use with my SEGA Genesis Mini Console, and it's been nice to have. The controllers that came with the console have shorter cords, so this is a nice alternative because not only does it feature 6 buttons for gameplay, it has a longer cord so you don't have to sit close while playing games. The one thing that can be an issue is the location of the mode button... it's too easy to inadvertently hit during gameplay. But over time, I've noticed that hitting the mode button has become less of an occurrence compared to when I first bought the controller, though it still can be annoying when it happens.

True to the original Sega Genesis 6 button controller as I remember as a child growing up. This controller is sold separately from the Sega Genesis Mini console as that comes with 2 of the original 3 button controllers. This 6 button was release several years after the original to support fighting games such as the included Eternal Champions & Street Fighter II Champion Edition on the mini console. It’s faithful to the original in every way. I’ll actually be using it for all the games that don’t support the 6 buttons because it’s a better all around controller. It’s smaller and has a better feel in my hands. Though it’s a personal preference. Would highly recommend. SEGA!!!

I bought this for use on my PC. Works wonderfully with the Sega emulators that are floating on the internet. It also has compatibility for the Nintendo Switch which is awesome for their NES/SNES apps they have. It brings back memories of my childhood when I had my Genesis and I first got a 6-Button control pad. Highly recommended, and I would purchase another. I need to get the Sega Genesis Mini to round out my collection.

My only original concern with getting the Genesis mini was that it had the 3 button controller. This takes care of that concern, while allowing me to have OG controllers as well. Being able to use this with the Steam version of the Genesis classics really brings back the memories as well. It feels almost 100% like the original (the texture is ever so slightly different, but not distractingly so). Outstanding pickup!

The Saturn controller is hands down the best controller for fighting games and, in my opinion, for side scrolling 2D games due to a 360 Dpad and 6 front button layout. This controller is slightly smaller than the original controller and, as an old Sega Saturn owner, it feels smaller in hand. The button quality is good. Connection is via USB port, which allows you to connect to multiple systems and to play those games using a ‘saturn’ controller.

Retrobit did a great job making this controller modern for 2020, looks and feels like how I remembered it back when I was a kid playing genesis at a friend's house, though I was a SNES person myself I do remember how that controller felt.

THe product works excellent and it is very reminiscent of my original Sega game console. I am bummed that this remote was ommitted from the sega mini package. Just like when the mini nintendo was release, I feel they could have done better with the remotes. I has to buy it since it is essential for some games. All in all it works, I just don't agree that we needed to buy this extra.

This is an extremely accurate replica of the original Arcade Pad I have for my 1989 Sega Genesis. It works great for PC (and can be switched between DirectInput and XInput modes by holding B and Start for five seconds when plugged in), and the Switch. I do find one caveat with the Switch. The A/B/X/Y buttons are mapped exactly as shown on the controller, and Z and C are respectively mapped to ZL and ZR for the joycon grips and pro controller. This may make games like Crypt of The Necrodancer unplayable, as you need the regular L and R buttons for some functions. Otherwise, it's a fantastic buy for more than just a Genesis Mini!

This controller is well made and feels exactly like my 1990s 6 button Genesis control pad. It works great on the Sega Mini, Nintendo Switch and PC. Playing Sonic Mania on this is great and brings you back to a golden age of gaming.

    10 Foot Cord!!!

It's a 6-Button Genesis controller that feels like it's made from the same mold. If you want a genuine SEGA Genesis feel, and a freaking 10 foot long cord, then this is the controller for you. The d-pad is perfect for fighting games, and has great feedback when pushing in any direction. To me, it feels better than an original 6-button controller. The ONLY downside--which is a big downside--it's detected as a generic controller. Steam doesn't even recognize it without mapping the controller manually in the generic controller settings. It will not work with X-Input apps without a wrapper(which I haven't been able to find). So compatibility is a huge draw back. Funny enough though, King of Fighters XIV detects it as a SEGA Saturn controller, and works out of the box. This is the only game that did that though. So. Yay KoF! If you take the time to map it correctly, and load up a Genesis emulator, you can relive your childhood again for a very reasonable price.

It feels great, and work just like its original counterpart. Even works on pc and ps3 as it says in the box. So that also makes it worth it for use aside from the mini.

A pair of these two controllers really make the Sega system much more enjoyable. You can sit all the way back in the average sized living room and enjoy the gaming nostalgia from years past. They even add an extra set of buttons on each controller. I would definitely buy these as a pair of two and you will enjoy all the games on your Sega system without restriction.

Sega and Retro-Bit did a fine job recreating the Six-Button Controller for the Sega Genesis Mini!! I love using this for games such as Street Fighter II Special Championship Edition, Mortal Kombat games and Super Street Fighter II (the latter added into the system). Very good quality and it feels like the original incarnation

definitely had to get these when I order the Sega Genesis classic certain games you basically can't play without them and if you're anything like me and like to upgrade your system so you can play other games on it it's definitely a must if you're planning on hacking this system trust me and you'll need the extra buttons
