Living in an area without easy access to superchargers, I found myself in need of a reliable fast-charging solution. CCS charging stations are conveniently located in closely malls that is less than a mile around me, making them an attractive choice. After struggling to find OEM charging adapter in stock, I stumbled upon the Rexing CCS to Tesla Charging Adapter, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. What drew me in initially was the widespread availability of CCS fast charging stations, and this adapter's promise to broaden my charging options. With access to over 5,000 charging stations nationwide, the convenience factor skyrocketed. When it comes to fast charging, this adapter has proven itself to be a powerhouse. It boasts the ability to quickly charge my Tesla at Level 3 stations with speeds of up to 250 kW or 250 A. While charging speed does depend on battery status and charger specifications, it has consistently impressed me with its efficiency. One thing I particularly admire is the durability of the CCS adapter. I was relieved to find that this adapter is specifically designed for CCS-enabled Tesla vehicles. The included protective case is good, allowing me to carry it effortlessly in my glove compartment or under my seat. Now, I can go long drives without the burden of range anxiety or the necessity to divert solely to TSC locations when encountering other fast chargers. In conclusion, the CCS to Tesla Charging Adapter has filled a crucial gap in my charging routine. With expanded charging options, fast-charging capabilities, and a sturdy build, it has become an essential tool for hassle-free and convenient charging experiences.

Although it may be a niche market, I am so glad I have one of these. When we bought our car, we did receive the OEM adapter which is great. However there are some situations where you will need another one; damage to the original adapter, having a spare at different locations, having the option of different locations/CCS to charge. I was surprised when I opened the box as I was greeted with a to go case. The other Rexing product did not come with a case, which was strange. I read through some of the reviews before using this adapter and I'm glad I did, please make sure you go to the settings of your Tesla to enable CCS adapter charging. I did achieve 75kW at 34% battery, think several people didn't hit 75kW. The charge rate/speed is also relative to charging station and how low your battery is, just keep that in mind. I saw some reviews where people were upset they didn't get that charge rate and was upset. Although I never got 250kW but I always find a station around 30-50%, and I don't think the stations around me are level 3. The device feels heavy, sturdy, industrial grade. Comes with a foamed case which was very nice and feels well protected. Just remember on the product itself it even tells you to make sure you enable CCS adapter charging.

The adapter itself is very well made. It connects perfectly to the car and was able to charge from the first try. Something even the original CCS without adapter (to CCS EV) fails to do sometimes. The strong sale point and owning advantage of a Tesla is the very nice and large charging network. With Tesla you would never have to worry about where and when to charge. I've done many many trips with my Model Y without issue. This adapter from Rexing is indeed a good addition to your Tesla charging adapter's kit. While you may not need to use it very often, you still would wish sometimes that you have it. Actually, it would be even nicer if this would run the regular J1772 and DC CCS in the same way (interchangeable) but it doesn't have the pins for J1772. What I don't like about it so far is its bulkiness and it's not Rexing fault. Again, they really did a great job making this one with a good price (compared to different brands). It allows charging at higher rate (in 50KW in picture) while you need to keep moving. The CCS cable is very thick and bulky. It is also very heavy and not installed in a convenient way for Tesla rear driver side charger port position. I was afraid that the Tesla charging port would get damaged by the way the charging cable was pulling on it. It charged fast and well. No heating up or slowing down while charging. To use it, I recommend doing it this way: - Connect the adapter to the CCS connector. - Open the Tesla charging port and plug the connected adapter and charging cable - Make sure it is well connected. In EVGO, use the app or the card to start the charging process. Wait until it is done. To remove, use the car screen or the phone to unlock the charging port. Pull out the Rexing with the CCS. Click the latch button on the CCS connector and disconnect the adapter. Put the adapter in the very very nice carrying case (amazingly nice). Place it in your favorite place in the Tesla and keep driving. If you have a Tesla and you want to have all ways to connect to any charging port might be available to you out there, get this one and keep it close. The day you will need it, it will be saving your life.

This brand is not messing around when it comes to robust CCS to Tesla (NACS) adapter. It’s got a good heft to it and comes with a nice carrying case to keep your Tesla tidy. Even though I prefer to only use Tesla Super Chargers while on road trips, this CCS adapter will open me to more charging options as Tesla Super Chargers become more and more busy. Especially in the year 2024 when more auto manufactures like Ford, Rivian, etc are going to be compatible to use at Tesla Super Chargers. The adapter is rated for 250 kW max and at my local EVgo charging station can support up to 350 kW with their CCS plug. While charging speeds also depends on your current state of charge, I have no reason not to believe the 250 kW capabilities of the Rexing adapter. I did get about 127 kW charging speeds with 32% state of charge in my Tesla Model Y. I probably would have gotten closer to 250 kW if I was under 20% state of charge. That said, it was near Tesla Super Charging speeds. Without the ability to “precondition” my Tesla battery since I’m not navigating to a Tesla Super Charger, that may have hindered the charging rate just a bit. Overall, I’m very happy with the Rexing adapter. It does the job on converting charging stations with CCS to Tesla NACS. I give the adapter 5 out of 5 stars but 1 out of 5 stars for the actual charging experience. This is no fault to Rexing but to 3rd party charging stations out there. Even with the brand new EVgo stations I visited, it still took me over 20m to get started. One of the stalls was already out of order and I did have to bounce to a few different stalls to get EVgo to recognize my Tesla using their new AutoCharge+ feature. At the end of the day, Tesla Super Chargers are still king in uptime and ease of use. However, a nearby Tesla Super Charger was .41/kWh and EVgo ending up costing me .18/kWh.

Used and tested on a 2022 Tesla Model Y performance. ****Important**** Make sure your Tesla has CCS capability. Got to Menu --> Software --> "Additional Vehicle Information", you should see "CCS adapter support enabled". Short Summary: Small and low cost way to add more charging network to your Tesla. I wasn't able to test full capabilities due to CCS chargers not transferring over 70kw charging rate but it did charge faster then my OFFICIAL Tesla CHAdeMO 50kw charger and was 1/3 the cost. I would highly recommend this for anyone taking roadtrip with your tesla. Preface Most people with electric cars have range anxiety especially for the standard range models and anyone deviating off the main tesla charging network route. I had this experience when road tripping in my tesla in Utah and Arizona. In California, theres plenty of tesla chargers and the rest of the states you have to follow the tesla charging network. Now with this, you can add additional chargers and not feel the need to only stick to Tesla chargers. Use The Rexing CCS to tesla charger adapter was relly easy to use, make sure your tesla is CCS capable and have a membership to any CCS charger networks first though. Just charge your car like normal. One issue that i did experience, lower charging rate. Even though i preconditioned my battery as i would going to a tesla supercharger the CCS charger did not output anything higher than 70kw. I tried a few different chargers to see if i could get a higher rate but no success. This was nothing to do with the Rexing adapter itself and I suspect the car to charger "handshake" wasn't fully established in this case by Tesla and Evgo. Overall, I'd highly recommend that any tesla owner with ccs charging capable get this to expand your charging network and be able to drive to unsual destinations.

I’ve been interested in getting a CSS charger to have other options then super chargers for fast charging. After getting this, and trying it, I’ll probably mostly still use super chargers but its nice to have other options. So I would say, before getting any CSS charger for a tesla, look around if you actually need it, as I don’t think I’ll use it much. But the review is about the product, and not the lack of chargers around me. The rexing CSS adapter itself works great. Its new so it took a little to get it to connect on the first try, but after that I was charging at fast speeds right away. The one downside is that since you’re not going to a super charger your car doesn’t get the battery ready, but that’s more on the car side then the adaptor. If you’re looking for a CSS adaptor, I would recommend this one. I tried it and had no problem and will certainly use it when there is an option to do so. The product is great, but again, check that you'll actually be using it as that was more of an issue for me to find a place to use it then issues with it when using it.

Owning a Tesla you get to take advantage of the using the supercharging network. Most of the time, you don't need anything else. On rare occasions, there may only be CCS charging available in your area. You will need this adapter in order to use these chargers. There are several CCS charging stations within 15 miles of my house. I had to go to three different ones. They were either not available, broken, or the app says they are available but when I get there, it's being used. I had to download different apps on my phone as well. Electrify America, EVGO, and PlugShare. I had to create accounts for each one as well and make a deposit before being able to use it. The adapter feels solid. It has a tight fit. Make sure you hear the clicking sound when connecting it to the CCS charger. That's the locking mechanism. Once everything is connected, I go through the process of initiating the charge. It takes about a minute or so for the car and charger to connect and begin charging. Disconnecting the adapter may take some effort because of the tight fit. No issues with the adapter being used. But I can't say the same with the experience of charging CCS. The adapter works as expected. Charging outside the Tesla supercharging network is another story.

I just took delivery of my 2023 Tesla Model Y in June. Unfortunately, new Teslas only come with a J1772 adapter from the factory. Naturally, the first thing that I did after delivery was purchase a mobile connector and I also installed a wall connector in my garage. The only real thing missing from my charging arsenal after that was a CCS adapter. That’s where Rexing comes in. Rexing makes high quality auto accessories and this CCS adapter is no different. It feels well constructed and definitely has some heft to it. I appreciate that it comes with its own storage pouch, which fits perfectly next to my mobile connector case in the sub-trunk. My husband and I do a decent amount of traveling and while Tesla’s supercharging network is robust, it isn’t going to get you everywhere just yet. It’s always good to be prepared with adapters, especially those that are high quality and reliable. I trust the Rexing CCS adapter to hold up in all weather conditions and to safeguard both itself and my vehicle from potential overheating issues. I also appreciate that this adapter is available from Best Buy as getting product support from them is FAR easier than the Tesla Shop. 10/10 would recommend.

The Rexing CCS to Tesla adapter is a great accessory to have. This is not a necessary accessory, but it will give you additional peace of mind because you obtain access to additional charging stations. I love the Tesla Supercharger network, but the truth is that it is still growing. I was once in a restaurant and the parking lot that had many CCS charging stations but no Tesla or J1772 stations. At the time, I did not have a CCS adapter but if I did, it would have been so convenient to charge while having dinner. The Rexing CCS adapter comes in a nice case with a zipper. The case is good quality. I like that I can store the adapter in the case when not in use. So far the CCS adapter works great with no issues. The only small drawback was that it was a bit of a tight fit when plugging the adapter into my Tesla Model Y. It appears as if the Tesla side of the adapter is slightly thicker than the standard Tesla plugs. The adapter itself is heavy duty and durable and it is not that heavy. It is made to last. The maximum speed is up to 250 KW. I am satisfied with this adapter and would recommend it to cover any gaps where a Tesla Supercharger may not be available.

This Rexing CCS to Tesla Charger Adapter is a nice addition for Tesla owners to have as even more EV brands are gaining access to Tesla superchargers. It allows one to have additional options knowing one can utilize Level 3 fast charging stations such as EVGo. We gave it a test run at an EVGo charging station with our family's model 3 and had no issues with connectivity or charging speed. The charger adapter is noted as being about 6” x 4” and weighing approximately two pounds. I appreciate that a nice, well-padded storage case is provided to allow for ease of storage and protection. The unit seems to be well built with waterproof features to ensure reliability for outdoor use. For those doing road trips or a decent amount of daily driving we’d recommend this as a good addition for allowing Tesla drivers even more charging options. Some may think the cost is a bit much for an item that may be used sparingly, but it will pay for itself if even once one finds themselves in a situation where Tesla superchargers are not an option and a charge is required.

This connection is all you need for your Tesla if you have the right year and model. Make sure you double check all of your specification. Because you don’t want to get the wrong connection. The whole purpose of disconnection is to have options in charging your car. The material is durable plastic rubber that is made to be used and stored away. I stored in my glove box, and I keep it in the box for protection as well. It’s small enough for any type of travel, and I am able to use it when I rent a Tesla, which is pretty awesome. Having options is always good and I’m glad this part exist. It might be a good idea for you to look up a YouTube video to make sure you’re using it correctly but other than that it’s pretty easy to use and it should last for years on end. Rexing is a good company and their product is tried and true I don’t care to use any other product except what I know and have heard what other people have said about them. If you were interested, I say give this part a try.

The adapter is great. Definitely make sure your car has the CCS adapter support. The case is very nice to keep the adapter in. It is padded and comes with a nice amount of foam to keep it from rattling around. The case is a bit awkward to close with the amount of foam, but it keeps the charger in place. Out in the sun, the adapter did get a bit warm since it is black. However, it does work perfect. Charges at the max that the chargers around me would output. I never thought of an adapter like this but being able to charge at a larger pool of stations is a big plus. Funny how you find things you never knew you needed till they are there. Overall, definitely a must have for Tesla owners especially if you travel a lot. You can charge at all major charger stations, including the Supercharger network. I cannot wait till my next cross country trip. I will feel more confident I will not run out of power on the road. There is something reassuring with this product. It is a strong buy for me.

I try my best to only charge at Tesla Superchargers due to the unreliability of fast charging stations. This was the main reason I bought a Tesla in the first place. But it’s good to be prepared as sometimes you need to charge up and you are just outside the range of a Supercharger. Or you want to grab a bite to eat at your favorite restaurant that just so happens to have a DC fast charging station in the parking lot. The Rexing CCS to Tesla Charger Adapter is the best adapter for those situations hands-down. The adapter is built well, I accidentally dropped it in the parking lot on the first go (of course) and just a minor scuff was all the damage. CCS fast chargers are already big boys so I’m glad that they were able to make this adapter as compact as it is. My advice is plugging in the adapter to your Tesla THEN plugging in the CCS charger as the two together is just too unwieldy. What’s great about the durability of this adapter is that the peg at the top is retractable and rubberized so you know exactly how far in the adapter goes and don’t have to worry about breaking the charging plate. All the other adapters I’ve seen just have a little plastic, non-moveable peg. I did not see any noticeable charging loss which I was worried about! I had a 50% so I did not expect to reach the full 150kW that the charger puts out. I usually hover around 75kW at an equivalent Supercharger and that’s exactly where I was at with this adapter. All in all, it’s a little pricey for something I try not to use that often, but it’s built well so I know that when I do need it, it will be ready to work.
