Customers commend the V2 Front and Rear Camera Dash Cam for its dual cameras that can record both the front and back of the vehicle, as well as its great video quality in ideal lighting conditions. The easy setup process is also appreciated. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the night vision quality, stating that it is only good enough to show what happened.

    An Uber/LYFT Driver Must-Have

---SETUP--- The setup of the V2 camera will require some time to avoid a sloppy job. I recommend sticking the camera where you want before running the cable along the edges of your car. The manual has a link to a video that can show you how to best set it up and includes a little plastic crowbar to help hide the cable in your vehicles sides. All in all, it took a little over 45 minutes for me. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this dashcam is that it has 2 cameras, one that can be aimed at the front and one that can be aimed towards the back meant to capture vehicles behind you. It can accept a memory card of up to 128 GIGs to record many videos. When memory card is full, it will delete older videos first unless you have locked a video to prevent it from being deleted. It will record sound in the cabin if you choose it to and has direct WiFi to connect with your phone anywhere you are. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of the dashcam was ok. My previous dashcam had more clarity during the night videos but not by much. Since the camera that you aim towards the rear will be attached to your front windshield, you won’t find much use of the rear dash cam if your vehicle is long or if there are people or objects obstructing the view of the rear window. The dash cam that aims to the front of the vehicle performs great during the day. At night, you’ll be able to see cars clearly when lighting outside is good, but it’s very difficult to read license plate numbers from the video footage itself. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations but I feel that it depends on how the climate will be like in the area you plan to use it most that could be the biggest factor in your purchasing decision. It is highly recommended that you put your camera away when not in use, but most people that I know that own a dash cam just leave it on the windshield and forget about it. According to the manual, this camera can take temperatures of -10℃ to 70℃ (14℉ to 158℉). My previous camera could go up to 300℉ or higher, which is perfect for Texas kind of heat. Though the rear dash cam isn’t great for capturing what happens outside the back of your vehicle, it does capture the cabin perfectly. This makes it perfect for two groups of people: VLOGers (people who record video logs for YouTube or other social media sites) or UBER/LYFT drivers. Uber and Lyft drivers would highly take advantage of video recording in the cabin to provide footage of any incidents that may occur where the passengers are involved. ---VALUE--- The price for the dash cam in terms of value is comparable to other dash cams that may not even have a second camera. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for drivers who live in an area where it won’t get extremely hot during the year and for Uber and Lyft drivers who want to keep a record of what’s happening in their cabin. When you insert the memory card to a computer, you’ll see two separate recorded videos with the same time stamp; one having the footage of the front of the vehicle while the second has the footage from the rear. For those who don’t own a computer, you can use the app called TimaCam to download the footage to your phone by connecting your phone to the WiFi signal that the camera itself emits.

I received this unit and was excited to set it up. The first thing I did after opening the box was to read the included instruction booklet. The instructions are well written and detailed which you do not usually see with consumer electronics now days. One thing you will need to get this to work is a micro SD card for recording. So I picked one up and formatted in my laptop as the instructions indicated. This is where I ran into a bit of a snag. Following the instructions to insert the SD card in to the unit, the unit provided a message that said "please insert SD card". I followed the ejection procedure in the instructions and re-formatted the SD card. I again attempted to load the card and received the same message. This time I didn't remove the SD card and used the unit to format it. That did the trick. This bit of information was not in the instructions, so keep that in mind. Once the set up was completed the unit worked great. You can record on a continuous 1 or 3 minute loop or no loop at all. You can manually record by pressing the record button. Once the unit is turned on it will automatically start to record. You have three modes, video, camera and playback on the unit. You can also remove the SD card and off load the video and pictures to your PC. The V2 is an all in one front/rear camera that is not overly complicated and works well.

The image quality is great and you don't have to worry about stretching a wire through your car for a rear-view camera - it's two in one (of course the area behind your car is not visible as well - you can only see it through the back window, but it's better than I expected). The trunk in my car opens upward with the glass, so attaching a separate camera to the glass would be very problematic, and this option works just fine. There is also a great quality audio. The angle of view is very wide for both cameras. You can even see a little in the side windows through the rear view camera. Easy to figure out controls (manual included). I was reading in online reviews that the suction cup is no good, so I was planning to use the adhesive mount and detach the camera from the mount every time (I prefer not to leave it, to avoid a car break-in). However, it is very hard to detach it from the adhesive mount: you have to slide it in precisely and it locks in very hard: it would probably break or detach the adhesive from the glass if you do it all the time. So, I went with the suction mount and it worked just fine. It doesn't fall if you attach it well, you just have to play with it and get used to it. You hold it close to the glass and press the little pedal, which pushes the suction cup toward the glass. If you hold it too close to the glass, the pedal is very hard to push, it was hurting my fingers. If you hold it too far, it's easy to press, but the camera will fall off in a minute. So, I figured a way to hold it at just the right distance, and it now takes me only 5 seconds. I keep the power cord plugged into the "cigarette lighter" and let the cord just hang down from the camera, it's not bothering me at all. I haven't used the app, I prefer to have the wi-fi off - no need for extra wi-fi in my car, it's not healthy. But I checked the recording on the micro SD through a computer, and it looks great. The files come in pairs: front and rear, two separate files for each time period. The only thing I haven't figured out is locking a file to prevent it from being deleted by pressing the OK button. It doesn't seem to work. Maybe I am just doing it wrong. You can easily move the lenses up and down, but you normally don't need to adjust them - even if you don't attach the camera in the exact same spot, the angle of view is great. Overall, it's a great camera, no complaints. Of course, you can't see the license plates when you are moving down the road at a speed, but you still have proof of what's happening in general. Usually, in case of an accident, you are able to come out and take photos, and the camera provides proof of who was moving which way, who was honking, etc. I was told by an expert that if you want an excellent quality dash cam, that would cost around $500. So, for the price, this camera is great in all aspects. Good night time quality too.

The holidays are peak season for traveling and between my GPS (which requires a lighter outlet), phone charger and the dash cam I’m disappointed about the lack of dynamic of the camera. Unfortunately the device itself feels cheap and looks poorly built. In my picture you’ll see an attempt to paint a button black but the light shines through. The video resolution is also super poor quality and the screen on the device isn’t very clear. Lastly the device only works if it is plugged in. So in regards to charging ports you have to prioritize your car ride. I really wish this had better features.

I always use this! The audio and video are crystal clear, and in hd. Easy to maintain and transfer files on your computer. I've used them for insurance, rideshare, even beat a ticket! Add the gps gadget and it will track your location and prove your speed as well. One of the best, clearest night vision cameras on the market for a great price!

This Rexing V2 works very well and is a breeze to install and set up. Only Big issue, the built-in WiFi isn't compatible with my Note 9. You can't use the Wi-Fi to mobile to view recorded film. I have contacted Rexing and they are looking for a solution. Past my date to return to BestBuy.

I like the fact thats it had a front camera and cabin camera. Both seemed to be good image quality. However, by placing it in a non-obstructive area of the window limited the view of the cabin camera. I wanted it to be able to see out side and back windows and in a '16 civic, it didnt work out to well. I only used it for a few minutes and then returned.

    Champion of Dash Cams

The Rexing V2 is the must have dash cam for the ride share drivers. It features front camera, rear camera, different resolutions and many other options. After using it on several long drives (4 hours, one way) this camera performed like a champion. Pros Resolution Night Vision Microphone Front and Rear Cameras Suction Cup Size Ease of Use File Locking Cons Micro SD card Suction Cup USB Cable Night Vision Resolution options are at a premium. You can select between; • FHD P30 + FHD P30 (1080P+1080P, 30fps, dual channel) • HD P30 + HD P30 (720P+720P, 30fps, dual channel) • UHD P24 (2196P, 24fps, single channel) • QHD P30 (1440P, 30fps, single channel) • FHD P60 (1080P, 60fps, single channel) • FHD P30 (1080P, 30fps, single channel) • HD P120 (720P, 120fps, single channel) • HD P60 (720P, 60fps, single channel) • HD P30 (720P, 30fps, single channel) This can be a little daunting or confusing at first. But let’s break it down. 720-2196 are Resolutions P=Progressive FPS=Frames Per Second HD= High Def UHD=Ultra HD QHD=Quad HD FHD=Full HD So let’s say you’d like to only run the front camera and disable the read facing camera, you would choose the FHD P30 or FHD P60. I choose the FHD P30 setting as this used a smaller amount of memory but still had a higher resolution at a smaller frame rate. When I would travel shorter distances I used the FHD P60. Applying this setting was simple to change within the menu each time and took a few seconds. It all really depends on your preference of playback and memory card size. The SD card used was a Samsung Class 100 128GB. Which gave me over 6-8 hours of recording time on the FHD P30 setting. When using an SD card you can use almost any class 10 card except any SanDisk brand. If you use the SanDisk, this device will damage your card and render it unusable. This is stated by Rexing and is confirmed! I used a 32GB card and after about 20 hours of use, it killed it. Not one computer it was added to was able to see it. You can move either camera to face forward or backward and swap the view style. If you face the rear camera forward and leave it enabled, the image would be upside down. This is changed by a button press. Enabling and disabled the microphone feature is also as easy as pushing a button. Audio from the mic into the recorded file is always clear and audible. Night vision was decent on screen, illuminated by the headlights of your vehicle. When viewing playback files, night vision was also decent. Protecting files was also simple, you touch the key icon on the device and it would lock the file while recording or while replaying the video. You can delete all file from the memory card and these files would be safe from deletion. If you format, which is suggested by Rexing at least one a month, the files aren’t safe from a format. The cable provided for connection to the device is a car charger to USB Mini A. A change from Mini A to USB Micro A or B. This is newer technology and most cars, computers now have it. The size of the device is excellent. It stores easily and when added to the windshield it doesn’t obstruct your view. The suction cup adjusts well for all types of views. My only issue with the suction cup was that there were times it would lose suction and fall off the windshield shortly after swapping vehicles. The last time this happened the device hit the dash then hit the console and cracked the screen. I explained the situation to Rexing and they contacted me and said they would replace the device free of charge. Simply in love with this device. As said before if you are a ride-share this is the must have device. I am not a ride-share and use it on a daily basis as testing now to capture what happens on the road.

I purchased this on sale and very happy with this camera. It has both front and back camera. The back camera mainly monitors the cabin of the vehicle, which is kind of useless to me but would be perfect for Uber drivers. The audio is clear. The video captured is clear and wide angle. I have not looked driven at night yet so I can't comment how clear it is at night. My favorite part is it comes with two 3M tapes and one suction cup for mounting. This translates into the ability to use it in 3 vehicles without purchasing/moving additional mounts. My least favorite part is the lack of instructions but it's pretty intuitive if you give it some thought. The interface itself is kind of "clunky" and takes a little while to figure out. But once you are able to connect via WiFi with your phone, it is more friendly.

I bought two of these for my own car and also two for my friends. All four experience these issues. Does not record all videos, sometimes you may need a video the most but when you check the camera for that specific video, it hasn’t been recorded, so frustrating . Ana a lot of memory failures happen. Also the camera restarts many times during the driving.

very nice dash cam to have. glad they included 2 different style mounting pieces. I want to start out with reminding that this has 2 cameras on it. one for forward, and one is to capture inside the vehicle. this leads me to one reason I am giving a 4 star. I have a rexing dashcam that has a front camera and a rear camera. I like this model and thought it would have had a plug so I could also plug in my rear camera to it. not the case, so a bit disappointed that it did not have that as an option. I do like that the mounting is the same though. however this leads to a possible issue. my last dash cam with just the smaller base piece, in the summer heat, causes it to fall. so not sure if this will be the same, or if the suction cup style mount would end up being better. cameras are great, easy to use and set up. love that you can set it to loop record. it has a accident detection so if get in a accident it will auto lock that loop. (not sure how well this works and hope to not find out). you can also lock out loops if you see something you want to save. one other reason for a drop in a star, no memory. be nice if they had a 8 gig or something provided at least. or internal memory with option then to add the sd card for more memory. i highly recommend to get a dash cam and recommend rexing brand. so many things happen these days. if you don't mind not having a rear camera that goes in the rear window, this is great. it does capture towards the back but if longer vehicles or someone in the middle in back seat or have things in back, those may block the view. if you are a taxi, uber driver etc, this is great as it captures inside the vehicle.

I have a dash cam now in all my vehicles. This one takes excellent images both at night and day. The power cable is long enough for any setting and it can run on battery for while. It can display both front and rear cameras at once or one at a time. The only two thing I don't like are the size and the rear view camera is fixed in place and cant be detached. The build quality is good and feels solid. The set up is not as easy and intuitive as I've see but following the instruction manual is easy.

I have been looking around for a good dashcam and I think I have found it with the Rexing - V2 Front and Rear Camera Dash. It has 2 lenses that record video inside and outside, which is great because you can have a recording for both. I can see it come in handy not only for the outside but inside if you were to get pulled over you could have a recording of your interaction with the police. Another good thing this dashcam would be good for us for people who drive for lyft or uber, you can have recordings of each passenger ride that you take for your own safety. As far as setup goes it was pretty straight forward. Rexing includes 2 mounts, one is a window mount with 3M adhesive and the other is a window mount with a suction cup. They also include a cigarette lighter adapter for power and a plastic tool to help you install the power wire within your headliner or trim of vehicle. The camera powers on when you turn on your vehicle and starts recording. You can do 1-3 minute loops or just have it recording nonstop if you have a large enough memory card. The display on the unit itself can display 3 different views, inside vehicle, outside vehicle and both views at the same time. You can also mute the mic if you do not want sound in the recording. When playing back your recordings you can do it on the unit itself which is a little tedious or just pop your memory card in a computer which is what I do. The dashcam records 2 files at the same time. One file will have an outside view and the other will have your inside view. I like this feature because your can 2 complete separate videos for playback. There is also another feature that this unit has that is also a nice feature, you can download an app to your phone and have it connected to your dashcam. The quality of video is very good also, you can adjust the resolution if needed also. Upon playback on my computer I found it to be clear and good enough if I were ever in an accident for proof. Overall I like this dashcam very much and recommend it.

On paper this sounds like a great product however, I was not impressed. It has Dual HD cameras, wifi, shock sensors and all of the stuff I would expect in a dashcam. The best feature of this dashcam is the dual cameras. They record a nice wide angle and are crystal clear. What this dashcam lacks is useability out of the box and ease of use. My first disappointment is that it didn't come with any storage. So be sure to pick up a SD card. Without one, it is completely unusable. Next, I was disappointed by how difficult it was to navigate the menu's. The user interface is not intuitive and its extremely difficult to view the recorded video. The easiest way to view the videos is by removing the SD card and viewing the contents on a computer. Finally I was disappointed by the mounts that it comes with. The suction cup would not stay mounted to the windshield no matter what I did and the tape mounts do not allow for any adjustments. With all that being said, if you are looking for a dual camera dashcam, this will get the job done, if you can get past its shortcomings.

I do a lot of driving and thought this would be a neat addition to my car. the picture quality is much better than i was expecting. the picture on this is crystal clear, best picture ive seen from any dash cam. it has a pretty wide view and at night it changes the lighting and still gives a decent picture, just not as great of quality as the day time one. it records in 15 minute increments, which is better than previous models which were more around 5 minutes. it also records audio inside the car but I havent used this feature yet. price is a little steep compared to other dash cams, but im sure "you get what you pay for" applies to this product. its very well made and has both front and back cameras in one box which most dont offer
